    I bought the Totaltech membership because Best Buy has become my go-to store for appliance purchases. I like the free delivery and setup and haul away service that is included. So far I haven’t needed repairs, but if I do I expect they will demonstrate the same level of professionalism I’ve seen so far.

    Appointments are necessary and sometimes you just cant wait for an appointment. Geeks did a back up of all my data so i could transfer it to mycomputer after virus clean up. Could not transfer my QuickBooks data.

    Dont read into it to much, when the rubber meets the riad these appliances are to confusing. Just buy this option if something comes up with the appliances you make a call you have questions you tube it and take a chance in messing it up ir call Best Buy and have ut handled by the ines that have the knowledge

    If you're buying a computer or TV you need to purchase the BB Total Tech. As a retired person, I sometimes need help with my computer and I know they are a phone call away. You also get discounts on products and installation. My TV was delivered and set-up for free. In my opinion, I am saving $$$ b/c of this purchase.

    AT first I balked at spending $200 for tech support, but as life would have it, I really needed their help with 2 of my laptops, so it really paid off having the Total Tech, and I suppose it's good marketing for them because now I think first about buying my new gizmo from BB instead of shopping around.

    In the past I have used Apple Care to answer all of the questions I had. The sales rep showed me how totaltech was a money saving deal and made transfer of data, as well as at home installation all doable without further charges. I look forward to the one on one training available in the store. This is true CUSTOMER CARE!

    I was skeptical but I purchased it anyway. They kept telling me about price match and how I could get money back if my item went on sale for a lower price within 90 days of purchase. So I purchased it and YES, less than 30 dsys later, my item went on sale and I received a refund for the difference. Glad I purchased it.

    This is the warranty that we all have been wishing we had For The past 15 years, instead of paying individual Policy, we get an all-in-one intuitive Actratic Policy... I am actually looking forward to seeing how Best Buy will modify this rule & benefit in the future

    I’m very disappointed with Total Tech: read all the fine print before you buy! I bought the latest Pixel phone 2.5 weeks ago. It started shutting down randomly. Since I have Total Tech coverage, I thought there would be no problem. There IS a problem. I started by trying to chat with a Tech online “Free Geek Squad® support available 24/7/365” Nope. I was immediately told that I needed to take my device to a store, and that I would need an appointment. There are no appointments available today (I was chatting in the morning). At my appointment the next day I showed up with my phone. The Tech immediately told me that he “isn’t trained on Pixel phones,” and “can’t do much with them. I really just do iPhone.” I noticed that the sign said Techs are trained on Apple and Samsung devices, and no other brands are mentioned. Still, he looked at my phone, and then did a Google search about the issue. The results were not promising, and we came to the mutual conclusion that I should exchange the phone for a new one. But he couldn’t help with that, I needed to go to Customer Service. I got a similar run-around at Customer Service, who sent me to Mobile Phones. The person there told me that since I bought the phone over two weeks ago, if I return it through Total Tech there will be a fee. Even though the Total Tech sales pitch says “Enjoy an extended 60-day return and exchange window,” the fine print says a phone exchange will be $45. Nope. So Mobile Phones told me to contact Google directly, who should replace the phone for free under warranty. But they didn’t give me a number to call or any other info. There were no customers at the Tech desk, so I went back to ask about a different issue. After all, the sales pitch says, “Get unlimited (free) tech support on all the technology in your home, no matter where you bought it.” Nope. I have a Wif Fi problem with a mesh system I bought at Best Buy. But the Tech didn’t know anything about that, either. He said that I should have their team come out and look at it, since the install people work with that kind of thing. He sent me to Customer Care again to make the appointment. Customer Care started to make the appointment, but then informed me that it was going to cost $130, since they didn’t do the initial install, and Total Tech only gives members a 20% discount!! The fine print is “We’re always ready to help you in store, over the phone and 24/7 online.” Notice that it doesn’t say in-home. I am really disappointed, since I had this specific issue in mind when I decided to buy the Total Care coverage, and it seems they cannot help me at all unless I pay. So that’s three strikes: I did not receive support 24/7; I did not enjoy even a regular exchange period; and I did not receive tech support on the other technology in my home. This is so very bad that I will not be surprised if there is a class-action lawsuit against Best Buy about it. It’s really more than three strikes because the service was convoluted and difficult (really?! Three different counters?), and they did not resolve either issue in any way whatsoever. I paid them my $200… for what? I still have two technological things purchased from them which are not working properly, and no way to remedy things except to try to figure it out for myself.

      Having issues with a new Pixel phone can be difficult. Having had the a similar issue with my pixel phone I would recommend contacting Google directly for troubleshooting. You are able to create a claim for a replacement under the Total Tech plan with a deductible, although it does have a manufacturers warranty that google would be able to help you with.

      Your Total Tech membership does provide a 60 day return period, although connected devices are excluded from this, and returns for opened connected devices do have a $45 restocking fee, but this is waived for a non-working device.
