    Geek squad helps a lot whenever i need talk with them online chat with my pc technical issues and solved issues easily. I love it. Also some items discounts.

    I haven't used my total protection plan. It does give me give me peace of mind, so if something does happen to my computer, earbuds, and television, I have this.

    We purchased the total tech plan and have made good use of it. Best Buy as delivered and wall mounted 2 TVs and installed a smart thermostat. Delivers and installs were quick and nicely done. Nice perks come with totaltech.

    I’m very disappointed with Total Tech: read all the fine print before you buy! I bought the latest Pixel phone 2.5 weeks ago. It started shutting down randomly. Since I have Total Tech coverage, I thought there would be no problem. There IS a problem. I started by trying to chat with a Tech online “Free Geek Squad® support available 24/7/365” Nope. I was immediately told that I needed to take my device to a store, and that I would need an appointment. There are no appointments available today (I was chatting in the morning). At my appointment the next day I showed up with my phone. The Tech immediately told me that he “isn’t trained on Pixel phones,” and “can’t do much with them. I really just do iPhone.” I noticed that the sign said Techs are trained on Apple and Samsung devices, and no other brands are mentioned. Still, he looked at my phone, and then did a Google search about the issue. The results were not promising, and we came to the mutual conclusion that I should exchange the phone for a new one. But he couldn’t help with that, I needed to go to Customer Service. I got a similar run-around at Customer Service, who sent me to Mobile Phones. The person there told me that since I bought the phone over two weeks ago, if I return it through Total Tech there will be a fee. Even though the Total Tech sales pitch says “Enjoy an extended 60-day return and exchange window,” the fine print says a phone exchange will be $45. Nope. So Mobile Phones told me to contact Google directly, who should replace the phone for free under warranty. But they didn’t give me a number to call or any other info. There were no customers at the Tech desk, so I went back to ask about a different issue. After all, the sales pitch says, “Get unlimited (free) tech support on all the technology in your home, no matter where you bought it.” Nope. I have a Wif Fi problem with a mesh system I bought at Best Buy. But the Tech didn’t know anything about that, either. He said that I should have their team come out and look at it, since the install people work with that kind of thing. He sent me to Customer Care again to make the appointment. Customer Care started to make the appointment, but then informed me that it was going to cost $130, since they didn’t do the initial install, and Total Tech only gives members a 20% discount!! The fine print is “We’re always ready to help you in store, over the phone and 24/7 online.” Notice that it doesn’t say in-home. I am really disappointed, since I had this specific issue in mind when I decided to buy the Total Care coverage, and it seems they cannot help me at all unless I pay. So that’s three strikes: I did not receive support 24/7; I did not enjoy even a regular exchange period; and I did not receive tech support on the other technology in my home. This is so very bad that I will not be surprised if there is a class-action lawsuit against Best Buy about it. It’s really more than three strikes because the service was convoluted and difficult (really?! Three different counters?), and they did not resolve either issue in any way whatsoever. I paid them my $200… for what? I still have two technological things purchased from them which are not working properly, and no way to remedy things except to try to figure it out for myself.

      Having issues with a new Pixel phone can be difficult. Having had the a similar issue with my pixel phone I would recommend contacting Google directly for troubleshooting. You are able to create a claim for a replacement under the Total Tech plan with a deductible, although it does have a manufacturers warranty that google would be able to help you with.

      Your Total Tech membership does provide a 60 day return period, although connected devices are excluded from this, and returns for opened connected devices do have a $45 restocking fee, but this is waived for a non-working device.     Absolutely worth spending the extra money for this membership. Since then I bought a lot of the plans and I got free installation and delivery which is very sweet getting everything installed by professionals for free.

    The Geek Squad repairs are very useful to have! The scheduling is quick, and their delivery of parts is also very speedy. I had them come out to fix my washing machine.

    Honestly, don’t waste your money. They sent me an open box item that wasn’t factory reset and then didn’t do anything to make their mistake better. Rather, they tried to get me to buy another one for $100 more than I had originally paid. The service takes forever and they do not help.

    I am happy to have the membership but my last experience with the Boulder Geek Squad was terrible. The original technician was not experienced, told me to buy the wrong new battery for my laptop. I dropped it off the next day but nobody contacted me when they realized it was the wrong one. The manager gave me the correct information and I dropped of a new battery and was promised I would be notified when it was ready. Again, no communication and no way to contact them. The whole process took 4x longer than promised. Very disappointing service.
