    Slow Turn Around Time for Elite Members

    Great value, great service. Slow turn around times can be frustrating for repeat customers. There should be an Elite Members priority protocol in place to service these customers as a priority and hence quicker. We spend enough money in a year to earn the Elite Member status---we should get service perks to match.

    I generally like the benefits of Total Tech membership, however the third party on-line support jumps to complicated fixes rather than trying simple ones first. For a recent problem, the first level agent transferred me to a second level agent to perform many updates to my laptop. I couldn't wait, so I turned off my laptop before any were started. When I turned it back on the problem was no longer there even-though the agents had done nothing. I later received an email stating they had: "Today I performed a Computer Tune Up on your device. I removed any unneeded or unwanted programs per your request. I performed all system updates and ensured you had the latest version of Adobe Reader, and Java. I ran various tweaks to help ensure the device is running efficiently. I also ensured your device is protected by updating your web root." A secondary concern is they would have required access to my laptop for up to 2 hours to perform these tasks.

      We appreciate the feedback and I can see how a possibly automated response makes it seem like more was done then was actually completed. Many assessments and recommendations occur during a conversation and many possible fixes may be presented without having first hand knowledge on the exact problem.     I have 3 laptops and two desktop PC's, all covered by totaltech. In 2021 I needed help with a each of those machines. It is so nice to be able to make an appointment and get things looked at right then and there. In the cases where I left a machine there (I use the Lake Geneva Store exclusively), the problem was fixed in 2 or 3 days max. The people are very knowledgeable, friendly and they understand what I need and how important my time is.

    Anyone who shops at Best Buy should get TotalTech. The annual fee more than pays for itself. I recently had a team come to my home to check out my theatre system. They diagnosed it to be a cable box issue as well as a receiver issue. The receiver was covered via warranty and the cable company did their job. But because the receiver was sent out for repair, my call-out fee was refunded. This service and the Geek Squad continue to amaze me.

    Worth every cent! Having a live contact for questions is priceless! They fixed my I phone issues at the store . Our in home consultant did a fantastic job assisting us purchase and set up our totally new computer system, EIFI, speakers, etc. plus comprehensive instructions. TotalTech with Geek Squad is a great service, resource, warranty and peace of mind. Customer service is a priority!
