Super overrated and overpriced. Streaks constantly and frustratingly sensitive as far as filling water tank to turn on when I really only want to vacuum. I regret buying this

The Bissell Crosswave X7 is, so far, the most impressive floor cleaner available. Pets are great, but cleaning up after them is a daily task. I typically would first vacuum, then steam mop and get decent, sometimes mixed results. For area rugs, I would pull out the huge, corded Doctor and then have to get into the crevices trying to clean the unit before storing it. I'm happy to say the X7 covers the jobs of all 3 units and gives better results, not to mention it's cordless. It did a great job in Hard Floor mode on my polished white marble tile in the kitchen and the grout came out really clean (never happened before). I spot cleaned a heavily trafficked strip on a low pile area rug on Area Rug setting and it looks a few shades cleaner. I got about 28 minutes of cleaning from the battery which included the higher rug setting. I think you could up that number by 5 minutes or so if just on standard hard floor mode. Cleaning was easier than I expected, mainly due to the ease of access of all the parts. The dirty water tank has a particle filter that separates debris from the liquid so it's easier to dispose of. The charging pedestal is compact enough to hold the unit in place and has a spot for the brush roll to dry. I drained the battery too far and needed to wait 10 minutes before I pressed the clean cycle button on the front. It conveniently lit up blue when ready. The solution in the clean water tank was above the clean line so there was enough to run the 40 second clean cycle. You could visibly see the brush-roll getting whiter as it spun at turbo speed, a great idea. There really aren't any issues with it except that the vacuum doesn't doesn't suck up all the water it puts down leaving the floor a little wet. It's a really well thought out cleaning tool that belongs in anyone's arsenal, pets or not.

This is a fantastic multi-floor swiss army knife of a vacuum. My only gripe is the battery life. I really wish there was a replaceable battery, faster charge or worst case a wall plug. I keep coming up about 10 feet short of cleaning everything I wanted to when the battery balks at me that it is time to recharge. Other than that, this bad boy does a number on stains, paw prints on hard surfaces, and general every day cleaning. I am more than impressed with the suction and how little dampness is left behind when hitting a area rug or any rug for that matter. The scrubbing action is great for picking up stepped on mud, food, whatever and getting the floor really clean without needing to vacuum and mop and scrub. This is one tool that gets the hardwood, tile and carpet clean...if I only had 15 more minutes of battery! Very happy with this puppy. Looking forward to version 2 with more power!

My floor and rugs looked awesome when I was all done, but it wasn’t until a short time later that I noticed a couple of things I didn’t like so much. The cleaning solution combined with the scrubbing action of the brush roll actually made my floors pretty slippery, like they were coated with something. My kiddo even slipped on the floor once that afternoon due to the new feeling on the floor. I think I’ll use half of the recommended cleaning solution going forward instead of the full amount to see if that helps. Cleaning the machine wasn’t hard at all, but it takes the same effort needed when using a carpet shampooer (cleaning the brush roll, rinsing the clean water tank, cleaning out the dirty water tank, and wiping out all of the areas with debris stuck to it, then letting it all dry). Clean-up is a little bit of a process that everyone considering this machine will experience when using the wet vac part of this product. I do really like the docking/charging station. I love how securely the sweeper fits on the charger, and the included storage area for the brush roll is great. I also think the cleaning solution smells really fresh without being too overpowering, which I appreciate. The suction was also better than I expected, as it got nearly every crumb in the corners and hard areas that I normally have trouble reaching with just a sweeper. One other thing worth mentioning is that the machine is on the louder side, so I popped in some earbuds and listened to some content while I was cleaning, which lessened the noise.

best multi surface cleaner I've used

And I've used a few of them! First impressions: This thing looks and feels expensive. Excellent built quality and it just looks....sleek and fancy. The dark gray, black and copper colors look great. Thats not really what matters though, but it sure does help. Setup: Easy. Click the handle into the body, plug in the base, set the unit on top of the base, and you are done. Let it charge for a wee bit and you're good to go. Use: This unit has 3 modes: bare floor, carpet and turbo pet mode. There are two buttons: power and mode select. Press power, it defaults to bare surface, and tilt the handle back to start the brush. Easy peasy. My house is all hard surface except for some area rugs, so this unit works great. I can clean around 1500 square feet of wood, and a few small area rugs, and have 1/3 of the battery left and use exactly 1 tank of water/cleaning solution. You use this as you would a traditional carpet cleaner: squeeze the trigger as you push, let go and pull back to dry. I don't need to do a second drying pass as it does a very nice job on the first pass. Cleanup: These units are always a pain to clean, and Bissell has made this one as easy as possible. I've had an older corded Bissell unit that does basically what this one does, and I hated cleaning it. This one, however, has a very nice self cleaning mode that takes the majority out of it. When you are done cleaning, set the unit on its base and push the self clean button. It uses water and spins the brush to clean the brush head and the area that touches the floor. It gets basically everything, and all you need to do is tilt the front brush cover up to let it dry. The dirty water tank has a nifty little hair filter with a handle that you simply pull up to strain all the hair and dump that in the trash, then just pour the dirty water down the drain. Overall: I love this unit. Looks great, works great and is as easy to clean as anything like this could be. I love that is battery powered as well, no more dragging a cord around.

This is the most amazing floor cleaner for anyone with pets and children. What an awesome time saver this is. I'm completely in love. Now, I vacuum with this instead of sweeping and mopping. It cleans up pet and kid messes very nicely. Puppy had accident and I crossed my fingers that this would work and it did so well. No left behind odors. Accidents in wood floor and in rug cleaned up perfectly, quickly and no lasting effect. I was skeptical it would clean up a big mess of milk and cereal that spilled, it seemed to good to be true. But it worked perfectly, I went over it twice and it cleaned up the milk too. We use it on our wood floors, rug and also bathroom tile floor with grout. It did nicely on all the floors. But it surprised me how well it did in on bathroom tile and grout floor. I've done several spot cleaning and also weekly floor cleaning with this. The battery works for about 30 minutes so I usually do the downstairs floors, charge it and do dishes, dust, organize then it's time to vaccuum upstairs. The suction works great. There is a turbo speed when you need that extra. It's easy to maneuver around. The base conveniently charges vacuum and holds the extra mop part and solution. The cleaning part seemed little complicated when first reading directions but it is actually pretty simple once you do it a couple times but it does take few extra minutes. The self cleaning mop part is amazing!! Also, it referred to the Bissell website for videos and this videos are awesome and very helpful. No regrets here!

I love to see the advancement in technology over the years. The steps and time that this machine reduces is marvelous. It comes with 2 brushes, 2 cleaning fluids, charging station and adapter. In the box it was only in two pieces. I just had to plug the handle into the vac and that was it. The clean water tank has two level lines. One for water and the other for cleaning fluid. You charge it for 4 hours first while sitting in the charging station and it has about 30 minutes of run time. It has 3 modes. Hardwood floors, carpet and a Turbo mode. It also lights up the floor with led lights. After filling the tank you pull the trigger for about 10 seconds to get the brush wet. When you let go of the trigger it will stop spraying water and suck it up so it will dry faster. The dirty bin has three sections. The filter which protects the motor, filter to catch debris and main section to hold dirty water. It even has a self cleaning mode for the brush that only takes 20 seconds. Push the button and it will do a pretty good job of flushing the roller with clean water. The brush is easy to remove with just a button and a pull of a tab. After disassembling the brush and dirty bin you are supposed to leave them out to dry before putting it back together. It will also indicate when the clean water is empty and the dirty bin is full. The good: Cordless Light Not as loud as a vacuum but still a little noise Parts are easy to clean and disassemble Faster cleanup than traditional style Has good suction and leaves floor with minimum water to dry fast Pulled pet hair easily off rug that was embedded The bad: Left streaks on floor and when it ran across carpet it left a stain from the dirty floor that I just cleaned. Only took a couple of swipes to get it out but waiting for it to dry to see if it is clean. Cleaning out the container is easy but messy because everything is wet. Some of the pet hair was dry but some was wet. Still an excellent machine to purchase to do daily cleaning after pets.

Increasingly there are devices that help us solve everyday problems and it seems to me that this is one of those products. The assembly is very simple and comes with a charging base where after use can be placed again to continue having the vacuum cleaner with charge, the battery can last up to 30 minutes, in practice could be less, this vacuum cleaner in addition to vacuuming can clean floors and rugs too, if you have full carpet at home this is not the right product, however if you have hard floors or stairs can be a great option and more if you have pets at home. The above is something that could be important for people who have pets, they will find a great ally in this vacuum cleaner, the performance is somewhat remarkable, however sometimes it seems necessary a little more power but at least for me it does its job properly. The design is quite attractive, I like the color besides not being heavy and is made of materials that seem to be resistant, if necessary it has light for places where it is not illuminated with good detail. With the vacuum cleaner you also get an extra roll and a couple of bottles of liquid that will help you clean, it also has the self-cleaning function which I find very convenient, but the part of drying the washed parts of the vacuum cleaner after having used it is something that may take a little more time, it is a good point to consider. In my opinion, having the ability to vacuum and wash the floor is something that can certainly save us some time, with this vacuum cleaner you can get a good result in not very large spaces but in which you have pets, I can certainly recommend it.
