This carpet cleaner cleans well. The dispensing tank though doesn't hold enough water/cleaner. For larger rooms, you have to continuously have to refill the reservoir. Other than that, it cleans really well!

I have two partially housebroken small dogs and have struggled to get pet urine odors out of my rugs. As frequently as they have accidents, professional cleaning was not a practical solution. I am so glad I discovered this product! It assembles in minutes and is extremely easy to use. Within an hour of bringing this tool home, I had effectively removed the stale pet odor from my home. I couldn't be more pleased! I only wish I had known about this product and bought it sooner!

Immediately impressed with the deep cleaning. Started in a no traffic area thinking there would not be much dirt, this machine pulled up hair and dirt I didn't realize was there. Brought new life to the carpet and eliminated the dog odor.

Recently my wife and I had bought a puppy. 7 months later he is still not potty trained and we have become nose blind to the horrible urine smell throughout the house. We had a family dinner planned at our house a few weeks ago, as soon as everyone came in they started gagging and remarking how terribly smelling it was. We all ended up going out to eat instead. This was a hugely disappointing to us.We decided to buy this one because of the portable spot cleaner. We used the machine with Bissells 2X PET URINE ELIMINATOR carpet solution. (Best Buy does not sell) After one clean of the carpets with this cleaner and the urine eliminator mix our carpets smelled brand new! We called my mother in law over to to check how it smelled (Unknowing that we had gotten the carpet cleaner). She came in and was amazed of how we had gotten rid of 7 months of accident stains and odors. Oh and we probably will be getting the deposit back from the company we rent from!

I have 3 dogs that live in my home and we are extremely clean people. We shampoo our living room at least once a week, every week. We purchased this steam cleaner in February and it worked great for 2 months. Just after the 90 day return policy at best buy was up it, it broke. The machine stopped spraying water. Due to the fact that I had owned 3 Bisse'ls prior to this one I decided that I didn't need the insurance this time because it had been a waste of money on my previous 3 machines. This was a huge mistake on my part. So I was at the mercy of Bissel's manufacturer's warranty to get me running again. Spent an hour on the phone troubleshooting before the recommended me to a repair center. I took it to the repair center (1 hour round trip) the next day and didn't see my cleaner for 2 weeks. I picked up the steam cleaner (1 hour round trip) and took it home. Once I got home I discovered that it was still doing the same thing. Took it back to the repair center (1 hour round trip) and they Bissel decided to replace it. One week later I picked up a brand new one from the store (1 hour round trip). We took it home and used it once. Worked perfectly. Plugged it in a week later and it wouldn't spray just like its predecessor. I just took it back to the repair shop this week (1 hour round trip). I'm expecting to be steam cleaner free for at least another month before I get another one. I seriously doubt that the 3rd time will be a charm. Bottom line... I wouldn't recommend this machine to anyone. Two in a row broke within a month. Pick another model. By the time this is all said and done I will have spent 6 hours driving and 2 hours on the phone with support. With the amount of money I make; I could have made enough money to purchased 4 more machines if I had that time back. I am extremely disappointed in the product and Bissel's support procedures. They have lost me as a customer.

I dry vacuumed first using my old reliable vacuum cleaner. Then I tried the new Bissell. Pet hair clogged it and no water was vacuumed up. I took it apart to clean it but I don't want to go through that again. I'm getting a new highly rated vacuum cleaner for the pet hair in hopes that the Bissell will now work.

The carpet cleaner does not suck up the water very good. The first run appeared to pick up some of the water but the carpet was still soaking wet. I went over the sections at least 10 times (honestly) and the carpet was still so wet that I could put a towel on it and the water would soak through. I thought maybe I was spraying too much water and tried using less but that didn’t help. It also leaked from the bottom when I had it off while emptying or filling the tanks. I looked at trouble shooting suggestions and tried everything.

This is for you. Have to empty & refill too often.

I was very disappointed with this purchase. The handle would not attach securely so after several failed attempts, I called the help line number on the box. The rep only wanted to read the directions to me over and over. I know how to use a screwdriver so that was no help. She then told me me to lie it flat and put pressure on it. Since it has a curved handle, I'm sure it would have broken. The holes just didn't line up and it would never be stable. Also, It felt very light and flimsy, especially the wheels. I returned it to Best Buy for a full refund.

I purchased this unit on July 27th and used it twice. I went to use it again this past weekend (9/17) and the machine would not work. Called Bissell and was told I had to take the machine in for service by an authorized repair shop under warranty. Found out today the pump motor is broke... not sure how a pump motor can break after two uses.. my house is not even 100% carpeted I am very nervous about this machine lasting for years.

I would want my money back. It leaves the carpet really wet. No suction also it still left the stains. I would not recomend this product.

purchased about year ago. Worked once and quit. Returned it worked once or twice and now is not working again. I suggest anyone thinking of purchasing this machine steer clear of this one.
