It does an OK job with light messes. My kids spilled something sticky on the tile floor in the kitchen and I swept first to get all the dirt cleaned up. I then proceeded to use this on the high steam setting and after the floor was dry I still had a sticky residue on the floor. I then steamed it a second time the next day and the residue was still not completely gone.

I'm still waiting for a company to come out with a steam mop that lasts. I tried at least 4 different type. I like the scent disc that comes with it to make the air fresh. Only one cloth. The way to remove the head to get to the brush it not the most convenient.
