I have a dog who sometimes doesn't make it outside, and with carpet...it can get disgusting quick. I was renting machines from the grocery store every few weeks and the cost was adding up. This works 1000x better and is saving me a ton. I'm still not sure if it heats the water or not, so I just make sure I put REALLY hot water in and it seems to do the trick. Honestly, there's no downsides to this machine.
