High End Deep Cleaning Tool!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many of you, I love having carpets but they run into a lot of ware and tear from pets and people! The new Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam came into to help fix this, and I am very impressed! PROS: - Right out of the box I was impressed with this! It is really nice, heavy duty, and was very easy to assemble. Pretty much from there you are ready to go! - The vacuum itself does a fantastic job once you get it going! It has a lot of power to it, and it heats the water for you so you do not have to use hot water yourself. That really creates a deep cleaning effect and I was shocked at all the dirt I got out even though I vacuum all the time! - Specifically, we have pets and I thought this did a great job getting out deep stains and just overall taking out the hair and any smell. Just created a brand new house feeling! - Emptying was also really easy with the new compartments it is in. Very straight forward and not messy! CONS: - Really nothing, this is a great deep cleaning tool! BOTTOM LINE: - Having an easy way to clean carpets at home for that deep clean feeling is a really great thing to have, and this Bissell does not disappoint! It has some great technology to really deliver great results and is super easy to use. I think this is going to be one of your favorite buys!

Awesome carpet cleaner for tough stains
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are finally fortunate to have found a carpet cleaner that does its job, the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam. It has been performing better than we had expected as we’ve already cleaned areas with some serious tough stains, a by-product of frequently hosting acquaintances with pets and kids, plus of course “us” adults spilling drinks or food on the rugs and carpets around the house. We have been doing a first cleaning pass on the toughest areas, which already makes the whole rug look great; however, the plan is to do a second pass but going through all the areas (a complete carpet cleaning). The latter is going to be a little work as we’d need to use several tanks of cleaning mix (well not a big deal given the results.) Bottom line, we highly recommend this device. - Pros: powerful, deep-cleaning, upholstery attachments. - Cons: disposing of wasted water is somewhat messy. >> Assembly << Don’t be like me, read or review the poster that is attached to the handle at the very least before putting all the pieces together. Being the way I am, I didn’t read that booklet or any other manual and proceeded directly to attach the handle to the water tank section, not yet attached to the main body, resulting in not being able to attach the handle with the water tank section to the main body. The booklet instructions stated to position the water tank section to the main body first and next to assemble the handle through the water tank section and onto the main body. It took me some time to realize that to release the handle from the water tank section, I had to use a long stick to press in a hole in the middle, then I was able to follow the instructions on the booklet and placed the handle properly to the main body of the carpet cleaner. >> First use << We decided to try the Bissel Revolution HydroSteam on an area with a nasty stain (some pets plus some failed formulas that did more damage than good). We used the Clean+Natural sample formula that came in the package, not the Pet Urine one since there was not really any urine odor in that area anymore. We followed by cleaning setting the SteamWash Mode. The results were astonishing, see attached pictures. After cleaning the area, late in the afternoon, by next day, it was dry, about 12 hrs. It is evident that the drying time will depend on the ventilation and how hot and humid the house is. Where we live it was about 70F during the day and around 60F at night with some degree of humidity when we did this first trial (early June.) The only cumbersome part was removing the waste water and getting rid of the dirty water. Not very easy to open the dirty water container. This is a minor inconvenience at the end of the day. >> Cleaning formula << Each of the 8oz sample cleaning formulas that come in the package seems to be ok for 2 full tanks, well I’ve used one of them in 4 half tanks. For heavy dirty areas a half tank would cover around 4/5 sq. ft. This is more or less following the directions on how much of the formula to use per water volume (half or full tank). I guess it also depends how comfortable you feel about using more or less of the cleaning formula. So far, I’ve been just following the directions but plan on doing some experimentation to use less of it. >> Cleaning modes << This machine comes with three cleaning “modes”, Quick Dry Mode, SteamWash Max Clean Mode, and Steam Pretreat Mode. Although the “Default” SteamWash mode is what you’d need for most jobs, we were able to get rid of the toughest stains on our carpets using the two-stage approach: Steam Pretreat Mode followed by the SteamWash Max mode. We showed the results to friends, and they were also impressed by the Bissell carpet cleaner. It’s been a while since I was very excited for a product. Together with my wife, we agree that this as a great tool to have, and specially a must-have if there are kids and pets around, and well even if you don’t have but receive frequent visitors, this machine will keep your carpets/rugs looking and smelling nice. Nevertheless, there are always going to be some stains that will need a couple of passes, especially if they’ve been there for a while. We had a few that had been sitting there for a while (well, ones that we unsuccessfully tried to get rid of) and this machine did a good job on them removing all in two passes. >> Doing a second pass with only water << Just to see how this device performed (or how badly dirty my carpet was), I poured water in the tank and then did a second pass to an already cleaned section, and there was indeed more dirt left. Well, this was an area that didn’t have any cleaning done in a couple of years, and which also contained some stains left by pets. The second part of this experiment was to determine if the second pass would get rid of most of the smell of the formula. It did so to some degree. Of course, the formula is intended to make the carpet smell like new, but I am a little sensitive to smells, so the second pass did a great job diminishing the smell. I am not sure this water “only” pass is recommended, but it got rid of more dirt and some of the smell. >> After cleaning << It is a good idea that after every use, and even in the middle of cleaning tough areas, to clean the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam carpet cleaner itself, as it will contain some degree of debris. This is very easy to do, just need to open the front cover (the clear top section of the bottom part where the rollers are) and then manually take the threads/pet-hair/human-hair and other debris that most likely will be found. One way I realized that I had to open and clean the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam was when some sort of dirt matter started to accumulate on the sides of the Bissell carpet cleaner when running through some very dirty areas (well it became evident how dirty bad those areas were.)

Fantastic, Cleans Well, Easy to Use but Heavy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The main machine is great and cleans the rugs very well. It takes a few passes and patience. I cleaned a white & grey silky shag that had built in dirt and was matting; a 1-year old, installed light-colored luxury carpet from Kane; and 2 medium sized, colorful area rugs. (I also ran it over my hard tile floors out of curiosity). The rugs came out well and so it achieved my goals. The biggest disappointment was the stair tool - it didn't really have hte suction, and the machine is just so big & heavy to sit on the stairs when trying to clean, so that didn't work. I tried using the machine itself on the stairs and needed a lot of strength, coordination so it wouldn't go back upright & turn off, and effort, and only got the middle of the stairs given its size, so I wouldn't rely on that but it was better than nothing. The machine is good at the amount of water it disburses & has great rolling & suction to really clean. It pulled up a lot of dirt even after vacuuming at least 2x a week with my dyson. I had to stop frequently to pull off the fur and debris, but that's because of my house, not the machine. The house smelled very clean, like a deep clean, after, but unfortunately that only lasted a week. Finally - this is important - I orderd htis same machine from Amazon and within 2 minutes I smelt burning and then the belt fried up and snapped. I boxed it up and returned it to Amazon. I then purchased it from Best Buy who delivered it that same day, and it worked beautifully. The packaging was different, Amazon's in a brown box (though clean & wrapped), and Best Buy's in the manufactuer's box. I don't know if the same defect will happen to this one eventually but I used the one from Best Buy for several hours and got a super clean home.

A Must Have for Pet Owners
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband, our Beagle, and I moved into our first home in February of this year (2023). All of the carpet was replaced with a beige traditional cut-pile plush carpet before we moved in. Over the last four months, we have been diligent about vacuuming at least once weekly and I have generally felt that we were doing a good job of keeping the carpet clean. The Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam, fortunately or un, proved otherwise. I used the deep cleaner the day it arrived in the most high traffic areas of our home. I was simultaneously satisfied and disgusted by the amount of dirt and hair that this thing collected. I can’t wait to pick up more formula and clean the rest of the house. Here’s my takeaways with this machine after the first few uses: - It’s easy to assemble. You simply need to attach the water tanks and handle and you’re good to go. - It’s effective. As I mentioned above, the Bissell Revolution does its job very well. The two powerbrushes will knock every bit of debris and hair out of your carpets. The suction is powerful enough to draw that debris, hair, and dirty water up so no major puddles are left behind. Of course the carpet will remain damp to the touch until it has enough time to completely dry. I personally found the Max Clean Mode to be the most effective cleaning setting as it dispenses an adequate amount of cleaning solution. Quick Dry Mode seems to restrict the amount of solution dispensed. The only real negative I’ve found with this cleaner is that the steam setting is a bit of a gimmick. I don’t feel like it functions the way I had envisioned. - It’s versatile. The Bissell Revolution works well on large carpeted areas, stairs, furniture, and even cloth car seats. The included tools do an excellent job of spraying formula, scrubbing, and drawing up dirt. I love that the plastic on the front of both tools is clear so you can watch the dirty water being drawn up in real time. Talk about satisfying! - It’s easy to clean and store. All you really need to do is dump your dirty water, rinse the holding tanks and tools you used, then set aside to dry until next time. The clear plastic powerbrush cover removes easily for rinsing and to remove any hair or other tangled debris. The included storage bag makes it easy to stash the included tool extension and tools. While my experience with carpet cleaners is limited, I’ve been really happy with the Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam thus far. If you love your pets and/or children, but also want to maintain a clean home, this is going to do a much better job than your vacuum alone.

Nothing left behind from your pets behind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initial impression of the Bissell Revolution is that it is a very good carpet scrubber and the steam seems to help the cleaning process. It's also nice to get the multiple accessories to clean up smaller areas and stains. Machine has a nice long cord. Also a big plus is how easy everything comes apart to clean and get dry. The short comings for me is the lack of steam for the hose implements. Small hole to fill it with water, lot of homes have spray heads and not aerators. And suction to retrieve the solution sprayed is not as good as it should be. It will take several passes for older carpet to get some of the liquid sucked up . And forget bare floor use. Read on for more indepth. While at first I wasn't sure the machine was all that great at sucking up the liquid it put down. But after a day and half. My carpets were all dry and I really looked at my carpet. It felt better to walk on, smelled great, and maybe even looked better. Overall when you catch your dogs scooting on the carpet and that carpet no longer has tight twists like when new. You have to do more than just vacuuming. This machine did a better job "deep cleaning" in ways, my tried and true machine let me down. First off. This Bissell Revolution actually does make steam. Like an iron, it can spray steam, but it does not make the tank water any hotter. Sadly, steam only works from the machines main floor nozzle, and not to the hose accessories. Although, with the steam and dual rotating brush heads the accessories are not the selling point. What sold me. I was finally able to revive compacted carpet from where people sit and walking paths. It won't help failed/flat under carpet padding, and my carpet will never look new again. Yet, this machine did what my previous favorite spin brush machine couldn't do. It made the carpets fluffier, softer and seemingly cleaner. I did not have any stains to know if it removed spots from carpet. Just day to day traffic. The brush heads and steam might be the best part of the machine and is the biggest reason to try the Bissell Revolution. The less than perfect suction was a bit disappointing for me. It might be good enough if you make quicker passes for a surface clean. But I really let the brushes and solution get in there and ran it till the liquid being pulled up was coming out clearer. And this and old carpet might be more why I had a longer drying time than I anticipated. And another let down. It barely sucks all the liquid off bare floors. Scrubs them great, but the nozzle is just not close enough to the floor to suck up all the liquid it can put down. But, Bissell never claimed this could do bare floor cleaning either. I doubt the hose attachments will be my go to since suction seemed lower than my older carpet cleaner. And I would also warn those buying online. This machine as shipped is sorta heavy and the FedEx guy clearly dropped it. Box was torn. And the plastic fenders over the wheels had plastic broken off. Not enough to return, but it's just sad how delivery is fast, but risky for fragile items. Buy this machine because Bissell makes good reliable machines and get the Revolution because it scrubs carpets and revives carpet.

Great Cleaner in the Bissell lineup
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I've had the cleaner for over a week and have used it twice. It is on the loud side though no louder than any other carpet cleaner I've used in the past. The accessory's are a great addition even without the steam they clean spots on couches and other furniture with no problem. The steam does a tremendous job getting stains out of carpet and making it look nearly new again. The twin roller got up dog hair that even vacuuming didn't get which makes this thing almost as good for vacuuming as it is for carpet cleaning. I read reviews about leaks and weight being issues. To address both of those it is on the heavy side when the water tank is full right before you clean as its on the upside of the handle. The only leak I've seen isn't really a leak but rather leftover water that didn't make it to the disposal tank before i turned it off. Neither of these issues compare to the cleaning power of the unit in my opinion. Overall it was a great purchase and I hope to get years out of it.

True steam cleaner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very impressed with this model. It is an outstanding enhancement to the Bissel carpet cleaners. Firstly, it was really easy to assemble in a few seconds with no tools, very lightweight, and user friendly. Super effective in removing dirt and stains and truly a steam cleaner. Works better than any machine I have ever owned.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot say enough great things about the Hydrosteam! Yes, it does weigh more than most carpet cleaners, but the performance is worth it. I bought it due to my child being sick and having an accident that went from her bed, thru her room, down the hallway, and into the bathroom. I was quite skeptical as to how this would turn out, but I had nothing to lose. Not only did it clean up the mess with ease, we went ahead and cleaned the rest of the carpet in those areas because the clean color difference was insane! For giggles I tried it out on an oil stain in our living room that had been there for over 15 years. It removed it completely! I then had to clean my entire living room. So really the only bad thing I can say is… Don’t buy this product if you don’t want to clean entire rooms, because this cleaner goes above and beyond!

These keep getting better through the years
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used several of these carpet cleaners through the years and they continue to get better and better. This Bissell is great because the steam does make a difference, and the cover over the brushes can be removed which enhances performance over time since you can keep it clean. Assembly is easy, takes a minute or two with no screws required. The top tank is for the water and solution, bottom is the wastewater tank. After pressing the power button and it is running you press the other button to select between steam, max clean and a lighter clean using less water they call the quick dry mode. The steam only took about 15-20 seconds to be ready. Squeezing the trigger you can hear and see the steam coming out, and it works very well. I was able to get a few stubborn stains out thanks to the steam. After steaming the small stain areas, I cleaned my small bedroom with the steam/clean mode and it worked very well. The dirty tank was filled with dark brown water, despite the clean looking appearance of the carpet. Impressive how much dirt was removed. I also cleaned the rug in my living room my dog likes to lay on. After I vacuumed with my dry vacuum and it appeared clean, I took this Bissell cleaner to it I was able to get an unbelievable amount of dirt out. I like to do a second run with water only to get as much soap out of the carpet as I can. What I appreciated about this cleaner is how simple it is to remove the cover over the brushes to clean off the dirty and hair residue left behind. Even a thorough dry vacuuming beforehand, there is going to be some hair left behind so it's great to be able to clean it out easily. There is an attachment with two cleaning tools which is great for stairs and furniture or small areas of bad spills on the carpet. Downsides: all of the carpet cleaners "leak" a little bit when you're done using them. This one is no exception. You turn off the machine and inevitably some water drips on the area underneath. I try to use up all the fluid in the machine before I turn it off to try to minimize excess water. I also roll it on a towel when I'm taking a break or refilling the water tank. It feels like it's just runoff of excess water that gathered underneath while cleaning, but something to be aware of. Overall this is a great machine.

Works great!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is costly and heavy-duty, that is for sure! However, since purchasing just 2 days ago. I have already used it a good 6 or 7 times. I have a 3-year-old mini bernedoodle and an 8-week-old cavapoo. We have carpet and this works great! I even used it in my little one's play pen. The only thing I wish was different was the upholstery attachment. I honestly thought it would steam my couch as well and it was really just a few jets of water. So, that attachment doesn't steam. There was a second attachment, but I do not think it was a steamer either. Overall, it is pretty heavy but it works great on carpet, rugs, playpen bottoms and I even used it on my hardwood.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this rug cleaner. It managed to get up pet stains that we had for years that spot cleaning would not. The steam feature is a delight. Sure helped to lift those stains and much much more. It is a little on the spendy side, but if you plan on cleaning your rugs every 6 months, I would suggest you make the investment. It is worth it.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this shampooer! I was initially on the fence due to price but, it absolutely delivers. Highly recommended if you have paw babies or small children. I have OCD & cream color carpet. My carpet stays clean, I thought. I couldnt believe how much dirt the machine picked up after one use. This steam washer literally cleaned the carpet 10xs better, looks like I have new carpet.

Not as practical as I imagined
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was surprisingly underwhelmed. Struggled on low pile carpet, suction is average to mediocre, and the steam wasn’t as useful as we had imagined. I think in my head I pictured it just blasting my carpet with the power of steam, but it’s really just a little puff that, when combined with the tank solution (in its max clean mode) ends up being warm but not scalding the way steam should be. In practice, you need to go over a small spot multiple times with just steam, then again with the other mode - tedious. We compared directly to the Shark Carpet Xpert Pet pro, and the Shark was infinitely better in practice, which really surprised us.

Absolutely love this Carpet Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The "out of the box" experience was outstanding. From opening the box to starting my first cleaning job downstairs in our home was literally less than five minutes. Two pieces install to the base of the unit, and you're ready to go. One of the key features that I really like about this product is its steam mode (Bissell terms is "HydroSteam(tm) Technology"). I have not yet used that mode, but absolutely will be using it soon. I really want a good, deep cleaning of our carpet. The product comes with two starter (8 ounce) bottles of Clean + Natural formula and Pet Pro Oxy Urine Eliminator formula. We have three miniature long-haired dachshunds, our fur babies, so I started with the Pet Pro Oxy Urine Eliminator formula for the first cleaning. The product is not overly heavy, but not light, either, but it moves easily on our carpet. There is a trigger for dispensing the cleaning solution on the handle loop where your index finger naturally goes, so the ergonomics work well. It is no louder than an upright vacuum cleaner, so it's relatively easy on the ears. In addition to cleaning carpets, the product comes with 3" and 6" attachments for upholstery and stairs, as well as an 8' hose for using the attachments. I'm not sure I'll ever use them, but we have them if they're needed. As the title suggests, I'm extremely happy with the product, and can recommend it based on my experience thus far.

Absolutely amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! I upgraded to this model this morning after returning a pet pro model that had broken. I thought that one was good (until it broke). But this one did 100 X better job and now I know this machine is so worth the extra money! I did add oxy clean to the solution because someone on the internet mentioned it. I don’t know if that made the difference or it was the machine, either way my carpet looks new again. I wish I had take en before and after pictures now. I just cleaned my carpet last month with the pet apro model and thought it was clean. I have 3 dogs so I vacuum almost every day and I have a room a S9 that runs when I leave the house, but after cleaning today the water came out looking like McDonald’s Coffee and I can’t believe the amount of dog hair even after I vacuumed earlier this morning with a Dyson V15. I am absolutely loving this machine! Please get it while it’s on sale and thank me later.

Good product!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are many things I enjoy about this deep cleaner! The cord is rather long so I found it pretty easy to maneuver through large spaces like my living room and bedrooms without having to unplug and plug excessively. The cover for the brushes on the front can be easily removed so it makes removing long hair and cleaning the bristles way easier. It comes with a handheld extension that comes in handy for couch stains and other hard-to-reach areas. The tube that attaches to the handheld extension is also a substantial length which is greatly appreciated. It also came with two sample cleaning formulas that worked well! One is specifically for urine and the other is a biobased general cleaner. That being said, I am not a fan of how much water is used when trying to clean. It felt like I had to refill too frequently for my liking. It also left the carpet a bit too damp. In an active home, this was frustrating but I suppose the carpet is going to be wet regardless of whatever cleaner you use. Overall, if you find yourself constantly picking up messes and in dire need of a carpet cleaner, this one can be useful. However, I would try to get it on sale.
