Common factors affecting picture quality include distance from the Wi-Fi router, lighting conditions in the room, network bandwidth limitations during peak usage, and camera positioning relative to the subject being monitored. Videos and pics are good even in dark situations. Excellent in lighted places. I have purchased many (18 for 3 houses). Highly recommend.
