It has a harder time detecting motion coming straight toward the camrera. Its better if it comes into view from the side. Makes a clicking noise each time it kicks on and off. If you are live viewing remotely and want to continue recording longer, the camera also clicks each time you press continue, which makes it hard to check in on someone at home without it drawing attention to the camera. Overall, a good camera at a decent price, as long as your not trying to be inconspicuous when recording.

Loud Clicking Noise

Other than that good quality video day or night and sound when someone is talking.

We installed this on the fireplace mantle and can check-in on our 95-year-old mother from anywhere we are. Great clarity and sound with the ability to talk to mom. Love it!
