To record on a cloud account you have to set it up using your AMAZON ACCOUNT No one told me this at the store. I found out Amazon makes blink. You can avoid using Amazon but you cant record videos after 30 days. There is a subscription with Amazon. The day I was there they were short on help. The employees are so techie oriented they are not thinking about seniors needing more info. Really nice camera, never set it up. You do need to download an app to your phone. I just found it too complicated. I will try to get another one but now I know the questions to ask.

You're absolutely right - Blink is an Amazon company, and the cloud storage does require an Amazon account and subscription after the initial 30-day trial. We understand this can be frustrating when it isn't clearly communicated upfront.

Easy to install and to setup in your phone or Echo Show 5. I have it at my entrance door and so far it does an excellent job for the price. Follow videos online on how to set it up, after you do it once it became super easy , and this will help you to set up other cameras from the same brand By the way I got this as a combo with the Echo show 5 and the price was reduced.

However, these Blink mini indoor cameras are the best. They always work which is such a conform when accessing them remotely. They are easy to install and have the added benefit of working with Alexa. Because of my satisfaction with this product, I have completely replaced all my original cameras.
