I already own 2 Blink Mini and 2 Blink Outdoor cameras and I really like them, so when the Pan-Tilt mount came out, I knew it would be something I would want to add. I wanted a camera that I could pan and tilt so that I can view the room at all angles when I’m not there. I wanted to set it so that it wasn’t motion activated and would only be viewable on “Live View.” After using this for a week, I think I will get 2 more for the other 2 mini cameras. Blink Mini Camera: The camera quality is good. I keep it set on the “Best” quality video, but there are 2 lower settings (Standard and Saver.) The Blink App is very user friendly and does everything you would want it to do. Activity Zones allow you to block off areas that you don’t want any motion to cause your camera to start recording. For motion-detected recording, you can set the recording time for up to 30 seconds and the retrigger time can be set anywhere between 10 seconds and 60 seconds. You can enable or disable the motion detection on any individual camera and if you set your cameras up in “groups” you can “arm” or “disarm” any group. You can also switch any camera to Live View at any time. In Live View, I recorded for a little over 3 minutes to test and see if the 30 second limit applied to “Live View” and was glad to see it does not. You can also set the camera to end the clip early if motion stops. There is a very slight lag time of about 1 second between when the camera detects motion and when it begins recording. The camera has excellent night vision and you can set the IR intensity to 3 different levels. The camera has audio – both sending and receiving. You can set the audio level you want. To speak through the camera, you hold a button down on the app as you speak. The only thing I would like to see changed is to speed up the retrigger time for motion detection and/or to have the option to keep recording past the 30 seconds if there is still motion being detected. The Pan-Tilt Mount: The mount is easy to set up and the app found the camera immediately and knew that it was on a pan-tilt mount. I set the camera to view both the sound board and the dog crate so that I can check on my dog at night in case of a storm. When we leave the house, I am able to go into the app and pan and tilt to get a full view. There is a 360 degree pan button on the app, which causes the camera to pan first to the right until it is completely turned backward, then it automatically pans all the way to the left until it completely turned backward from that side. Then it automatically returns to the previous view. The view from behind slightly overlaps so you don’t miss anything. In addition to the right and left arrow buttons for panning, and the up and down arrow buttons for tilting, there is a “Home” button that returns the mount to neutral. The only complaint I have is the lag time. If you hold down the arrow to pan, by the time you see the camera starting to move in the app, you’ve held it down long enough so that it continues to pan all the way to the side, even after you removed your finger from the arrow button. The same thing occurs with the tilt arrows. You can press the arrows 1 or more times to get smaller panning increments, but the camera will be jerky. You can also hold down the button for less time and through trial and error, you could learn about how long to hold it to move it the amount you need. I opted for the Blink subscription to be able to save my videos on the cloud, but that it optional. Overall, I am very happy with the Blink Mini-Camera and would recommend it highly.

The tilt is such a game changer, it allows placement in places that wouldn’t have worked before. One thing I wish I had know about Blink is that they don’t have geofencing to arm/disarm.

Hello, Curtis. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the Blink Mini Pan-Tilt indoor camera. Without a Blink Basic/Plus plan, the extended live view time is up to 5 minutes. With the Blink Basic/Plus plan, you get up to 90 minutes of continuous live view (*Applicable to Mini, Mini 2, and Wired Floodlight Camera). You can reopen a Blink Live View session after it has ended by tapping the play button again in the Blink app to start a new live view session. I hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions, please contact Blink Customer Support at 1-833-392-5465. Thank you again, and have a great day! AmazonDevices

I currently own a different brand indoor/outdoor security camera system as well as a doorbell camera of another brand. This is my first time using a Blink product and it appears to perform as promised at a very affordable price point. I needed an additional camera to monitor my grandchildren in their playroom and did not look forward to spending $100+ to add an additional camera to my current setup. The Amazon Blink - Mini Pan-Tilt Indoor Wired HD Video Smart Rotating Security Camera was the perfect solution for what I needed and it’s pan/tilt feature with a 360-degree view was the deciding factor for me since I definitely need to be able to monitor their entire play space. This camera and mount have a small profile and the camera is wired, not wireless. It’s available in a white/grey and a black/grey color scheme. The camera is controlled via the easily downloaded Blink app. Video clips can be stored on a USB drive when using the Blink Sync Module (not included) or video can be stored in the cloud with a Blink Subscription plan that is available for purchase separately. The Blink App walks you through registering for an account and setting up the camera after you have scanned the code on the back of it and connected it to your Wi-Fi. Another big selling point for me is that this camera is compatible with Alexa, the same as my other cameras, and gives me the option of monitoring it without needing to separately access the Blink App. The video is clear, even in dark conditions using the infrared night vision and the two-way intercom is both loud and clear-with very minimal lag time. This camera setup would work great as a nursery monitor and can be set to notify you and record when motion is detected. However, the camera does not follow the subject when motion is detected since the pan/tilt/zoom features are all controlled via the app. Also, as expected I found that the closer I zoomed in the less precise the image became. Camera movement is fairly quiet save a slight “whirring” noise. Overall this camera is a great buy and perfectly suited to my purpose. The Blink brand offers numerous other home security products that can be integrated using this same app, allowing you to expand this camera into a home security suite.

Video quality is okay but audio quality is terrible. There have been times I’ve “armed” the camera in the app and it doesn’t send me notifications that there’s movement.

SUMMARY: Our old security camera always had things juuust out of frame and we could never angle it in a way that captured everything… we almost bought a set of cameras for our home security, but we were able to keep an eye on our entire living area thanks to the Blink’s tilt/pan feature. Overall, the camera is small and compact, and weirdly enough for a security camera…cute? I got the white and it blends into my bookshelves. Since I already have Alexa devices and had the app, set up was easy after scanning the code and linking WiFi. I suggest installing it up high so it has the best view. Recently, we have had maintenance and renovations on our home, and wanted to have an extra eye on things for when we weren’t around and work was being done. It also works great as a puppy cam and came in handy during crate training so we could make sure she was doing okay from the other room, sometimes using the speaker function. FEATURES: - Pan and tilt 360* - Speaker/intercom - hear and speak to people/pets - HD daytime and infrared night view - Motion detection & Motion tracking - Compact, 5” tall. PROS: ● easy set up ● Ability to control and view from your phone ● Good weight to it, so it’s less likely to tip over ● Works with my Alexa products ● Great value ● Compact and nondescript, but still “cute” in its design CONS: ● Sometimes there is feedback on the speaker/intercom ● Image is “good” at 1080p, but could be sharper ● you must subscribe to get full range of features ● I wish it could also be for outdoor CONCLUSION: Overall, I am happy with the product and thinking about getting a second at our other entry door. I’m not super excited about my free 30-day subscription ending, and I’m going to have to think about how much I want to invest in the services. I’m pleased that it pans and tilts so I was able to cut down on multiple cameras to cover the one area.

Pan / Tilt Makes The Blink Mini Even Better!

This is a bit of a combination product - you actually get a complete Blink Mini in the box with a new Pan/Tilt mount to attach it to. While you can obviously use the Blink by itself, you're buying this to get the package deal - and they're better together anyhow! The Blink Mini itself is a strong camera option for a good price - you get clear, crisp HD footage day or with infrared night on your phone (or any Alexa device with a screen - you can control the camera / feed with Alexa too!), fast setup, 2 way audio (so you can speak to whomever you're looking at) and set up motion alerts as well so it can easily be used for security purposes (you can subscribe to a cloud video storage plan or a plan that lets you stream for up to 90 minutes at a time). The mount is pretty nifty as well - you can pan (left/right movement) or tilt (up/down movement) the camera through the smartphone app to see even more - so now you can see a 360 degree field of vision! That adds a lot of extra benefit since you can cover more of your house (or business or wherever you're using the Blink) with fewer cameras or perhaps cover a big open space with just one camera in the middle. So a great camera made even better with the addition of a flexible mount for a very good price - what's not to like about that? I can highly recommend this package if you have anything you might want to keep an eye on.
