Blink basically forces you to purchase a subscription plan. I thought that I was getting a good bundle value. That was true, however, I did not plan on purchasing a plan. This says you do not need the plan to make the cameras work. This is true, however, my experience has been that the cameras are never online when you do not have a plan. The batteries run out! I have only had the device for 3 months and had to change the batteries twice already. I am on a busy block, however, I did not have motion activated because of the lack of control without a plan. If you have some extra money, this will work. You have to have a plan for it to work properly. I am planning on returning them if I can. I will find something that truly works without a subscription.

I am so sorry to hear that you are having issues with your system working properly. While there is a subscription that has added value and features, the experience you are having is not the expected experience one should have without the service. It should not be affecting your battery life, settings, and negatively impacting the service the way you are describing. We would love to troubleshoot further with you to try to see if we can resolve this for you and improve your experience some. Also, there is an optional Sync Module XR device that is sold separately (or in bundles with cameras) that enhances range of your cameras up to 400 additional feet and has a microSD card slot where you can store some video locally allowing for some video recording without subscription. So, there are options available. I would recommend contacting us directly at Blink Customer Support through the Contact Us link in the Help Settings of your Blink smartphone app. Thank you again for your time and feedback and I do hope this helps get you the assistance you need and that you have an amazing day!
