Crappy service

Lost Purchase

Best Buy refused to replace my order or refund my money. They told me to file a police report and it was my problem. You can only get over on me once. The terrible level of customer service and things wrong with this will cost them more than the $160 they essentially stole from me. I won’t buy from them ever again and hope others read my review and question where to shop.

Make sure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz (Blink cameras don't support 5GHz networks)
Check that your Sync Module is properly connected first
Position the cameras closer to your router/Sync Module during initial setup

Arm distance surveillance only

Optimize Sync Module Placement: Position the Sync Module Core in a central location between your router and cameras, ideally elevated and away from metal objects, thick walls, or electronic devices that can interfere with the signal. Even though the cameras are within 100 feet, obstacles like brick walls, metal siding, or appliances can significantly reduce effective range.
Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Ensure your Sync Module has a strong connection to your router. In the Blink app, check the signal strength indicator for both the Sync Module and each camera. If the Sync Module shows weak connectivity to your router, consider moving it closer to the router or using a Wi-Fi mesh network.

Could be my WiFi

You can improve the picture quality of your Blink cameras by adjusting the video settings to Best in your app and ensuring they are within range of your Wi-Fi router. The camera-to-Wi-Fi signal strength plays an important part in how your video quality is rendered, since that data is downloaded directly from the Blink servers to the camera. I recommend making sure your cameras have strong signal strength and positioning the sync module core where the cameras will receive the best signal. While the Blink Outdoor 4 doesn't have a direct memory card slot in the camera itself, it does offer local storage through the included Sync Module Core, which has a USB port for connecting an external USB drive. This allows you to store your recordings locally without requiring a subscription.

Poor Security Cameras

I am so sorry to hear that you are having trouble with them and had to replace the batteries so soon in one of them. There are some settings that you could adjust to lengthen your battery life, especially if you are receiving numerous motion alerts. If you go into your Device Settings in the Blink smartphone app, and then go to Motion Settings, you can adjust the Sensitivity, Zones, or Retrigger Time which could all significantly change your battery life. You should get anywhere from a year to two years out of the life of the lithium-ion AA batteries under normal settings and usage, but this can be affected by network strength, heavy traffic, and numerous motion alerts and recordings. We would still love the opportunity to troubleshoot further with you so that we can possibly resolve your issues and improve your experience with your cameras. I would advise reaching directly out to us at Blink Customer Support through the Hep Menu in your Blink app. There is a Contact Us link that will take you to the ways to reach us. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your camera staying connected. This can be for a few different reasons that you can troubleshoot directly within the Blink smartphone app. If you go to Settings for your device (the 3 dots located within your camera's preview window in the app) then tap Device Settings, and then General Settings you can then check to see your Network Strength and Connection to Sync Module. If these are not at full strength and green, then you may be too far from either your Sync Module or your Sync Module is possibly too far from your modem and router. If both of these are green and full then I would recommend contacting Blink Customer Support from directly within the app's Help Menu. You can reach this by tapping Settings from the home screen of the app, Help, and then Contact Support. Here you can call directly to Tech Support or go to Blink's website to chat online. I would advise doing this while onsite with your malfunctioning camera for the best solution. I hope this gets you the support you need to resolve your issue and I hope you have a fantastic day!

Delivered to the Wrong Address, BestBuy Won't Help

However, the back of the camera fell off, and that is the main part that ensures that the camera is mounted correctly.

Blunk camera
