I have two dogs and I finally decided that I needed to add a smart robot vacuum to home. Bob is very easy to put together but setup took me longer than it should have because bob only connects with 2.4ghz wireless signals and you have to pair using an existing device. Well all of my devices are 5ghz so it did take some research to find a workaround but I did. Bob is very good at cleaning up the house but he is little taller than I thought so doesn't fit under everything and has gotten stuck a few times under the couch. When BOB doesn't get stuck he does a great job cleaning and mopping (if you have then accessory bundle) but he isn't very smart when it comes to finding his way back to the base. Almost every time he runs I have to pick him up and bring him back to the charging base which is easy but not something I thought I would have to do. Included in the accessory bundle also was no go strip, a like 4 foot long cord basically that you lay on the floor where you dont want Bob to go. Unfortunately its not long enough and you only get one so if you have multiple areas you dont want him then you will have to have those all around your house. I trip over it all the time and then it does no good at keeping BOB out. Overall BOB does a good job cleaning but I have to do a lot of prep work before each use.

I have to manage all aspects of housework and with everything that’s going around I decided to reward myself with a robot vacuum, and boy am I glad I did. Every evening when I take my kids out for a walk, Bobby as I call it picks up every bit of hair and mess from floors, under the tables, cabinets, beds and I can track it on my cellphone while it cleans. It’s thin and fits well under our furniture, and not too noisy so the cats are not disturbed like they usually are when I vacuum.

Works great and is fairly quiet. It sets a pattern and it’s nice watching the surface area that’s shown on the app. Once in a while it’ll get stuck under a piece of furniture and after a while you forget about it and then have to go find it.

Highly Recommend - Works great - we have two dogs with tile and carpet flooring. Bob transitions the floors without issue. This model can not map the floor plan, but we find the sweeping patterns will cover all the floors in all the rooms. Battery last between 2-3 hours. After 2 years of use, we sent it to the manufacturer for a check-up for a sticky wheel. They went through all the parts and updated and replaced brushes, filters and tires. This without a doubt was a fantastic experience - adding to the overall value and life of the unit.

We've had Bob for a couple weeks now and he's definitely helping us in the ways we had hoped. Really easy to setup, especially in comparison to the original bobSweep PetHair. Initially, he had some issues with doing a full cycle as he'd stop with a main brush error. Not sure if an update came out or if he just got used to being a vacuum, but now he's running a full cycle and vacuuming our entire main floor. My only wishes are that he'd save his cleaning area so he can learn the best route and that he didn't struggle so much with getting back to his dock. Otherwise, such a worthwhile investment if you can get him at a good price.

Gets stuck, lost and loses Wi-Fi

I had this vacuum for almost 2 weeks and I had to return it yesterday. It cleaned well when it worked, but it always managed to get stuck, get lost going back home and it seemed to lose Wi-fi connectivity a few times a week. I'd get home and there it was in the middle of the living room stuck, with the brush spinning. I have no rug, no stairs or hard obstacles for it to get stuck. My house has either laminate flooring or vinyl planks so it's pretty east to get around. I had a DeeBot for a little over a year and that was AMAZING. I just got tired of having to constantly troubleshoot the thing so I decided to return it. Like I said, when it works as it should it cleans well. It doesn't come with a control and the App is pretty much useless.

I wanted to put this thru its paces before I said anything. I have 2 big fuzzy dogs, and I hate to vacuum.
On the good side, it does the vacuuming and picks up a lot of dust and dog hair.
It also makes me more aware of what is left on the floor.
It has found every wire or cable on the floor, and every dog toy, and tried to sweep them up. It also does try to fit into spaces that are too low, and gets jammed. One of my area rugs has fringe it tends to get caught on, the other is no problem. It gets into all my rooms except for one bathroom that has a higher threshold on the doorway, it sometimes hangs up on it.
Overall the benefits out way the issues, because I do not have to do the work, but I do have to rescue him more often than I expected.
I bought this on sale, if I had paid list price I would be unhappy.

I have tried three different budget smart vacuums. This did a fair job. It cleaned the floor, which is really its main purpose. It didn’t do a great job on the carpets, especially with dog hair but it did do well with crumbs and normal debris on the hardwood floors. It had the hardest time docking. I don’t think it ever docked on its own, I had to manually re-dock. My favorite thing about it was how quiet it was!! But overall, I just wasn’t impressed with how muchy money it is for the performance. It was since been returned and replaced with a Roomba 675, which docks in its own and has a super easy app.

We bought our Bob 11/15/20 thru a Best Buy Deal of the Day, and have had trouble getting it WiFi connected. Finally, with some time off due to the ice storm, I called Customer Service (02/19/21) and Gabe helped me. Initially the set-up procedure failed. We uninstalled and re-installed the app. Failed again Gabe sent me a video. I uninstalled and re-installed the app once more and we finally got it online and connected using the QR Code method. I tested it out and it works great.
We moved our iRobot upstairs because we felt the BobSweep was doing a better job downstairs. We have two dogs, and the amount of hair they shed every day is amazing. "TheBob" seems to pick up a larger quantity of hair, is quieter, and has 2 brushes (compared to only one for the iRobot version we have). Also, TheBob does not get trapped beneath our kitchen cabinets! And, TheBob seems more intelligent as you can see it actually going back and forth is nice straight lines. To contrast, our iRobot seems to randomly travel around the house. TheBob also settles onto the charger much easier and actually charges without us having to think about it. Our iRobot has a tough time parking itself. First, the iRobot has to randomly travel to a spot within about 3 feet of the charger, then it attempts to park. Most of the time I need to remove the dust bin from the iRobot to get it in just the right balance so it will charge. Not so with TheBob. TheBob seems to know where his home is, can find it easily, parks easily, and charges without my intervention! We are very pleased with TheBob. If it had been easier to connect Bob at the very beginning I would probably give it a 5 star.

So far so good. The vacuum works really well as it picks up much of the dog hair in the house. We haven’t had any issues other than the fact that the home mapping feature does not seem to work well. The vacuum doesn’t find itself home most times. Although, I have issues with the home mapping this vacuum works a lot better than others I have tried and returned. Not the best vacuum but not the worst by far.

It works good. I was very skeptical. I researched them and then when this one came up on bb dod I jumped on it. So far I’m very happy w it. I mean it’s a robo vac. So it does get stuck every once in a while.it does have problems w edges and throw rugs sometimes. I have a dog and it somehow manages the dog hair w/out getting full real fast.I would say for 200$ absolutely buy it. But 700-900$ ?? No way.

Piece of junk. I tried it out for a few weeks trying to figure out how to make it work without getting stuck and charging. Decided it was junk and planned to return it ..... Nope, it has been 16 days from purchase and best buy wouldn't return it.
It is never connected to the app which means you can't program or have it clean when you aren't home
It turns off randomly around the house
It doesn't return to it's base when the battery is low
It doesn't map your house.
Not worth the price

This is my first robot vacuum. I always wanted one but we have carpet in the bedrooms and I’d heard these have a reputation not to work on carpet. Recently my husband came across a FB ad from this company advertising a great deal for Mother’s Day and we thought to give it a shot. To my surprise this works perfectly on both our hardwood and our carpet! it even sucks more hair out of carpet than our upright does. It’s also not nearly as loud. The only problem is that long hair gets wrapped around the roller brush and we have to clean it often :/

This is my second BObsweep and I love it! The only reason I got a new one is because the first Bob didn’t connect to WiFi .
I have a cat and two dogs and it does a great job. My home is 4500 ft.² with hard wood floors and some tile with rugs. It goes over the thick and thin rugs with no issues and does a great job cleaning. I am always amazed at what it picks up and I run it every day.
It charges at night and is able to go thru my entire home without needing to be charged before it gets done.
It always finds the base when it does need charging. I’m not sure why other people have issues with that, because no matter where it is in the house it will always go the base.
It is not perfect, I still have to use the regular vacuum to get in small places it can’t fit and I use a Swiffer under places it can’t get under and around some base boards.
You do have to be sure and pick up large objects. If you have a lot of clutter on the floor, it’s not going to work as well.
It does get stuck every now and then and needs help getting out.
Overall, I am very pleased with the job it does.

Bob seems pretty unintelligent. Runs into the same walls over and over, constantly needs intervention and parental guidance. I don’t think I would recommend him to a friend :/. I almost want my mo way back but instead I just do one room at a time. Stick him in a corner and push the play button then once that room is done, pick him up and move him to another room do the same thing again. It’s annoying but it’s slightly better than vacuuming. I only paid ~ $280 for bob and he was originally like $900.. even at that deal, I wouldn’t recommend. Maybe I am doing something wrong... but our floor plan is super simple and we move everything out of his way including a chairs, rugs, etc. yet he still gets lost and confused. :/ very disappointing. I expected an intelligent machine and I am let down.

Definitely picks up pet hair! I've found that it goes over the same area multiple times and sometimes misses others. Sometimes I will pause it, pick it up, and move it to another part of the house. Fits under my sofa and chair too - the first time that's been cleaned in who knows how long! I got it on sale, so for me, it was a great value

Cleans really well. Cant seem to get back to charging station. I just push a button to start it and it goes everywhere to clean. Generally climbs on to the rugs to continue to clean. Has gotten caught on a corner of a rug. I am happy with it.

I've been using the device for less than a month so it's still very new. I've had to reach out to customer service about a question I couldn't find an answer to online (software update related). They were quick to respond and gave me the correct fix immediately. Overall I'm happy with Bob and impressed with the results when compared to an old Hoover robot vacuum.
One feature I was looking for specifically was the replacement battery. The Hoover's was built in so when the battery bit the dust, the entire unit was worthless. That won't be an issue with Bob so I'm hoping to get extended use.
The unit has been running great, it's quiet, and connects to Alexa easily.
Two thumbs up!
