Quality of performance has clearly diminished in a short amount of time. I bought this 4 months ago and while things started out great I become less impressed by the day.
Initially, it brought me unreasonable joy to watch the vacuum - we named him Carl - zip under my couch and back out. "Oh, did Carl just boop a wall and turn around? Precious. Did Carl vacuum up all he could and stop in the middle of the floor because his canister is full? Well, done, Carl." It was easy to get excited about the cool robot vacuum. I was so enchanted I didn't even care that it never connected to wifi and has never been able to map my house. When Carl runs, despite having no logical map or pattern, he does collect a good amount of pet hair and other small refuse. However, he's is really finicky about charging only when aligned very specifically on the charging prongs; as of late the vacuum never seems to have enough battery to even run through a room in my small home. Nowadays this is a waste of space on my floor, as he never charges adequately enough to actually function. Glad I picked this up as a deal of the day. Definitely not worth full price and arguably not worth the sale price either.

Works very good for all my vacuuming needs. Before we bought this vacuum, we would vacuum every two weeks or so, just laziness, now we vacuum every other day always picking up a good amount of pet hair,( 3 dogs and 2 cats worth) and dirt, our carpet is noticeably cleaner. It vacuums in a straight line pattern for effective cleaning. It does get stuck under the couch, but only when someone is on the couch. It does run into most of our furniture, but it maneuvers around it. I paid 200 on a deal of the day, definitely worth it, no way I could afford 900 for a robot vacuum anyway.

Bob is much quieter than the old iRobot we used him to replace, and he cleans well. He gets around good, and his brushes reach much further. He is good about making direct U-turns to ensure that he is covering the floor in a methodical pattern. We have one dog and three cats, and his pet hair collecting has not disappointed. However, we do have to manage him a bit to make sure he makes it back to the docking station for battery charging but that may be because we haven't figured out the app in full yet. We also have a large house, so that is to be expected. We don't mind this minor amount of management. It's so much easier than having to vacuum everywhere all the time!

The app could use some updating like push notifications. However, the robot itself works very well. Once in awhile it will get lost in a large space but otherwise I highly recommend

Thrilled With Our New Bobsweep!

We love our new Bobsweep who we named Bob(very original). He has completely exceeded our expectations. He does an amazing job cleaning, handles transitions and corners well and fits under our kitchen cabinets.
With 3 cats he is doing a great job on the pet fur. Cats aren’t crazy about him..
He can get focused on going to one area- but does seem to find his way to every part of the room.
We just got the mop attachment for this model - works well too!
Why didn’t people tell me I needed a Bob - just get it on sale.
It’s new so I can’t comment on longevity but so far we are thrilled with Bob!

Bad mapping of the house. It never finishes. Also it slams into the furniture or any obstacles. Poor job at avoid object. You can't leave it unattended. But it actually clean good. It just never finish mapping the house so I can't add boundaries. Supposedly goes for $899 but was on sale for $199. Yet not worth the $899 and maybe the $199 but I can find better for $199 that don't get stuck.

I was so excited to get this- the reviews made me really want to experience this little magic vacuum for myself! I am not disappointed - it is incredibly effective and easy to use - not so easy setting up Bluetooth and that is why It gets 4 stars and not 5 !

We bought this, and. It did vacuum, although it did not seem to. Have any particular pattern or method to doing so. In addition, it did not keep a map of the house so we could know what was done, and what was not. Finally, it would get caught on the edges of our rugs in the house and we had to keep rescuing it. So we returned it. And bought a iRobot vac

I already own (and love) a different bObsweep vacuum, so I was really excited to try this “upgraded” one!
This Bob is seriously the quietest robot vacuum ever - when we first tried him out, I couldn’t even tell he was in “vacuum mode” because he was so quiet!
He does a crazy-good job getting in every corner and covering every inch of my home. I love how he seamlessly navigates between wood floors, rugs, and carpet with no issues. Also, the bObsweep app has changed the vacuum game! It’s so cool to be able to use Bob from my phone.
I highly recommend purchasing any bObsweep product, especially the PetHair Vision Robot Vacuum. It’s worth every penny - you will not regret this purchase!

I would recommend this vacuum to a friend if they did not have a lot of furniture, their furniture did not have legs that extended past vertical, and they did not have lightweight rugs.
This vacuum does not out preform an old Kirby (but I haven't found a new vacuum that does). It does however pickup hair well (if you or you pet have long hair be prepared to pull it out of the brush often like other vacuums but with the advantage of Bob telling you it is clogged so as not to burn the motor). The main draw backs of this model for me is not being able to 'drive' it or teach it a path to follow via the app (some of the remote controlled Bob's can be driven from my understanding) and cleaning the filter after each use is a pain.
I have seating with chairs set at angles which can confuse Bob when trying to find a way around while staying on his grid pattern but other times he is fine and handles the obstacle like a champ (he can also miss entries into whole rooms). I also have furniture with queen anne style legs which Bob has a tendency of bumping into hard or trying to run over (he mounts them and the base of floor lamps and drives over them with one wheel on the floor and the rest in the air). Because of this I am afraid of scratching. Finally he is about 50/50 on being able to master lightweight area rugs depending on the angle and location he tries to approach it. All of this results in me following him around in many areas which defeats the set it and forget idea and would make a traditional vacuum much faster. These issues would be easily solved if it was possible to program the layout you wanted him to follow or at least let you 'drive' him while doing something else.

This thing works fairly well as a vacuum. It fills the dust bin pretty well but it misses areas. I have two rooms of carpet and the rest is vinyl plank with 2 area rugs.
It seems to build a map every time it runs and gets itself off-track each time. Relocating the machine has helped some but its not good enough. The map on the phone doesn't match where it is quite often and gets worse the longer the machine runs.
One time when my iPhone decided to download a new version of the app, the robot quit. It seems to be totally dependent on the app. I reopened the app and the robot started again but the map of where it had cleaned was gone. The disappearing map has happened at least one other time.
After 4-5 runs it has yet to stop cleaning and find the charging station on it s own. Its gets lost and I have to pick it up and move it to about 5 feet from the charging station, then it finds it.
You can't make it do specific areas. The app allows preset cleaning times but only at 10:00AM on whatever days you choose.
Thankfully I did not pay full price for this thing. I'll keep using it but I can't leave it on its own. The app, the robot and its programming need a lot more work. Do not pay full-price for this!

I received Bob as a gift. Bob worked great for about a year. I cleaned Bob’s bin after every use. Long review short - watch the video on how to properly care for Bob. Customer service (CS) with Bob is AMAZING! The communication with CS is top-notch.

You can only connect 4g network, and it takes a while to setup . It has trouble maneuvering around the furniture and goes over the same area multiple times. I usually have to pick it up and move it to an open area. The suction is good and does pick up pet hair and dust adequately. Does not have mop attachment. Wish I had purchased the Vision plus instead.

Bobsweep pet hair vision works great

Bobsweep's pet hair vision robot vacuum works great. It does a terrific job cleaning bare floors and carpet. It does need a few extra passes on carpets to get them clean.
There are a few minor quirks I'll mention. First, we have a couple of light throw rugs and the vacuum can get stuck with it's brushes under the carpet. Second, there are a couple of places (like a refrigerator door) where it can get stuck and even turn off. And of course, it can get in trouble with wires or cables, but that's obvious.
Those are minor quirks and overall Bobsweep pet hair vision robot vacuum is terrific!

I love Bob, especially for his ability to pick up my cat's fur.
Pro: great at picking up cat fur, scheduling sessions is easy, quiet and gentle when bumping into furniture, docks reliably
Con: poor at picking up cat litter or other small crumbs, mapping is poor and requires Bob to repeat areas already completed. Instruction book is woefully inadequate, and finding help online is scattered all over the Bob website.
Adequate: Sometimes loses WiFi connection, takes almost 12 hours to recharge fully. Dustbin has lots of nooks and crannies, making emptying harder than it should be
Wishlist: Android app is easy to use, but enhancements like battery status would be nice. App should retain map after completion for later review.

Supposedly the most advanced of the BObSweep products. I’ve had this product for about a month now. Here are some things that I learned...
1. Ensure it’s properly on the Charger
2. Clear the area of possible obstacles.
3. It gets stuck quite a bit. Needs supervision
Overall not a bad product for the price. It vacuums up a good amount. I have not had to vaccine manually since using this product.

This week for brushes are much larger than the last Bob sweet that I had. I do find it has more difficulty returning to its charging station. It also goes off line more frequently.
