Comfortable and Easy to Use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sleepbuds come with the charging case, which you can also use to store them if you’re taking them with you on the go, a charging cable, the Sleepbuds themselves, instructions, and two sets of ear tips. These extra ear tips are for if you need the Sleepbuds to be larger or smaller depending on the size of your ears. Although the original size was a perfect fit for my ears, I changed them out with the bigger ones just to see how easy it was to do. It’s pretty intuitive and easy to switch between sizes. Make sure you pick the size that best fits your ear to maximize comfort once you start using these while you sleep. The initial setup for the Sleepbuds was very simple. The instructions were easy to follow and took me less than 15 minutes to do everything. There’s even a QR code included in the packaging to help make finding the required app you’ll need to use the Sleepbuds very easy to find. Although they say this in the instructions, it’s important to note that the Sleepbuds need to be fully charged before first use. Otherwise, the required app won’t sync to the Sleepbuds. Don’t open your new Sleepbuds and expect to immediately be able to start using them. I left mine to charge for a few hours when I first got them and they were ready to go. The earbuds themselves were very easy to use and comfortable to wear. Once I slipped them in, it was a bit weird at first to feel them fit so snuggly into my ear. However, once I started using them, I barely felt anything as I drifted easily off to sleep. The sound comes through very clear and volume control is as simple as turning the volume up or down on your phone depending on how loud you prefer the noise to be. It’s worth mentioning that only noises from the app play through the headphones. You can’t use the Sleepbuds to, for example, listen to music or videos in other apps. That being said, there is an option to let phone calls through so they play through the Sleepbuds, ensuring you don’t sleep through any important calls you may be expecting. There is also an option to control how long the noise plays through the earbuds if you only need the noise in the initial phase of falling asleep, but don’t want to hear it all night. This timer is a pre-determined list set in the app. Here are my critiques of the product. First, it only comes with a charging cable and not an accompanying wall charger. I, like most people I would suspect, had a spare wall charge lying around I could use. So this wasn’t a problem for me. However, if you don’t have one you’ll have to buy a USB wall charger to use with this device. You may also find the noise library a bit limited depending on your expectations. While there are 40 different noises you can choose from, there isn’t an option to download more or even add sounds from your personal library. However, it’s highly possible you’ll find a sound right for you. And I learned later that the Bose website has some samples in their library you can try out online to get an idea of if they’ll have something for you. Lastly, while I wore the Sleepbuds for 5 nights straight without them falling out, one did fall out on the 6th night. It wasn’t a big deal, but just a heads up that it isn’t impossible for these to fall out of your ear. This is especially so if you’re someone who tosses and turns a lot at night. However, I move a lot in my sleep so I was impressed they stayed in for 5 out of 6 nights. Overall, I really enjoy using the Bose – Sleepbuds II. I didn’t use a noisemaker prior to getting these, but the sensation of falling asleep to the rain, which is one of my personal favorites from the library, has me hooked. These were some of the most peaceful nights sleeping I’ve had in a while. I would recommend these to anyone who enjoys falling asleep to some kind of noise or sound.

Worked great until it didn’t - DEAD !

Tried three different cords, and three different power supplies all with no luck. Tried resetting - using directions for Bose - no luck! Tried calling Bose - but non-stop that increment upwards not down when in waiting on line.

Taking a chance

Have you been through any troubleshooting? I'd recommend resetting the Sleepbuds by inserting a paper clip into the small hole found next to the charging port on the case. Also, ensure that the latets firmware is installed by going to https://btu.bose.com and connecting with the USB cable.

They are very cheaply made - mostly a little plastic peice with a silicone eartip. I tried them for 11 days hoping they would feel less uncomfortable but had no luck. Every morning I woke up with sore ears after trying all different eartip sizes. They feel like they cost $10 to make and are being sold for $250!? What!?!? The case is the most “premium” feeling but still overall is completely overpriced. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.

Comfortable 'Buds, Not Only for Sleep
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Aimed more towards assisting with getting/remaining asleep, these earbuds are also perfect at diminishing the every-day noises that can distract and irritate and cause loss of focus. Following an easy initial set-up, pairing and connection to my Samsung J7, I ran into an issue where the earbuds would pair but not connect. Troubleshooting ultimately pointed to an issue with the J7, too many devices paired, and not with the Sleepbuds. These earbuds are small, extremely comfortable, secure in the ear and do not cause any irritation or distraction when sleeping on my side. Plenty of sounds are included, some pre-loaded, others available in the app, that will appease most people, do a very good job of masking external noises and provide soothing tones that help fall and remain asleep. Other than the connectivity issue, the only negative issues for these earbuds is their limited battery life (10 hours), the inability to load any personal sound files and their cost ($250)..

We bought it this thinking It would hell her with the noise cancelling purpose. We bought it because my daughter has Autism and she sometimes needs the noise to be off. Best Buy wouldn’t take it back or even give credit as I tried to return it about a month later than the date allowed. I didn’t really know it was working for my daughter. I would think we could if least gotten credit or something.

Do not buy - Barely lasted a year!
