The Soundtouch Wireless Link is GREAT! I have a set of Samsung multimedia speakers I wasn't using anymore due to them being outdated and not being bluetooth compatible. I was thinking about donating them to the goodwill till I found out about this useful adapter and boy am I glad I didnt donate them. It was super easy to set up and connect the adapter to my speaker set. Syncing the adapter to my phone and adding Bluetooth compatibility was a piece of cake. Literally took about 5 minutes to set up and sync. The link is pretty small in size, so thats not an issue at all. Thanks Bose, Now I can enjoy my music anytime of day.

The Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link is a good product. It has brought new life to my 5.1 surround sound system purchased and installed a decade ago. I have spent some time getting to know the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link, as overall, it is a good product with potential to scale up and expand. Here are my impressions on the software, the solution, and the setup. SOFTWARE I admit - I am not a fan of the iPhone or iPad. I use a custom build (CyanogenMod) Android phone. The software required to complete the setup of the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link is available on the Google Play Store. SETUP It is a straightforward download and install. Once the software was setup on my phone, connecting the phone to the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link was easy. The app said software updates were available to download for the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link. Connected the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link to my home wireless network, downloaded the updates, connected the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link to my receiver with the included optical connector, and turned everything on. Done! THE APP There are a few bad reviews of the app. The current version has not crashed my phone - Bose must have addressed the bugs. It is intuitive enough and easy to use. BLUETOOTH Bluetooth support has to be one of the most important differentiators for the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link. With the SoundTouch we can stream directly to the Soundtouch Link via Bluetooth. The music can also be rebroadcasted to all other SoundTouch connected speakers. It works flawlessly and the sound quality is more than great for Bluetooth. Initial pairing is also simple. Just press the clearly marked Bluetooth button on the top of the unit and pair your device. GOOGLE MUSIC SUPPORT There is no native support for Google Music. I connected my phone (and my latptop) via Bluetooth to the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link, and can access my Google Music library on my phone/laptop. While it would be nice to have native support, this does not limit what the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link does. OTHER MUSIC SERVICES We subscribe to Amazon Prime so we love that their music service is available through the Bose app. Local internet radio stations also popped up on the app and could be listened to with just a touch. AUDIO QUALITY The sound quality is very impressive. I have not used the analog connectors that came with the Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link. The included optical connector works with my stereo receiver. Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link can also be used as a headphone DAC and amplifier. Definitely an upgrade in sound quality over the internal DAC of my laptop and Android phone. It is small and powers headphones very nicely. Just a note for you headphone enthusiasts. CONCLUSION The Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link will let you squeeze a few more years out of a system that may have been state of the art a decade ago.

Have a Soundtouch10, Soundtouch 20, and now this wireless link adapter which is connected to some old Sony speakers. I already loved my ST20; however, I have found that my listening experience has been taken to another level by placing the ST20 and the Sony speakers with the wireless adapter in close proximity and grouping them. I now have the best of two worlds....the additional bass from my old Sonys along with the superb clarity and sharpness of my Bose. By using the Soundtouch App's volume control under the group setting, I am able to customize according to what I am listening to. If I want more clarity for jazz, I go heavier on the ST20 and easier on the Sonys. If I feel like turning it up and rocking it out, I go a little heavier on the Sonys for extra bass but can still hear and enjoy the clarity of the vocals and instrumentals from the ST20. The wireless link adapter is truly a winner. It is low cost solution for updating an old piece of equipment and, for me, enhancing the new.

This adapter has great sound quality. However, the instructions were a little hard to understand. But when I finally got the adapter to hook up right and music to play, the sound was excellent! There was no static whatsoever. The black box is small in size. Definitely a positive thing. It does not take up so much space. For a small box, it sure does have a really good sound! I highly recommend this product!

This was the perfect product to fill my needs. I have a great quality system that is a little older. I hooked this up using the optical sound cable and it worked like a chare. Good quality sound what at the price and the brand should be expected. I have tried some cheaper adapters and I had every imaginable problem. Happy to have a product that works!

After receiving this adapter, I was quickly and easily able to connect a pair of "non-Bluetooth" Active Powered monitors, allowing me to utilize my production quality speakers and remotely play music wirelessly. What a great tool for audio playback from mobile devices, I can have clients connect their phones to showcase songs through the speakers wirelessly, instead of an auxiliary method. The sound quality was very impressive and the sleek design takes up minimal space. The Bluetooth connection distance was impressive as well. I live in a 2 bedroom, so it wasn't tested largely but enough distance to matter. The only improvement I would make, is possibly creating an XL version to connect multiple systems for the multiple sound system owners. Overall, great product for the price point to Utilize speakers wirelessly. I will be recommending this product to my friends that tend to have less portable sound systems lacking wireless capabilities. I will continue to use this and pair different sets of speakers.

Another winning product from Bose. Allowing us to utilize our older thechnology with today's technology. Simple set up. Sound is fantastic. Easy to use app. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone!

This Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link Adapter comes with optical, AUX and RCA (plugs into AUX) cables which makes it useful for connecting many audio devices. I used it with my age old dummy audio speakers with an AUX input. I was able to listen to internet radio, online streaming sources, and music using the App. The only short coming I could figure is that it plays music – not video. Though Youtube works great in audio mode only. The slick app that comes with it is well designed. It logs into the my amazon account and then I can play my existing Amazon Prime Music playlists. For me it is money well spent. # I was provided a sample device of this for early test for no charge.

Got this adapter over a month ago. After reading the instructions I knew I was in trouble, having issues connecting things. To my surprise, it was easy. I was able to connect to my sound bar without problems. It took all of 15 mins. for me. Using my phone and tablet, where I have most of my music stored, it was easy to connect via bluetooth. I love the fact that I do not have to walk around the apartment with headphones on. The sounds through my sound bar is great. Not having the music apps on my tv, this is great and definitely works from me. The streaming from my phone and tablet is without any interruptions and the clarity of sound is great.

I brought this adapter to connect my phone to the speakers wired in my home. I didn’t need one of the larger stero system with 1000 cables to connect to the home. This adapter is perfect!!!! I just plugged it into the aux outlet turned it on, downloaded the app, and I was ready to go. It’s probably one of the easiest devices I’ve ever had to set up. It’s also very easy for others to connect their phone to the adapter if we decide to stream from another phone. It was very much worth the price and has the quality that I have grown to expect from Bose.

Some of the feature of this device are excellent. It was extremely easy to connect to my soundbar via RCA jacks - and it was very easy to set up with the app for my iPhone 7. And activating the device and playing music works very smoothly and easily. Other features - surrounding the music services and functionality - are not so great. I primarily use iTunes Match (Apple Music) and Amazon Prime/Music Unlimited. And as of yet there is no support for iTunes (hopefully coming in the future), and the functionality of Amazon Music is limited. I'm limited to a few preset selections, but no Search function. So I can't access purchased music that I have on Amazon nor Amazon Unlimited unless I first create a playlist. Which requires exiting and moving to the Amazon Music app to create the playlist. Which seems tedious and wasteful. (And even this only seems to work 50% of the time. Several times the newly created playlist doesn't show up in the BOSE app. The unit is nice and compact, and easy to set up, but with it's current play modes it's not nearly as useful as my SONOS speaker or the Amazon Dot that I have connected to a speaker in a similar manner. Here's hoping for some improvements in the future.

I was presented the Bose Soundtouch for review and have spent the past several weeks using this in my home office. The sound quality of the Bose unit is very good considering that one is streaming the music via Bluetooth which is more limiting than a direct connection. I used the RCA connector supplied with the product to make the connection to my receiver. Where the product falls short is in the written material and software. When unboxing, one finds that the included paperwork doesn't provide sufficient information to get up and running without needing to go online for a more detailed manual. When I am in the process to set up something that I want to use, I don't want to go online to find the manual. The software, available for smart phones and computers, is not very self explanatory. In the end, I never did utilize it. Even though I have a PC that has built-in Bluetooth, I was unable to stream music from the PC to the Bose and ended up using my smart phone. The lack of support for Apple Music was surprising. With a little work on the setup instructions and software, this would be an exceptional product.

I am testing this product for review purposes. I have owned other Bluetooth adapters in the past, but none as easy as this. First off, initial set up was a breeze. Plug in, download the app, and go. From there, it was always that easy. Even better, if the sound link was sleeping, I could wake it from my phone and didn't have to worry about touching the device. Overall has been a wonderful experience and another way Bose has made my world easier.

I own a Bose color wireless speaker. The set up for this piece was easy. It literally took seconds. However, this was not the case with the wireless link. It took me hours and weeks. To be fair, I was moving states and had a holiday so time was not on my side. But, I honestly had to devote hours to this set up. Which, with family is difficult. So.. 1. Before you buy, consider if you are tech savvy and if the answer is no and you still want to buy then be prepared for a lot of time to be consumed 2. Download the user manual first. It does not come with one in the package...you can find those directions in the papers sent with the link. 3. Download the sound touch app on your smart phone AND your computer. 4. Make sure you have admin rights to download on your computer. Even if you do, it may give you grief so google is your best friend here to help you figure out how to bypass the problem. 5. Follow directions exactly; don't try to "wing it". Wont work. 6. Stay focused. You'll get there. It just takes a bit of time but it works once its all set up. Works really fantastic.

great item. never had an issue with it. I bought one and first returned it. I ended up going back to Best Buy to buy it again. I had a faulty wire and it wasn't this items fault. I use this allot and iike it. I am able to use my BOSE cinema speaker system with my Soundtouch-10 speakers for listening to music. I get a fuller sound this way.

I have had this for about a week now and really like it. It was a pain to set up initially, but once it was up and running it was really nice to be able to play music from my phone anywhere in my house since chasing a toddler is part of my life. It looks nice on the shelf and is a great little tool.

I loved how easy the setup was using this device. Just a simple app download and choosing the connection type and you are done. The sound quality was perfect along with the range. I used this in my bedroom on the second floor and had no connectivity issues at all.

I have 1 soundtouch systems in my house and an 8 year old Bose 301 bookshelves speakers with my Onkyo amplifier in my garage.I love the sound .but it felt outdated when it comes to connectivity and media options. This allowed me to sync everything together very easily and now I'm going to be using this almost daily. Perfect

This product is great as are all things Bose. It was very easy to setup. It syncs with my phone without any problem allowing me to stream music from my phone.
