I opted not to get navigation on a new vehicle because I love my Garmin! I also do not want the Garmin mounted on the windshield and it cannot sit on the dash with a sticky mount as it did in my old sedan. This NavMat III allows the Garmin to sit on the console out of sight of other drivers but still very handy for us. This mount allows the Garmin to be easier to conceal when we leave the car.

An excellent deal especially if you buy the GPS and can get this at a reduced price. My old bean bag bounced around quite a bit.

My review is based on my use and my equipment. I have an 09 Carolla. The product is built nice. I've had it for about a month now and it feels like it would last forever. The problem is, is that it's not really made for my car. It slides around if I give too much gas or step on the brakes to hard. To me, this defeats the purpose. I guess they didn't have my dash in mind when they designed it. If you have a car with a smooth dash that doesn't really have a indentation, I wouldn't recommend buying this. Get something that has a sticky underside.

Generally pretty good product, we also have the Garmin version for our other car and that one does better on a less-than-flat surface. This unit is pretty stiff, it does a decent job usually, but over pretty bad roads when the car is vibrating a good amount, it moves around more than I'd like.

We had a suction cup with our old unit and it was always falling off the dash. Love this need heavy weight holder.

This base works great holding my GPS, we move it from one vehicle to another without any problem.

I like the idea that it is skid free and use it for my cell phone. I think the price is high, plus you also have to purchase sepeately the dash mount. Would like to see a package deal on this. I use this item on my dash of my pickup.
