I purchased a Braun shaver about 10 years ago and I thought it worked fine, until it was dropped and broke. I saw several reviews on the Series 7 with one saying it shaved as close as a blade. Given my good experience with my last Braun shaver I thought I'd get this one. I'm glad I did as it has cut my shaving time in half and does a better job than my old razor. The review I read was right, with one exception. The Series 7 did give me as close of a shave as a blade, but for only about two to three weeks. Over, the last week or so I have noticed the shave not being as close, but still an exceptional shave for an electric razor.

Rated as the top choice in all the sites I read, I had high expectations. Shaves well, seems fairly high quality in build, but the locking mechanism that controls the pivoting head. on the first one I bought broke within a week. I was on the road for two weeks so returning it to Best Buy became a challenge. I was beyond the return period for BB and was stuck. Braun offered me a full refund if I mailed the unit back to them, or I could visit one of their warranty centers. Didn't seem fair for a brand new item. In the end my local store swapped it for a new one as a courtesy. I'm very careful with the locking mechanism and so far so good. I actually wouldn't be surprised if it was the cleaning device that actually caused the damage. So make sure the head is unlocked before you insert it for a charge and cleaning. The cleaning device also work very well. Even better then my old Norelco.

I have used it for a couple week every two or three days and it just works fine for me so far

This shaver provides for a close shave and has a unique cleaning feature. I gave it a 4, rather than a 5 due to the high cost. It's an excellant product but overpriced, even though I bought it at a so called sale price. Hopefully it will last for many years.

I loved the shaver as I get a great close shave. This was a gift to me and I would highly recommend as it is easy to use and clean. The maintenance is very easy.

I switched to the Braun after many years with a Norelco to see the difference. The Braun seems well built and provides a good shave. The cleaner has worked well and the shaver holds a charge for several shaves. All in all ... I like the switch!

I have very sensitive skin & I was very concerned that a shaver would be to harsh. I can proudly say that I am very pleasantly surprised to say, "I have had no issues AT ALL so far!" I have been using it now for a month. The cleaning cycle is great and efficient

I replaced an old Braun that I had for so many years I can't even remember. The new one is much more quiet and does a fantastic job. A real quality shave and shaver.

Cleaning station takes good care of the razor. Shave is way better than their older series 5 models. Battery charge never really drops between cleaning every 3-4 days.

I previously tried the old type electric shavers but they tore up my skin. The Braun is gentle on my skin and gives a good shave. It is not as close as with a razor but it is super convenient for a fast, good shave in the busy morning.

Excellent shave options and cleaning/recharging is both rapid and thorough. Feels great in the hand as well unlike some electrics I have owned. Great shaver!!!

I read many reviews and looked at all the shavers in the store. This shaver gives the closest shave I have found and has a great cleaning system.
