Works amazing just not waterproof... Also battery life is not that great

I like this razor & use it for everyday use without any problems

I had an older version that I preferred that died. This gives you a great shave but it pulls at times. I probably wouldn't buy this again.

THE "BRAUN" SERIES 7-790CC SHAVING SYSTEM, IN SILVER, IS PROOF OF THE FACT THAT EVEN THE MOST BASIC, PRACTICAL, AND ESSENTIAL OF PRODUCTS CAN BE ENHANCED TO ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. CANDIDLY, I'VE BEEN USING MY ONCE QUITE EXCELLENT, BUT NOW QUITE OLD & WORN-OUT "REMINGTON" ELECTRIC SHAVER, AND PUSHING IT LONG AFTER IT WAS DUE FOR A CHANGE TO A NEWER, HOPEFULLY BETTER ELECTRIC SHAVER. SOME MORNINGS, WHEN MY DAY REQUIRED THAT I APPEAR AT MY BEST, I WOULD ALTERNATE WITH THE SO-CALLED IMPROVED, DISPOSABLE "GILLETTE" BLADES. BOTH OF THESE HAD CAUSED ME CONSIDERABLE IRRITATION. DURING SOME REALLY HOT/HUMID SUMMER WEATHER, SKIN ABRASIONS CAN POSE GREAT DISCOMFORT, AND ADVERSELY AFFECT ONE'S MOOD. THE LATTER MANNER OF SHAVING, WAS SIMILAR TO AND, YET, SOMEWHAT IMPROVED TO THAT WHICH I HAD OBSERVED, DURING MY EARLY YOUTH, MY ELDER RELATIVE'S ENDURING AS AN EVERY DAY FACT OF LIFE. I HAD BEEN RESEARCHING ALL THE COUNTLESS MAKES AND MODELS ALLEGING THEIR VERSIONS OF IMPROVED, NEW TECHNOLOGY FEATURES; THOUGH, NONE HAD APPEARED TO BE REALISTIC CLAIMS. SO, I HAD BEEN CONSIDERING AND DELAYING A DECISIVE MOVE TOWARD A SHAVE THAT I COULD BELIEVE IS A REALISTIC IMPROVEMENT. I, FINALLY, DECIDED IT HAD BEEN THE TIME FOR AN ESSENTIAL CHANGE, WHICH WOULD HOPEFULLY BE FOR THE BETTER. I FELT A BIT OF INITIAL SHOCK UPON LEARNING OF THE HIGH COST OF THIS "BRAUN" SHAVING SYSTEM, WONDERING IF I SHOULD TAKE THE CHANCE TO TRY IT. ALAS, I DID SO AND MY WAIT HAD BEEN WORTHWHILE, AS I NOW EXPERIENCED THE MOST IMPRESSIVE SHAVE EVER, UPON INITIALLY USING IT. UNDOUBTEDLY, IT IS WORTH THE PRICE, AS NO SHAVER COULD POSSIBLY PERFORM SO WELL. I ORDINARILY HATE EVEN THE THOUGHT OF SHAVING, BUT EACH AND EVERY SHAVE WITH MY "BRAUN" IS AN AMAZING PLEASURE. I FIND THE TRIMMER IS A CONVENIENT, ACCURATE MANNER OF DEALING WITH SIDEBURNS AND SUCH. WHILE THE NON-REPLACEABLE BUILT-IN BATTERY, WHICH AT THIS PRICE, HAD BEEN OF SLIGHT CONCERN, IT REQUIRES NO SIGNIFICANT RECHARGING TIME AT ALL. BESIDES, JUST A QUICK RECHARGE RESULTS IN LONG LASTING BATTERY POWER, SINCE I GET NEARLY A DOZEN SHAVES PER-CHARGE, OR THE POWER DOES REMAIN FOR WEEKS ON STANDBY. AESTHETICALLY, IT IS STYLED IN A RUGGEDLY HANDSOME MANNER. PLUS, IT HAS REASONABLY DURABLE CONSTRUCTION. THE CHARGING STAND IS RATHER NICE, TOO. THE ALCOHOL CLEANSING CARTRIDGE IS AN EASY, SENSIBLE WAY OF MAINTAINING THE HYGIENIC ASPECT. I DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO KEEP UP WITH PURCHASING AND REPLACING THE CARTRIDGES, SO I OCCASSIONALLY FIND OTHER APPROACHES TO CLEANING THE SHAVER, WHICH IS ALSO JUST FINE. ALL IN ALL, EVEN THOUGH IT'S GREAT IF POSSIBLE TO PURCHASE IT AT A DISCOUNT, THIS IS A SHAVING SYSTEM THAT'S WORTH THE COST, SINCE IT OPERATES QUIETLY AND EFFICENTLY, YIELDING CONSISTENTLY CLEAN, CLOSE, COMFORTABLE SHAVE AFTER SHAVE. SHAVING MADE PLEASURABLE? WELL, ALMOST. I'LL SUM IT UP IN THESE WORDS, EVERY MAN MUST OWN THIS "BRAUN" SHAVING SYSTEM.

I bought the electric shaver because I really got tired of using the razor, read a lot of positive reviews and went ahead and bought it, I think this machine is over rated, it's really fancy and I liked the cleaning station but it wasn't a good shaver, at least it didn't work with my beard, I have thick hair tho but this machine was supposed to work on all hair type. Had to return it

I am enjoying the facial shave that the Braun Series 7 gives me. The design of the 7 series gives me a very comfortable close shave. The detailed instructions provided are very informative. The special features of the shaver are well thought out.

Very very very over priced....This product is definitely not worth it! It pulls your hair out after using it for 2 weeks...i tried changing the cartridge for $39.99 and that too does the same after using it for 2 weeks...probably 10 shaves.

This is probably a great electric razor for many, however, it didn't work very well for me. I have a light beard and I couldn't get a close shave with it and I started to get a rash. I did everything that it said to do to get a great shave but after a week I decided to return it.

Switched over from a Norelco shaver, not impressed at all.

You can find something better for $200. The screen is difficult to get off and to put on and the trimmer is positioned in such a way that it makes it awkward to use. I should have returned it.

I bought this razor for my husband and it didn't give him the close shave he wanted. I even tried it on my legs and it barely did anything. All in all, it was a bit of a let down. We returned it.

It doesn't give me the close shave I desire. I have to stretch my skin and press really hard with the shaver to get a close shave and still its not close enough.

i haven never been able to use a razor due to sensitive skin, i would always get razor bumps but never get a close shave with electric shavers, beard and mustcache trimmers or rotary shavers. This item works flawlessly on my next and doesn't leave bumps. It has better power on my cheeks and mustache to get the rough hairs in a quick pass. The battery lasts a long time, The only thing thats a annoyance is the noise when its cleaning itself. Other than that the product works as advertised.

This is by far the best electric shaver I've used. I prefer it over any other shaving method I've tried. I've spent hundreds of dollars on products from The Art of Shaving and tried a variety of razors and shaving methods, but I was never completely satisfied. I have pretty good skin but is a bit sensitive and prone to ingrown hairs, especially when I get a really close shave. Lately I've settled for a not so close shave from disposable razors to avoid ingrowns wrecking my complexion. The Braun 790cc gives me a closer shave than a disposable razor but not so close as to cause ingrown hair. I won't be shaving with anything else in the foreseeable future. The only bad thing I can say about it is that sometimes there are some stubborn individual hairs that it has trouble getting even after repeated passes. It's not enough of an issue to subtract a whole star from my rating but I might give it a 4.5 if that were an option. I just keep a disposable razor handy to quickly take care of the stragglers when it comes up. I bought this shaver in the store and had them price match against amazon, which saved a lot of $$$. This shaver is actually the 790cc-4, but don't be confused. On amazon it is also listed as the 790cc, without the -4, even though thats what they're really selling. The non -4 model has a white base and doesn't have the (+) and (-) buttons next to the power button. Its been discontinued so almost everywhere you see the 790cc for sale, its really the 790cc-4.
