    Horrible touchscreen

    I returned this because the touchscreen was horrible! I homeschool and print stuff a lot!!! I do a ton of double-sided printing and it was not a simple process to get that and didn't have the ability to make a shortcut like my prior brother. I got a different model and it's much better.

    Fast scanner. Toner empty too soon.

    Pro: Fast auto document feeder. Con: Toner that came with it only lasted two months! My old bare bone brother lazer printer lasts about a year before replacing. Also, this one did not come with the touch screen like my old one, which made it seem cheap and navigating through the menu is rough.

      If you feel you aren't getting the correct yield out of your toner cartridge, consider the following:

      1. Is the toner cartridge the starter cartridge that came with the machine or is it a replacement toner cartridge?

      If the toner cartridge is the starter cartridge that came with the machine, the start cartridge has a lower amount of toner compared to the standard and high yield replacement cartridges and doesn't yield as high a page count as the replacement toners.

    It seems very slow at times and it will just randomly stop printing. I have to go in and cancel the items in the queue and start over.

    Nice printer difficult to navigate

    too difficult to connect to internet. I have tried multiple times and have a hard time and I am kinda techy so I can imagine someone that doesnt know about technology.

    I bought a Brothers printer and geek squad support. When I called after it did not work, the geek squad person referred me to tech support and a $40 charge to try to fix it. I refused and went to the store. Geek squad is coming to my house. I spent 40 minutes of wasted time on the phone.

    Brother copier best one I ever had. Don't have to worry about color cartridge. It's in all black wireless copier.

    It sucks! No password on the back so I cannot register it or get updates. I don't like that you can't scan if the toner is out. It keeps telling me I need paper and it's half full. It mangles envelopes, they come out wrinkled and crooked. I need to return it actually.

    Straight forward setup. Took some time since was that familiar with Brother. Easy connection to the internet and works great. A lot of bang for the buck with this unit

    Networking is Awful!

    Brother's printer is not a user friendly product. I had difficulty with he cartridge and support was bad. Go that working then tried networking to ethernet connection. It did not work. It is not Apple friendly either. BestBuy was very helpful and refunded my money.

    Cannot load the printer to my computer. Have tried aeveral times to load a new driver but there is no driver for my printer in Brother driver downloads.

    Brother DCP-L2640DW printer is one of the fastest printers I’ve ever used. For black and white copies this thing does a fantastic job with all the features that it has. Wireless printing worked so effortlessly with the WiFi network; that’s because this was one of the easiest printers to set up. The Brothers app gave me a little trouble setting up but manually used the LCD screen to connect to WiFi. DCP-L2640DW looks nice inside an office and there is a fax feature here as well. Making. Copies of a document were less than a few seconds with each print. Laptops, Tablets, and cell phones are all connected to the printer without a problem. The packaging was perfect and nothing was broken inside the printer when received. I’ve had a good time printing with this one for B&W documentation. It’s one of the best if you are looking for a printer without color and prints at an insane speed. It’s perfect for a printer and that alone deserves 5/5 stars. I never had a printer where I set it up with the speed and quickest that I did. No issues concerning WiFi connectivity. As far as ease of use go this is up there on my list. Without being a tech guy I would recommend this printer to anyone.
