This printer is a dream. Easy and consistent connectivity. Great scanning. Great printing, fast and affordable. No paper jams so far. I had a brother prior to my last HP, and the whole time I had the HP I was counting the days until it failed so I could get another Brother. Very satisfied.

I've had this printer for about a month now and it's been working pretty well so far. Pros: - I've printed maybe 100 or so pages since purchasing it and it has been able to print all my pages cleanly without any paper jams or toner issues. - The ADF scanner works well and has been able to scan multiple pages at a time without issues. - The PDF resolution of the documents I've scanned have all been sharp and clear which I really appreciate. Cons: - Not too big of a deal but sometimes the black and white images I've printed come out slightly darker than I'd like. Overall, I think this printer is a good purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a black & white printer.

Thus far - about 3 weeks - i have thoroughly enjoyed using this printer. It prints quietly, quickly, and with crisp black result. Am still in a learning curve as this replaces a nearly 15 year-old injet printer; but am really thrilled at having a laser printer at so reasonable price!

This printer is fantastic! I have big and small print jobs and it handles it quick and smooth. I wish i hadn't waited so long to buy, I was so tired of messing with my HP printer try to get it to work. 100% recommend.

Fast, quiet printer with easy setup and great home use.

This unit is efficient, affordable and makes clear black and white copies. Its noise level is a bit loud. So far it has been a nice addition to my home office.

User friendly and does the job for my home office without delays

Just bought this printer as a replacement for my old one. Setup is a pain if you don't have a computer. I haven't used it much, but so far the print quality is fine for what I need.

Brother makes great printers that last forever. This one proved to be a pain to connect and install on my Windows laptop via WiFi and even more of a pain to install on my wife's Chromebook. Once installed its a great printer, copier, scanner and is very fast printing.

Excellent print quality, pretty fast and quiet. We are happy to say goodbye to clogged and expensive inkjet cartridges.

I have never purchased a product from Brother before. I've always sought the brands that I've known, used, and therefore trusted; fair and natural assumption. However, in this instance I was price shopping but also needed very specific features and this one was available that checked all those boxes. Now, the Brother brand I've heard before in reference to label makers and the like. But I never considered them for a peripheral like this. So far, after this purchase, the Brother brand will rank much higher on the list of products to consider.

After 12 years my Canon all in one printer finally quit printing. It wasn't worth the cost of repair so I began the stressful search for a suitable replacement in my price range. I sellled on two models so next came the selection of a reliable vendor. I decided on Best Buy for a couple of reasons: They had a good customer rating and they had the geek squad incase anything did go wrong. .When I checked availability they had both models and the store servive was kind enough to go over the differences. I chose the Brother model and also got the 5 year service contract for $35. So far the printer is working great and I hope it will for the next 8-10 years. Best Buy also stocks the replacement toner for the same price as the online suppliers including Brother. Ive bought several other products over the years at this branch abd have never had a complaint.

So far so good. A friend suggested not getting a color printer since we don’t need to print color very often AND color prints on a home, low cost printer aren’t good. This printer gives us excellent results for documents. Easy set up. Avoid the print plan if you’re not printing often; pay attention to the prompts to avoid accidentally signing up.

Purchased this to replace a less than 2yr old dead DCP-L2550DW. The motherboard was dead, apparently a common issue with Brother printers. Purchased this DCP-L2640DW with an extended warranty. I am a System Administrator since 2000, and I've installed, fixed and administered 1000's of printers and always had good luck with Brother printers. Some how my DCP-L2550DW only lasted just shy of 2yrs. So about this new printer, it does not share the same consumables as other models, and its the same exact size as my old DCP-L2550DW. Functions are the same as well. Driver package is a bit like HP where they load ads about their toner service. I like the mobile app that allows you to scan to PDF easily, then you can either email, save to your cloud storage service, or text the file. HOWEVER my issue with this is the scans using the sheet feed are always about 5 degrees to the right. Its crooked!! I opened a ticket with Brother support and no one reached out, not by email or phone, but I did get the survey email. I am not happy about this! Printing is normal, you will not be amazed unless you're coming from an inkjet printer. Speed is on par with a base model laser. Overall I am not impressed with a newer model of the one I am replacing, and not happy with Brother's lack of support and poor customer service.

Been using a Samsung laser printer that I purchased from Best Buy for like a decade. But realized I needed a flatbed scanner/copier. This was a great purchase! I especially like the Eco mode of printing to save on toner, over time. With the constant updates available for this Brother machine, I can see myself keeping this for yet, another decade! I use this for occasional home-use, normally for my dad who still prefers physical copies of things rather than digital.

Great device that focuses on what an all in one should do instead of jazzy screens. It prints well, was easy to setup, and quickly connected to WiFi. It is a little noisier when printing, when but not terrible. It’s perfect for my occasional printing at home without having to worry about expensive ink cartridges drying out.
