Unfortunetly while this thing worked great for the first year, no joke it broke down the day the warranty was up. Less than 2 years after purchase it gives constant error messages and spills ink on the pages. Brother's customer support "helpfully" provided a address two cities away were I can pay to have this junk fixed. I have a better idea, I won't buy anymore Brother products.

Also I started ordering it at Best Buy in the first half of December. But it did not arrive until Dec. 30 th. It’s working just fine except it for the reduced amount of available ink. So printer itself is 4-5 stars.

Posted .Stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge.
