    Triggers Circuit Breaker

    The printer, by default, triggers my AFCI circuit breaker. These are required in new construction. Brother support, after about an hour on hold, confirms that this is a known and non-advertised defect in every printer of this model and gives instructions on how to enable "Low-Power Mode". Brother states that these instructions are only ever given on the phone and will not produce an FAQ on this process. After that does not work, and another hour on hold, Brother recommends getting an even longer extension cord (that I would pay for) than I already had. After this still did not work, and confirming that my circuit breaker was function correctly and it was their printer not operating to modern building code specs, Brother said that there was nothing that they could do ended my case. This product is effectively a lemon and Brother's customer support for a known defect is unacceptable. I would not buy any of their printers until they figure out how to make them work on modern wiring.

    Instructions are not formatted correctly to set up printer. Call the Brothers Number and although Message states, working Remotely. Ha! No one answers phone. Ive been on hold for 2 hours. So now I have a printer that is sitting there USELESS!

    I have been unable to get this printer to work as a wireless device. I wish you would help me with it. I followed instructions the best I could, but neither my husband nor I was able to make it work. Disappointed!

    Wireless sometime does not work well

    This printer works well. The only thing I am not satisfied with it is the wireless. If the machine is idle for few days, when we print it, the wireless is not working and we have to manually set up the wireless again.

    Printer a disappointment; not fully functional

    Several hours were spent trying to set up this printer. First, I walked through the installation directions and without success, tried two more times to install the product so it interfaced with my laptop and the wireless network. I then contacted the Brother specialists who could not get it to work. I finally contacted Best Buy Geek Squad and it turns out there were many reports of issues with this particular printer (most Brother printers work very well!). I was able to return this model for a refund and chose a simpler solution

    Garbage. Lasts for a year and then rolls do not work. Third Brother i bought and broke down

    The equipment was excellent until I had to change the ink. Then it just wouldn’t accept the toner 760 that I ordered. I had to return the printer. I’m getting another soon

    Works fine while it works

    Stopped pulling paper from the tray after about two weeks. One of the gears that raises the tray up to the printer spool stopped spinning for some reason. Contacted support and they told me I have to take it to a certified repair shop that's almost two hours away. I fixed it with a cork and a little ingenuity.

    The printer is good but the ink finished quickly, didn't print morw than 200 pages.

      Stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge.

    Printer is great. However very finicky with wifi and motorola phone. Updates put the printer off line for a day or more.
