GREAT printer, but

All brother printers are ONLY compatible with 2.1G speeds. If you are getting 5G, it becomes a problem. There are work arounds, but this is nothing one wants to hear when you just got a new printer. As great news it is that our current internet provider has gone FAST, it means that several of our rather new equipment require workarounds.

Great B/W printer

This unit does not lose wifi connectivity and is easily found on the network. Scan to PDF is great send it right to my email account I have programmed. Only draw back is scanning is manual does not have an auto feed on this particular unit.

You're going to miss the Auto Document Feeder.

You're really going to miss the Auto Document Feeder the first time you go to scan more than a single page so if you're looking for this to act as your primary scanner and not just as an amergency backup incase your fujitsu or something goes down, you might want to look elsewhere. I do have to say that Brother's new scanning software is way better than it's been in years. So much more intuitive and easier to use.

My new printer

It has been a learning experience setting up my WiFi so I can use it with different computers. I feel there is more I need to learn to fully utilize my new Brother printer. FYI. I am 84 years old and still learning how to use technology! Thank you!
