First, the ADF did not work because one of the rollers was not in place. I found the loose pieces when I lifted the cover and was able to put them in place. After printing test and calibration pages and one other page, the printer displayed an Unable to print 4f. I completed all of the troubleshooting steps, and the error persisted. A call to Brother support resulted in direction to either seek a warranty repair or return the printer. I chose to return it.

We loved our old MFC printer but it was designed to interact with an older wife protocol and kept falling off our network. So I bought this as a replacement and it works great.

Printer quality is average in construction & performance. The quality of the printing is probably below average. Setup is straightforward for wireless.

This printer is good and not good . Easy to setup. Print quality is OK. But scanner is terrible. Ink price $$. Return.

I bought this in February 2024. Issue with low ink already. Need to check with store. It’s a noisy printer.

Going to end up returning this. Makes so many loud sounds and paper gets jammed each time. I've used the good quality paper and cheap one. Neither of them print. They get stuck in the back or in the middle. Didn't work when I needed it the most for my property contest taxes. If I could give it 0 stars I would :(

The printer itself works really well and I could get it working on my cell phone to print and copy/scan to. We needed to use a printer cord to connect a computer though due to the fact that we could not get it connected with our Eero mesh system... something about the security settings on the eero is much higher than what the Brother uses. Just ended up buying a cord to connect via USB.

We need to get a new brother all in one and this was perfect for us, as we also needed a fax machine, it is quiet and quick to install

Good printer/scanner, but wont do duplex scanning while it does duplex copying. What! Store service was pitiful. Printer was buried 2 isles from the printer display. Sherlock Holmes would have a hard time finding it, and there was no help available. Amazon must be laughing all the way to the bank. I guess Ill just stay home and shop online.

When I bought this, I hardly ever use it except once a month just to print a few pages in black in only. However, every time I turn it on to print, it keeps printing blank pages and I had to keep running the "Improve Head Cleaning" and it works from time to time but eventually stopped working. I wasted nearly all my ink doing that every time and now the machine won't print anymore. Just blank pages only. Such a waste of money.

The alignment and print quality on this have been horrible. Lines are always broken and light. Tried auto cleaning and auto alignment, and it always just say "Failed. try again" Based on reviews and articles, thought it would be an excellent long-term investment. Very disappointed.

I printed about 5 pages. The next time I tried to print I got an error 52 message - paper jam. I followed all steps and checked the printer thoroughly. There was no paper jam. I used chat support who told me it would have to be returned as defective.

This is one of the best printers I've used. Print speed is fast and it was easy to set up.

Starting with the unboxing, I must say that it should be done with a bit of care since it does not have some kind of handle to remove the printer from its box, preferably with the help of someone else, the ink cartridges appear once opening the box so it is preferable to remove them before removing the printer from the box. In the included documentation there is a quick guide that in my opinion has many steps to be a "quick guide" besides that it tends a bit to have incomplete or confusing information if you are a first time in this matter. Despite the aforementioned, once the printer is connected to the power source, the small screen gives you direct and simple instructions, easy to understand. Something important to mention is that it takes several minutes to set up so a little patience is required. The initial configuration does not include the steps to connect the printer either by wifi or USB, it has to be configured from settings. Once the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network, the devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network can make use of the printer to, worth the redundancy, print any document wirelessly, which seemed quite practical and useful to me. Regarding printing from a PC in my case, I connected the printer via ethernet directly to the router, on my PC just add the printer in the settings (Windows: Setting> Devices> Printers & Scanners> add printer), I didn't make the connection via USB since the USB cable is not included, if you have the cable, you must download the drivers to correctly configure the printer. Regarding the performance, the prints are clear either black and white or color, in both cases the ink looks very good in each print, it takes a little while for the first print but then the sheets print quickly, even if it is printed on both sides. Regarding copying, it is basically the same, depending on how many documents and their quality is the result that will be obtained. Regarding the scanner, I must say that I do not like at all that accounts must be registered and request unique codes, I feel that it should be more practical, however, once having registered the necessary accounts it becomes easy and practical to scan a document and have them in moments in your phone. In summary, it seems to me that it is a printer with a lot of potential, you can do necessary things from day to day but simpler and faster, it even promises that the ink could last up to a year, the quality and speed of the prints makes it highly recommended for the I use daily at home or if you are a student I think it is perfect, the only thing I see as a con is that the configuration could be simpler since I feel that sometimes it is a bit confusing, apart from this I do not see any other inconvenience, I believe that Brother delivers effective products of excellent quality, I can fully recommend it.
