Ink is too expensive. You can buy a new printer for the cost of the, ink.

I love my new Brother Color Inkjet printer. I only took about 10 minutes to setup, and it prints beautiful color pictures, FAST. It is much smaller than my previous Brother All-in-One printers as well, which is nice, meaning I can put it just about anywhere. Combine that with all of the wireless capabilities, such as wireless home network printing, cloud printing, and cloud scanning, and you've got a really flexible printer that fits just about anywhere.

This printer is a good printer and was fairly easy to setup. I do wish the display screen on the printer was a bit larger as it would make setup easier and menu navigation a lot easier. After going through the process of installing the ink and setting up the network it was ready to go. I was able to print from my phone, tablet and PC. Print quality has been great so far, photos come out crisp and bright and fast. Unlike other printers I've purchased in the past, I've printed quite a bit so far and it seems like none has even been used! It's nice to have a printer that actually has a ton of ink and doesn't nickle/dime you to replace cartridges! Very impressed. While there are some things I wish were better like a larger display and a better App for setup I do thing this printer is good! The ADF works great with a small stack of paper and the duplex printing option is a must have these days with paper being as expensive as it is - not to mention it saves time from manually flipping sheets over and vastly simplifies printing greeting cards! In all, I'd definitely recommend this printer!

Surprisingly good print quality at a good value. Like the small desktop footprint compared to my old printer. White color is fresh and modern-looking. Processes quite quickly. All in all, a nice little printer for home or light business use.

Completely assembled in the box. Doesnt include everything you need to make it work; no printer cable or Cat5 cable. Had fight with the initial setup; running a brand new 2021 Alienware laptop with AMD Rizen chip. The "user friendly" auto setup software had errors and could not determine a repair. Ended up doing manual set up to get connected to the laptop with the USB printer cable. Then attempted to get the printer on the wifi with more problems so had to manually configure that as well; actually worked easier with a samsung phone to connect than the laptop... Additional to the lack of automatic software installation, when running the installation software (totally online by the way so if you have poor or no internet, youre out of luck), the buttons graphics totally dissappear or warp and you have no idea what each button does. I found repeatedly scrolling over the areas will occasionally bring the words to reappear so you can figure out what does what. Once you get all the software installed it works quickly while attached with a usb...there is a major delay between the devices if you queue a job over wifi. It gives an error on the laptop but will process the job and the error will go away. Scanning is tricky to figure out. Be sure to use quality paper. Wife bought 15lb "injet paper" and it is just too thin...printer eats it like old cassette tapes (if youre old enough to remember them). Use 20lb paper at a minimum. Also the avery business card pre-perforated card stock is glossy-ish on one side; it doesnt like that at all. It wont feed properly and the ink wont dry on the side labeled as back. And only run ONE sheet at a time or it will get offset on 2nd & 3rd sheets and 4th will jam. Also it is a very fast printer which can and does cause paper jams. Although the paper jams are annoying, they are easy to clear. Once we get some 20lb paper, will see how it reacts. Pros: the cartridges are very large and so far nearly same price as the cartridges of other printers that are way smaller. Its not terribly heavy and doesn't take up a lot of space.

I needed a desktop all in one for home use and after a lot of research and personal recs settled on this Brother model. It was fairly fast to setup, including downloading the softerware off the internet. This model operates via wifi so could easily be used by a family or a small business with several people needing to use it. This does not come with the cable for a direct connection to the printer, so you would need to purchase the cable if you need it connected directly to your computer. Scan, printer, and copy functions all work easily - resolution and print quality are great. I have not had to fax anything, but it's nice to have the option since some paperwork can only be submitted via fax for confidentiality purposes.

Larger Ink Cartridges And Stunning Color

This is branded as a multiply-hyphenated all-in-one multi-function printer and it lives up to the hyphens (for the most part). It is an inkjet printer/scanner/copier/faxer. And all of those functions function beautifully. But to be clear about the major selling point here, this printer is advertising that it comes with a year of ink included in the box. And, optimized, that might be close to verifiable. But with standard home usage, there is no way you will be getting a year of ink in the box. But I'm not hating on this new ink paradigm. The cartridges here are huge (and they are easily loadable from the front of the printer). Their unrealistic goal for a year of printing is about 1,200 pages of each color (and you double that for their larger black cartridge) - for a realistic goal, divide that number by three or four. And, for color printing, that's still an amazing ink output. As for functions, this is a basic all-in-one printer/scanner/copier/faxer with no surprises. I was able to set this printer up wirelessly in no time at all and it was able to print a ton of cascading print jobs efficiently and effortlessly. There are no ports to allow you to print from memory cards. And there is only a single tray for paper feed (this is a lower-level printer...so if you want to print on photo paper, you need to do a little bit of work). Ultimately, the only things that matter are clarity and speed and cost. I think this printer gets five stars on clarity with a slightly lower 4.5 stars for speed and cost. Brother is well recommended here.

I have had the printer a bit over a year now. No problems whatsoever. The functionality of the Brother software is impressive. For just one example, the print head will get dirty, and there is a function to clean it. Works like a charm. And there are frequent software updates. Brother are really paying attention, and it shows. Finally, ink use / page output is as advertised. The Brother ink itself is not too expensive, and I think (confirm for yourself!) that third party inks will also work (unlike most HP models these days). Overall, highly recommended.

I really like Brother printers and when it came time for a new printer I looked for another one. Who knew that printers wete scarce due to supply chain issues. Found this one online at Best Buy and ordered it. Shipping was fast, setup wss quick and easy, and so far it works flawlessly. Printing is very fast. I have not printed any photos yet so can't comment on that. It's made a little more cheaply than my old Brother, more plastic, but so far I'm happy with it.

Brother's inkvestment printers are a huge improvement from the ink tank printers I have used before. By using a combination of an internal ink tank and larger capacity cartridges, the Brother system maintains familiarity (and easy of refill) with inkjet printers people are already used to. Cost wise, the cartridges end up being not much more than the older "high yield" carts that only printed ~500 pages - but these print up to 6000 per cartridge! The MFC-J4335DW is priced near the bottom end of the lineup and is a great value for a simple multifunction inkjet. For a typical home user this should have about a year worth of ink in the box. I could not find the new LC406 cartridges online but the previous model INKvestment cartridges were priced well as mentioned above. Brother also offers a service where the printer can "phone home" and order new ink for you when it detects you're running low. One thing I really like about this printer is that it includes fax capability at a low price. All of the other printer brands seem to have abandoned fax except in much more expensive models - having it available on an entry level model really makes this a great value for those of us who still need a fax for business purposes. While the MFC-J4335DW is oriented as a wireless printer, I wish it had a wired network port as I try to keep as many devices connected through ethernet as I can. Also, this model continues the trend of having the USB port hidden under a flap sort of inside the printer instead of on the back - so be aware of that if you intend to use it directly connected and are near the limit of your USB cable's reach. Brother's design results in a clean look but adds a few inches to your cable needs. Overall this is a awesome value that does everything you need in a simple home office printer.

Brother ethernet capability and ink vs. Hp ink

I'm very happy with this purchase. I love it's compactness. The loading tray is inside, so I don't have to worry about dust accumulation. Nothing sticks out the top or sides. Wireless tech is optional, I prefer ethernet, NOTE: (the cord for ethernet hookup is not included). The liquid ink version really appealed to me. So much better and cheaper and longer lasting than the sponge ink cartridges that get dry way too fast and cost too much, ( which only has about 150 page capacity). I also chose this computer because it didn't have to have constant wifi hookup to work. The HP printers, which I don't recommend getting, use and waste too much ink. If you read carefully, to get that free ink refill deal, you have to be connected 24/7 via wifi only so they can verify ink usage. Also, using non' HP' brand ink, or using refill sets will mess up your printer...which is what happened to mine; hence, this new Brother purchase. A blessing in disguise if you ask me. I highly recommend this printer...though it costs more, it is much better than any cheaper alternatives....Thank You

Took awhile to refigure settings when we installed an upgraded modem-router, but then again, I'm no techie. Love Brother due to low printing costs, and this one seems to fall in that genre. Copies come out fast and crisp. Much more compact, too, than my previous Brother, which took up precious office space. Price was right too. Like I said, so far, so good.
