I would give a zero if I could. It worked for 3 months and then the paper jam started at every print and now after a year it’s both paper jam and blank prints. For every print, I have to remove the paper jam, clean the print nozzle and the print. Highly frustrating, cannot believe Brother makes such low quality printers. Decided to trash this printer and buying HP or Epson. Best Buy should stop selling this printer if they want to protect their image. I had an HP printer before this which worked great for 15yrs, maybe it’s time to stick with the best.

Very disappointed! Can't get it setup for Wireless, so using USB. Can't get it setup to print from my cell phone. Can't get it to switch back and forth from tray 1 to tray 2. I have had a technician come in and he can't figure out why I can't print Wireless from my laptop or cell phone. As soon as I can afford a different printer, I will dump this one.

Unfortunately, I returned the product because I thought it was a laser printer. I do like Brother printers as they are ink stingy and a good product.

I did not get the Brother printer pictured on this E-mail. I got model# MFC-J1205W. I am not impressed by the model that I received as I perceive that this model is inferior to the model of the Brother machine that I previously bought from Best Buy. This time someone sold me a better model (maybe the model pictured) but then told me that it was totally sold out and I did not get what I really wanted in a printer.

it took long than expected to set up. The programing took lot a time and the instructions were not clear.

A little hard to set up...i was hoping for easy and convenient...but im not an expert at all this new technology

For a multi-functional, stick with HP. Brother has the best laser printers but the color printing leaves something to be desired. And the scan function on this machine is very limited. Unless you have a letter size document to scan, the feeder will eat up too much time jamming.

Easy to use, yet seems to use a lot of ink. I have mostly printed black and white docs and not a lot of them....and the color has all gone down along with the black ink. Ink will never last anywhere near a year which is what I was told, and what it says in the photo "up to 1-year of ink in the box??

Our last 2 HP printers didn't last longer than about 4 years each so thought I'd try this machine. Brand new and wouldn't feed paper properly. Really properly is not correct. It wouldn't feed paper at all. Our first printer was dot matrix back about 1995 and over the years have never had a printer that wouldn't feed paper! I tried all suggestions including different brands and weights of paper and nothing worked. One suggestion was to send a piece of thick paper like card stock through the manual feeder. I tried this and not only would the manual feeder not work, the feeder door wouldn't stay closed. I'd like to be able to review the print quality but it never printed anything. The best part of the purchase was that I got it from Best Buy and their great return policy.

This is a poor printer for photographs. There are vertical lines throughout even after running a full maintenance. It has a nice print speed and is fine if you are printing text documents.
