It takes way too long to scan a document and get ready for the next one and to finish the scanning. hard to set up . Otherwise the ink is a good change to the older one using way too much ink every month for so little copying.

It has served me well and wanted to give to SIL. They set it up and when it goes into sleep mode makes very faint (tone) noise that goes away when you wake it up. May need to call support or just place a bit further from the chair to not hear it. I don't recall having this problem with my printer.

Ink is relatively inexpensive and print quality is good. Also prints two sided. Came with starter set of ink. Set up was easy on my Mac Book and I can print directly from my iPad and iPhone which is nice. Only complaint is this model doesn’t have duplex scanning, but to be fair I knew that going in.

Replaced an Epson workforce, which worked great for 5 years... until we got tired of the cost of ink. This printer's ink is incapsulated, so it should not dry out for those of us who don't print every day. It sounds like a little Brother sewing machine (for those of us who know that sound).

The way the ink replacement program is set up is a godsend and the tanks are SO easy to replace. There are so many features that I would run out of room talking about them. Suffice it to say that, if you want a quality printer at a fabulous price, this is the one!

They are easy to setup, very reliable and consume minimal ink from very inexpensive cartridges. Brother is breaking the business model HP and other companies use for running their consumer printing business. ie Inexpensive printers, costly ink.
