I purchased this printer after returning a similar, older model Brother color printer, the MFC-J497DW. I'm really glad I opted to pay a little more because this printer is worth it. In a side-by-side comparison, the biggest improvement is the touch screen, which I didn't think would make that much of a difference, but it does. The single touch button option to type in my email address just to send a scan was unbearable. This printer sends a 7 page pdf without issue using the document feeder. The last bit was somewhat of a surprise to me as I didn't purchase this printer for photo printing. I used Canon photo paper and printed a 4x6 photo. The image is beautiful, true to color, and is very high quality. I wouldn't have been able to tell that it came from a personal printer and not a professional photo printer. Overall, very happy with my purchase!

Have had it for 1 month and works very well. Easy to set up. makes copies easily. Prints well from the computer. Colors look sharp. And prints very quickly! Is used mainly for home use, and some work use. Fits nicely on desk.

I purchased this printer to connect wirelessly and it did so well. Setup was straightforward. The prints are good. The only drawback sonfar is that I can’t sign up for automatic ink replacement for some reason. Everything else is adequate.

Love the smaller footprint (it folds up into a box when not using the auto feed or paper catcher). High quality printing with auto duplex really saves paper. And so much quieter than my old HP.

Good pricing and shipping. Easy to install and set up. Was able to understand and use the features easily. Experience with printing, copying and scanning quality good so far.

I bought this based on Consumer Reports review and was glad I did. So far the scanning and printing function has been great. Make sure to buy black ink though at the same time as what they send you doesn't print many pages. While I have not printed pictures everything else looks great! My printer is easily found by Iphone, Ipad etc and zero issues printing to it. I wanted to change from HP as I was tired of the bloatware and so far Im happy I changed and went with Brother.

Prints great, easy to set up, stops printing if it runs out of paper or an ink color, and restarts without duplicating a printed page.

Very happy with this printer. Great value but going through ink faster than I wanted. Small cartridges so do your research to see if this printer is for you. Overall, great product, fits the space I have for it and the printing is clean and of good quality.

Our second Brother wireless printer. First one lasted almost 6 years -- ink issues. New model has smaller screen. Set up was straight-forward, but some default settings problematic. Good printing quality; has ink saving feature. Nice printer overall for features, performance, and price.

Good price and decent quality. One of the best I found researching low printing costs. Only complaint is small size of paper tray.

This is a good printer –– both printed text and color images are good-to-excellent. My only hesitancy is that when using the factory settings the color images are less intense than I would like. I find that by manipulating the color controls I have been able to produce the intensity that I wish. With the HP printer that this printer replaced, the color of prints were almost perfectly matched to those on my computer screen.

Awesome printer great quality when printing, the only issue is having to make the adjustment in the settings to have pages printed the normal way(portrait) out of the box it prints landscape and its a little tricky getting switched. But other than that its a great printer and pretty fast.

I’ve been using printer made by Brother over 10 years. The value and quantity are both unbeatable. This one also lives up to its name. A friend and brother when I need a quick and good print.

I purchased this printer to replace another brand printer which if it were still available, would have been my choice. So far, I have had 4 episodes of where the printer has went offline requiring me to go through numerous steps to get it to print again. I also had to replace the black ink cartridge after a little over a month of very low amount of printing. If these two factors were better, I would have given it 5 stars.

Clean. Fast. Quiet. Efficient. What more could you ask for?

This brother printer does everything as promised. Just like all all in one printers, it does not master any of them but does them all well. So far the item has been good on ink. The scanning function wireless function and copy function have worked flawlessly. The footprint of this item is relatively small In prices are good.
