I’ve had other Canary devices since they were introduced. Since that time we have used them to view our home when we were away and had a false alarm. The biggest use was when we were selling our house and listening to people. You can set off a siren, you can speak through the device and it saves video in the cloud so you never have to worry about losing a recording.

I did lots and lots of research and reading reviews before I bought the Canary. The main reasons for buying over others was the 12hr free cloud storage and if you want to get a week, it is only 5 bucks a month. The air quality, temp, humidity is kind of a waste since I have a Nest thermostat that gives me the same info. The geo-fencing option is really cool meaning when the last person leaves the house, it auto-arms. Unfortunately my wife and I had to disable this function because it was draining our cell phone batteries. Overall, the picture is good, the notifications are accurate (after I tweaked it) and the app is really easy to use. I'm glad I bought this over a Piper or other system.

It's very quick and easy to set up. The video and sound quality is very good. The wide angle (panoramic) coverage is fantastic for something so small, and well hidden. I purchased this item as a gift to other family members, and they love it too.

The Canary Home Security gave me exactly what I wanted; peace of mind. I can check in on my house at any point in the day, and it does a very good job of alerting me when there's any motion within it's view. Great product and easy to use.

This is a great camera for the start of a security system and for small areas, like an apartment. I haven't had any trouble with it and the video is great. You get the last 12 hours of video through the cloud for free or you can opt to pay a subscription rate to retain video for longer. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

I've had this camera about 3 weeks and it appears to be very good. Resolution is good and picture quality is clear. I had to call customer service when i first set it up while installed the app on multiple phones and they were great. The server did go down on 2 different occasions, once for several hours and the other for just a few hours. I receive notification on a timely basis. Overall a good system.

Wasn't sure how well I was going to like it but quickly feel in love. The auto arming of the system isn't the best but a minor detail for me and for most it will work great.

Perfect for home security. We use it for a nanny cam as well. It's awesome!

Love the camera quality, notifications, and the simplicity of setting up the device(s). Motion sensitivity seems the same no matter what setting it is on, but can’t complain. I get notifications for whenever the motion sensors are tripped, I read reviews on people thinking it’s too much but i’d rather be alerted for nothing than be clueless when there’s actually something going on.

I bought two different brands and the Canary is far superior. Wide angle coverage, great clarity, sends notifications to my phone when there is any sound or movement, and best of all it automatically arms and disarms based on when I leave the house and when I come back in. The only thing that would make it better in future models is if the camera followed the object it detects.

I bought a Canary around 4 weeks ago and have been using it ever since. The first thing I will say is that the setup/installation of the Canary device was by far, the most user-friendly experience of any installation that I have ever performed. It was as simple as signing up for an account, connecting a yellow 2.5mm cable to my phone and setting the Canary to connect to the internet. Kudos to Canary for making a device that anyone and everyone can configure so easily!! One of the most important aspects of the canary is the video. All I can say is that they weren’t exaggerating about how amazing the video quality looks and how wide the camera angle is. For me to set this up in my home, I had to put it in my basement to watch the door that goes outside and the door going to the garage. With strategic placement of the Canary device, I am also able to see the stairs going up to the main floor and this is very convenient to see all at once, with only one device. The results are that I can see when my dog goes upstairs/downstairs and all the action that happens in between. I am also able to see anybody that walks in from the outside or garage as well. It has a sensor that will turn on when it detects movement, which is very reassuring. Another impressive thing worth noting is that at night, I can very clearly see when my dog walks around in the basement, even when the lights are turned off. The night vision works as well as Canary claims. The sound is clear and crisp, for example, when my dog goes downstairs, I can hear her collar making noise, so not only does the Canary provide exceptional video, but it also provides great sound to go with it. I haven’t talked about the design yet, which is sleek and well thought out from the size to the shape - it literally looks like a little speaker or maybe an air freshener. It blends right into the décor and doesn’t stand out as a camera. It’s funny because it looks like it belongs exactly where I have it. It does not look like a security device in any shape or form. The siren is loud (as it should be to scare off potential intruders/criminals) and works well. I don’t use the alarm when the dog is in the house, but thanks to the app, when I go out with my dog, it only takes 30 seconds to turn on the siren feature through the app. The Home Health technology is a nice touch and it reports on temperature, humidity and air quality. I can confirm that the temperature and humidity levels are accurate because I also have a weather device next to my Canary device to measure the accuracy of how well it reads the temperature and humidity. Since I have only had the device for 1 month, I am still baselining the air quality in the basement. The last thing I want to talk about is the app that controls the device. The app works great, displays the videos in high quality and is fast. Canary really did an excellent job on the app. The one disappointing thing for me that is currently missing is an app for Windows devices. I am personally a Microsoft Windows consumer who uses a Windows Phone, computer and tablet. I do have an iPhone too and that is what I am using to control and view the videos on the canary at the moment, but I really hope Canary will develop an app for Windows in the near future. I am going on vacation shortly and I can’t wait to turn on the siren and check daily or wait until I get a notification that Canary sensed something, so that I can get the complete user experience for this amazing product.

Bought this device on a recommendation of a friend. I'm glad I did as it gives me more assurance that no one is breaking into the house and a nice feature is the temperature and air conditions in the house. Especially in the winter months when you "don't" want the heat to quit when your not home.

Easy to setup and excellent quality video. Great for beginners

Good wide angle with zoom capability. It will alarm me with any movement on my cellphone. Clear picture with noise recording.

Works well. Motion notifications are cool. I see the maintenance man working on my apartment while I was at work and saw he forgot to change the AC filter! If it dark though car lights on your window blinds will set off the motion sensor. If your humidity sensor spikes better get home and check for leaking water. Trust me!

Great security camera the sound and video quality is graet

Great quality pictures. but, need to have better manual. they tried to make it cool with non to little manual. want people to figure it out. But, would be helpful. still need to figure out how i can get all of family members phone to be recognized without creating their own accounts... i just want to simply pair each phones and Canary to know that we are home and don't need to go to "away" mode.

Good stand alone security camera. Would like to see more out of the software, especially around what it measures for air quality. Looking forward to updates from Canary.

Used this to replace another product with faulty geofencing features. The geofencing in the canary is reliable and the camera quality is good with a wide field of view. Only 4 stars becuase there isn't an internal or local memory/storage option and the air quality monitor offers miminal details in reports.

I purchase this Security System after seeing it on "YouTube" And was curious if this would work for me, still a little hesitant until I went to my favorite "BestBuy" Store and spoke with a sales associate about the "Canary" and he had nothing but great remarks and details about this product, that being said I went ahead and purchase it.
