I recomend this camera easy to install, excelent app, 5 stars overall

At one point I was unable to sign into my account (through no fault of my own) for a few days - meaning I was unable to view anything that was happening at home. I contacted customer support, and they told me that there was a bug in the software that they were working on fixing. It took them a few days to fix the bug, and by the time I was able to sign in, there was a few days of video that had already expired. Additionally, many features are reserved for paid subscribers of their premium service; not such a big deal except that they've actually taken many features that were free when I bought the product and converted them to features that are now reserved for paid subscribers. In other words, I have access to fewer features now than when I bought the product. Finally, the features that I do have access to are very unreliable. At one point there was a video that I wanted to download (this is one of the features I used to have free access to). In the app, I selected the video I wanted to download, and the app indicated that it was preparing the video for me. The preparation never completed, and I tried a few more times, but eventually my 24-hour window to download the video expired and the video was lost for good.

This is a rock solid camera for keeping an eye on the home. It took less than 5min to setup. My only complaint is being required to subscribe for more than $50 a year to get the full benefits of the hardware purchased. You still get a lot included for free, but the packaging is misleading as many features are only active under a paid subscription.

The video has great quality in both day and night modes. I especially like that the app tells me when someone arrives home or when someone leaves. I use it to monitor my dogs during the day, and am able to yell at them if needed. I also like the ability to see air temp and air quality in the house. I’ve been very happy with the canary so far.

The Canary provides great visibility to almost our whole first floor and monitors room temperature, humidity and air quality. Great features.

I gave this unit as a gift to my son. When trying to set up the Canary he found it had previously registered for use by a previous buyer and then had been returned to Best Buy. The previous and active registration made the unit unusuable. Canary help desk advised that the only recourse was to return it to Best Buy for a different unit. When he tried to return it to Best Buy to exchange it for a different unit he was met with skepticism and questioning. The Service Desk personnel repeatedly denied his return on the grounds of being 7 days past the 15 day limit even though I, as the buyer, am Elite Plus with a 45 day return period. Only his persistence and the intervention of the store manager ultimately allowed for the proper exchange of the completely unusable unit. The new unit appears to be working as expected. Just a heads up for a potentially difficult issue with a Canary unit.

Canary worked perfectly right out of the box easy setup I'm very happy with my purchase. I no longer feel the need to pay a monthly fee to an alarm company.

I bought these after reading other reviews, so I knew what I was getting. However, they are still only a 3 star until the deliver the features that the have promised. Every day at the same time, I have lights that come on for security. Every day they get recognized as movement. Every day I tag them as lights on. It never learns. Recommending only if you are aware of this issue.

Advertised that I didn't need to buy a subscription. However you do if you want to view more then 1 day history.

Excellent camera with online recording options. Will store videos for playback online for 12 hrs at no cost and you can download videos to your computer. Notifies you when motion is triggered while your away or sleeping.

I get to watch my puppies when we are gone all day! Plus I know if anyone is there! Peace of mind! Love that you can opt for free current day or pay for extra time to be able to review! Love it! Might have to get another to view the rest of the house! All done from my iPhone!

Have one of these in my house. It works great, excellent night vision

I love my Canary security cameras. They are easy to set up and the app is easy to load. Videos are clear. Like having the option of a week’s storage or paying for a 30 day storage.

Canary is pretty handy as long as you have good internet connection in your home and on your phone. Google Canary security in buffalo New York theft

Love it. Set up was less than 20 minutes. Great quality of video day and night. I log it just to see my baby while at work. It alerts you when needed and alarm is really loud. I now have 2 of them.

Like the unit so far, wish they would update the firmware/software more often to offer better experience

This combines several functions into one beautiful unit.

I like this camera as it does have good video quality and especially in low light situations. I like the audible siren...get the kids attention...although i'm disappointed that this one doesn't have the two way communication I thought it had. But overall i'm very happy with this product and the service package that comes with it for free!!!
