I had a very specific purpose for a monitoring device. I wanted to monitor motion with video, and temperature in my Motorhome while I am away from it. I could have done it with several devices, and for a lot more money. A smartthings hub, a ST motion and temp sensor, and a Nest camera. I have all of that at home, but that is expensive overkill for the motorhome. This device does it all and monitors air quality as well for just over one hundred dollars. I can't imagin anyone with a Motorhome who wouldn't want one. Every time someone at a campground sees what I do with it, that want one right away. The only issue is that the servers the company uses are very slow. As much as 5 or 10 minutes after motion until you get an alert. This suits my purpose, as I am not concerned about a robbery. It is so slow that you would have great pictures of the burglars after they have already left. I want motion, video, and temp in the Motorhome, and this does it all in a plug and play, inexpensive package. I am very pleased.

I use this to visualize my kids when they get home, and to be able to look into the family room whenever I need to. It's an easy to use device and while I know you can use facetime and other platforms, this is a plug and play device that gives you some sense of security and ability to 'see' in your home.

This is a good little home monitoring system. It needs some updating due to sending notifications while I am home.

Very easy to set up. Great videos are sent to your phone along with alerts. Have recommended one to a friend and they purchased one immediately.

Easy set up. Phone notifications without monthly fee. Also monitors room temp and humidity. You can set parameters for notifications on those. Good night vision.

Easy and quick setup, it almost does it itself. The alerts and ability to control whether you want to sound an alarm or not are cool. Very handy just to check in and see what the kids or pets are doing while you are gone.

This is a great camera. It has remote viewing to see what's happening while away from home and motion notifications to alert you of activity. It's one of few that has a free server to save motion activity. It is easy to set up. I wish it had an sd card slot and two way talk other than that it is great.

The system will record even when you are there so if you don't want it to, set it on privacy mode. Sometimes it thinks your not home when you are so I will get messages saying there is activity. also everyday I get a notice that there is activity when it's only the canary turning on some sort of switch.

I have a canary for my home and I purchased this one as a gift for someone who travels frequently. This system is a wonderful investment and it comes in handy when you get homesick and want to peek in your home.

Reset to lesser sensitivity I'm still getting 20 or more alerts. Wifi takes it off line and I have very high speed Fios (75/75) so it's very bad on reliability. Help desk is useless.

Easy to set up. Great camera. Also have sensor for home quality (temp. Humidity. Air quality). Nice little package

I’ve had mine for sometime, so I got my dad two for Christmas this year. As a non tech savvy person, he and my step mom caught on quick on how to use the app. I like being able to monitor my homes temp and humidity as well, as I have instruments and dogs.

This product and service has many features and is simple to use and setup. It looks nice and is well built. My only complaint is the lack of a web interface for live viewing and timeline review. There is a product website where adjustments can be made to features like when the camera records and alarms; however, live footage can not be viewed online. To view the camera live or view recorded clips triggered by alarm parameters, the iPhone or Android app must be used. I also own a Nest (Drop Cam) wireless security camera, and prefer to use their website to view the camera rather than the phone app. Otherwise, it's a solid purchase.

I had to leave on a trip and didn't want to leave my cat with friends (they all have cats and she HATES other cats!). I purchased this Canary security cam in the hopes that I could watch kitty and apartment while away. It performed better than expected. I watched friends coming over to play with her and feed her and since they didn't know the cam was there I nearly died in hysterics at some of the stupid antics friends displayed in my home. Crazy! The only downside was there was only one-way audio so I could hear everything but not speak to the kitty or my pals.

After having this product for a couple months, it does what I want it to do. Software at times can be buggy where notifications may not be triggered and/or the geofencing doesn't always work (the app believes I'm not home even though I'm home). However, overall the camera functions well.

Works great and picture very clear. Have them in two different states and good way to know what’s happening while you’re away. One complaint is that you need to be near unit to reboot if it goes down. Tough to do when you’re out of state.

Camera for my family room and media room so I can watch what is going on when I am not home.

This is a great alternative to those who are looking for a home security system without added monthly fees. The basic model plan allows you to see several days of video footage, access environmental information, and alerts. Highly recommended!!
