This product immediately caught my eye when I saw it advertised online. I live in an apartment and I'd been looking for a simple security system that didn't involve any kind of hardware or monitoring. This was relatively inexpensive, and was so easy to set up and sync with my smartphone. It has a high def camera and night vision, which for it's price of $200 was amazing. The app itself is super easy to use, easy to see an alert when movement is detected, easy to set on privacy mode when you get home, and if it's on inactive mode, it automatically arms it when you leave the apartment. If you forget and leave it in privacy mode, you can turn it on remotely with the app. However, when you receive an alert and view the recording, there are two buttons across the bottom of the screen -- Sound the Siren and Emergency Call. If someone is in your home, you can sound the alarm and scare them away. However, this is also one reason I rated this a four instead of a five. The placement of the alarm button is extremely inconvenient! If you happen to bobble the phone a little, or use the phone's navigation buttons which are at the bottom of the phone, it's super easy to accidentally set off the alarm. I've done it while at home, and scared myself to death. Otherwise, this is an awesome product.

For $ 50 you cant beat it, works as advertised, really clear video.

Had lots of lagging when trying to view. Have 100mbps x 20mbps internet so that wasn't issue...just didn't seem to be the quality I was looking for based on price. Will end up going with nest camera.

What I like about this product is it’s very discreet and you can view it in anytime live or set up for a subscription to record events that happen very well planned

Don't waist your money on the Canary . Camara kept going off line . And the night vision is bad . I returned the Canary back to BestBuy the next day. ..

This is my second canary. I love this security device as you're able to train it to detect shadows from sunlight to people. Biggest selling point from other devices, is that you get the last 24 hours of video clips for free. And if you want 30 days, you then can pay a fee. But I'm good with the free 24 hours.

I love the fact that I can see what's going on in my house when I'm away. I have teen boys. The canary lets me know if someone is in the house who shouldn't be, or what time someone enters the house. I use this along with another security system that goes straight to the police department. Having it sets me mind at ease.

Camera gives a great quality image, even at night.

This camera has an impressive viewing lens and the app is great. It's a little large and a bit clunky, but it looks great and has a lot of features. Does NOT have two way audio
