Excellent printer for the $$. The print quality and speed are more than acceptable, but the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is the touch screen interface. Mine is overly sensitive, which leads to unwanted touches while trying to go through the menus, and the menu structure itself is far from intuitive. I have many years of IT experience setting up and utilizing PC's, printers, servers, etc. so for me to get lost in a menu means something is very wrong.

So far, so good. Setting this up was pretty easy on my home wi-fi and print quality is solid. I would buy it again and would recommend it to others looking for a cost-effective, relatively low volume print solution.

Love my new MF642Cdw printer. The print quality and speed of printing are exceptional and the unit is great for my temporary office in this assignment. It is very easy to set up and the wireless feature is great. Cannon makes a great color printer.

Easy to setup, easy to connect, easy operation on touch screen. Bought to replace my previous Canon all in one Black/White laser printer which worked great for almost 10 years(still working). Great deal!

This was bigger than I expected. I have to buy a new table to hold it because it doesn't fit on my desk. This is definitely more for small businesses. However, for teachers, this is great for multiple copies made quickly at home.

Super easy to use. I LOVE the display screen. Produces prints fast after warm up and prints are crystal clear. Setup instructions were a bit challenging but manageable. I would absolutely buy this product again. I love it!

Got this for small work and family use around the house. Has worked perfectly. Only complaint is obviously it's more business orented and the software is not the easiest. But works perfectly on the cloud and computer once setup.

2 stars because it prints well other features not so well. Got this for my home office. It had the features I was looking for, color laser printer, doc feeder, copy, multimedia inputs and scanning among others. It has only been one problem after another. The scanner, one of the selling points for me has never worked consistent, it has hardly worked at all. It freezes almost every time then nothing else will work so I have to shutdown everything and start over. That is really frustrating, I need to scan and send docs a lot, I have reached the point where I brought out my 12 year old ink jet to do my scanning (not a Canon). What a pain. Can't even get ink levels to work on the Canon. Yes, I have researched every driver and software on Canons site, installed, uninstalled, reinstalled but no luck scanning. Print outs look good, copies look good, everything else is pretty bad. I would not recommend this printer.

Love this printer. Easy to setup (home use). Bought this to replace HP C309a (10+ years old). Fast print and scan. Not heavy user so can't comment it for that type of user.

Thus far Im quite pleased with this printer. It replaced a Dell color laser which was no longer supported by Mac OS's latest update. AirPrint works well with my handheld devices though my laptop tends to think the devices is constantly offline. To date, I am still a bit annoyed with the offline bit but its a much better printer over dell. Cheaper than a inkjet over the long run if you don't print regularly and your ink is constantly drying out.

We work from home with regularity and this is really nice to have. We used to have 2 printers: one BW and one color inkjet MFD to cover the various functions. We needed ink all the time and it was always different and I hate dealing with ink issues. I love the convenience and reliability of a color laser and the setup for this has been super easy and it’s running well. I’d buy it again, but recommend to folks that you need spare toner for all colors. If one runs out it won’t print for ya. This is only based on one day of usage.

I really like this printer for the money. The color comes out looking really nice. Probably not professional quality but great for business needs. I was worried, and a little upset at first because I obviously received a returned item. The packaging was off, it wasn't taped and there was paper in the tray. However, it seamlessly connected to my network and was up and running in minutes. I've had no errors and can easily print from my Chromebook or phone. I do not have Windows computers so I did not install any software. I did install the Canon app and it is so easy to scan to my phone or email from the app! The duplex printing is a great feature-I use it all the time. This was really a great value! I recommend it.

I bought this as a replacement to my last work Canon. It does all it purports to do. Quality of prints is good. Only real complaint on this one so far is that it struggles to connect to a mesh wifi system, and/or the computers struggle to connect to it. Also, since new macs don't have CD ports, the installation process is a little difficult. spent a couple hours with customer support getting it set up.

I've always wanted a color laser printer at home, but they've always been priced WAY out of my range. This is the first color laser I've seen that comes into a price-point that doesn't seem insane. I've been so pleased with the speed and quality of this printer, I don't think I could go back to HP. Canon has pleasantly surprised me. I haven't had to change any of the toner cartridges yet, but it has separate cartridges for each color (CMYK) so it should be relatively easy when the time comes. This also doesn't suffer from ink dry-out like EVERY HP Ink Jet I've used. It warms up quickly and pumps out prints in no time.

We've had the printer installed for just a couple of weeks and so far so good. Setup was fairly easy. The quality of the printing in color and black and white is great. It does more than we need. I wish it was easier to setup scan-to-email but you need an email server for that and our little home office can't justify the ongoing subscription costs for such a service so we're using the very primitive scanning software that you can install on your computer.

As a printer and copier, this is terrific. As a scanner, intending to send files to your email, it was a nightmare. I had to look up videos on YouTube to figure out how to set up a significant amount of steps to allow that to happen. You can also have something scanned and saved on a memory stick, which is much easier. Overall, I'm happy with it but be prepared to search online for better videos if you want to set up some of its more complicated features.
