Great for basic office jobs
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laser after getting tired of the inkjets having issues. This printer is pretty high quality for the price. I have owned it a year and print a few pages at a time, regularly. However the issues we have had are: 1) Our mac is split into 2 sides (2 people each have their own account. The printer seems to have an issue with the scanner in that it won't work for both accounts. We have to keep "setting it up" by removing and adding if we switch sides we print from. takes a lot of time. 2) we have had to remove/add the printer itself to our mac a few times. It just stops working..... the printer is fine, but for some reason it stops being able to communicate with my mac (probably due to updates). PRINT QUALITY; fine for printing out papers. However, I just printed out some nice labels I spent 2 days designing for gifts, and despite the images being sharp and full of color on-screen, they were dull and lifeless in print. Terrible!!! So overall, the great thing about it is the ink doesn't dry up and you can keep using the printer. the bad thing is there are still tech issues with it despite being a relatively expensive canon product.

Good copies from a low cost laser color printer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fairly easy to set up and use. One issue I did have was after downloading firmware updates, the printer wouldn’t recognize my computer. After spending time looking thru the manual, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the printer on my computer. So far, no more issues. I am pleased with the quality of the copies and scanned images. For the money, I would highly recommend.

Good but you get what you pay for
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works, but it's not great. You get what you pay for. The quality of the color printing is very good - better than a color laser jet for sure, but the interface is a nightmare and the self-feeding function doesn't feed the paper in straight for copies or scanning. The desktop software for this is not user-friendly either. Still, I'm glad I bought it but wish it was better.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing it is missing is the ability to make double sided copies. It does print double sided but does not copy double sided. I really miss that. However, it works better than any printer we have ever had and the quality of the print is amazing!

Good Printer, not the easiest to set up
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good scanner, copier and printer. Connected to my Win 10 laptop without an issue. Connecting it wirelessly to the Mac took much longer, Canon's instructions for the Mac are a bit vague. we did get it to connect after 2 days of trying and it works well for both now. I had my figures crossed as some of the reviews I read prior to buying it mentioned connection issues with Apple products, but once we figured it out, it has been a good machine.

Excellent printer for documents
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent printer for documents and fast. I would give it 5 stars, but printing photos on photo paper, doesn't cut it with a laser. Documents are fast and print quality is superb. If you want to print photos on regular paper your fine, photo paper, no, hold on to your inkjet for photos. Otherwise very happy with my purchase. So far over a month and original toners are still okay.

It is so bad, Mac users beware!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give it a zero if I could, I've had to reinstall it over and over, I use a Mac. It is supposed to work with it, I've called support enough times the number is programmed in my phone. I can't scan to email, scanning is a challenge, printing is a challenge, it will only print double sided from my Mac. I bought the same printer for work and home. I wish I had gotten them returned in time, but I couldn't wait for one for work to be delivered. I ended up getting a HP laptop windows 11 to freaking print from, I literally have my work email on it and nothing else. I'm a Mac user through and through, windows is going to the dark side. I don't care for it.

Overall, happy with the purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. Print speed, print quality and footprint are all as expected. I experience the same issue as others of having to select the print tray for every print from my computer. However from my phone using the Cabin app is fine. A bit of a nuisance, but since the printer on my desk, not a big deal. Also, the network disconnect/reconnect issues I believe are likely from a dynamic reconnect on my network and not a Canon issue as I had the same issue with our Epson Workforce. Which also causes periodic beeping when the printer reconnects to the network in the middle of the night when rebooting. Overall, decent color laser printer for the $$$.

Happy after a year of use
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great printer, easy setup and quality copies. Scanner works with Windows 10 and Macs and the quality of the PDFs are great. Easy setup after downloading the latest software and drivers from Canon. Tray is fine, may feel a little bit flimsy if you remove it and I wouldn't drop it or you might break it. Envelope feeder is okay, only wish it had a feeder that was more than one at a time. Overall we have been very happy with it and after having issues with HP printers, I give it 5 stars. We have had it for almost a year and so far, so good.

Canon Wirless All In One Printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a learning curve that I am still working on but the printing is awesome. It seems to be touchy about different types of paper weights and I have not figure it out yet. All in all I am very pleased with it. I only wish it had a manual to sit and read rather then looking it up on line. Call me old fashion but I am a book type person for learning new things. I would buy it again.

Affordable all function
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheap but it has all the function - wireless, all in one, color laser and topper. I set up with my gmail account as sending smtp server and I can send the scans to my email directly. Never require to connect USB. Also I can use topper for scanning multiple papers at once!! Some cons : slow, big and heavy. printing speed is slow and all the other kind of operation are slow.

Good Printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems to work really good so far. It was easy to set up for one computer, but I haven't got it to work on the other one yet. I like the way it scans documents. It prints clear documents like taxes, etc.

Great office printer, but isn't User Friendly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Printer once it is set up. Setting up is a process and sometimes the printer can't be detected, so the setup process is delayed longer. It also needs a static IP to connect to or else you would have to reconnect it again. It's a little troublesome, but once installed, it's a fantastic printer. Prints fast, scans fast, prints color, and overall toner usage is cheaper then ink.

Caution - Does Not Support Double-Sided Scan/Copy
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic printer and scanner. **BUT** the scanner does not do double-sided scanning and Best Buy fails to mention this anywhere on the product page. To be fair to Best Buy, Canon also fails to mention that it only supports single side scanning on their product page as well. Still, it's pretty ridiculous that this behemoth doesn't have the ability to do double-sided scan or copy. The added steps required for scanning multi-page double-sided documents is not the least bit efficient and feels like something that people in 2021 should not have to do. Also, the companion app is very clunky and doesn't have the most user friendly design. Using on a MBP, I use Apple's native Image Capture app and that is much easier to use. Print quality and speed are excellent. Scanning/Copy speed and quality are also excellent...as long as you're only doing single sided. Wireless printing has worked flawlessly so far with Macbook and Android Mobile. Poor companion app and lack of double-sided scanning are significant detractors though.
