Have had this for eight months now. Right after purchasing it, I wondered if I should have spent slightly more to get a similar model that supports duplex scanning. But I haven't had to scan anything double-sided since then, apparently I don't need it after all. I have been using it to print from Windows, OS X, Android, and iOS. The only caveat I have run into is that on OS X the printer is often listed as "offline" when it is just in standby; but after setting up the printer in OS X by manually entering the printer's IP address, I have not had a single problem.

I bought this for customers and students to quickly use in my coffee shop. It is temperamental when printing from my laptop. I can not print to the Canon from my phone and even after downloading Canon's special app, it still will not print from my phone (I also have an old HP and have ZERO issues). The kids dont want to waste time finding and downloading the driver. And as a heads up, it does not come with a cord to print wired. It does print beautifully. We print off recipes and make copies of our menu, and love that the laser printed copies do not bleed if they get wet. Not worth the price though for the connectivity issues (which after reading up, are a consistent issue with this brand).

This is a great printer, though it is definitely not going to be easy for someone who does not have some experience with business class printers to set up and use. It has lots of features, and takes some tuning to get the color profile matched for printing photos. However, photo printing is not it's purpose. Prints graphics really well, scanner works flawlessly.

So far, so good. Setup was easy, printer works as expected. Has all the features a small business or home office would need.

Been wanting to get a laser for years now, finally pulled the trigger. Cost is a little scary but as long as these toners last as long as people say, should be worth it in the end. This one works great for my needs as I print a few shipping labels everyday. No need to change out the paper every time, I just stick it in the front feed and off we go! Also, I use sublimation in my business and this puppy can use Ghost white toner. Haven't bought it yet, but when I do I'll update my review on how it goes.

Good value color printer for light office duties. I don't like the non user friendly scanning feature in which you have to put one page in at a time instead of autofeed. I hope I am mistaken about the operation of this feature. Color business center for the cost of a black & white machine.

It’s a nice printer and prints well. But it’s a little loud!

It produces fast, beautiful images. It was easy to set up. It was slightly larger than I expected...it barely fits under my desk.

I was ready to throw my inkjet printer/copier/scanner out the window as the ink kept drying and therefore, I could not print. I had returned to Best Buy to purchase, once again, MORE ink, when the salesperson recommended a laser printer. I knew it was a good idea as laser doesn't have printer heads that dry from infrequent usage. I was surprised to see a color laser all-in-one printer for under $300. I was happy to purchase the Canon printer. It is wireless, easy to set up and has been doing a great job so far - I've had it now for less than 2 months. I'm happy that I made the change.

Got this for the wife who started a new Lash Business. See has printed over 200 pages and scanned 100. Works so far like a charm. Easy to use once I set it up!

I've used it a few times in my classroom. My biggest concern is how noisy it is. But it seems to print well and scan well.

We were replacing a Dell laser printer that stopped working well. I did a lot of research before buying this Canon and I am very happy with it. I took into consideration the cost of toners for it. I am thrilled with the fact I can tell it to print on both sides of the paper and not have to get up and turn the paper over to print on the back. It's a sharp and clear print that it does. With the base price being so reasonable, the extended warranty was reasonable so I also bought it.

Surprised that I was able to find a color laser printer at such a great price . It is a little larger than I expected but really does the job!

Great printer easy setup quick print directly from your device. Although this I really not a photo printer, it does a great job on photos as well.

I have wanted a color laser printer for years but size and price have always been an obstacle. This printer is larger than 'just a printer' but it does it all. You can't beat the price either. This is in the same area as a good quality inkjet but it's a laser. No more smudged pages from sweaty hands or spilled liquids. Picture quality is amazing too. I can't say enough good about this machine.

The printer makes GREAT copies, output quality is very good, BUT normal text (10pt Times/Arial font) are VERY thin and hard to read (driver most likely the cause). Also renders web pages oddly, omitting portions of the page that my 15+ yr old HP LaserJet print without issue (again, suspect driver issue). Warm-up is really fast, wifi printing works well from mobile devices without any painful setup, scan-to-PC with a touch from the front panel is a real time saver. At the price point, why buy ink jet, only to have colors run out while idle? BUT - no FAX - read the fine print on the box! Unit looks and is packaged EXACTLY like one that DOS OFFER FAX.

The Canon Image Class MF642Cdw replaced a Canon Inkjet multi-function printer. To date it has performed exceptionally. We have printed over 500 pages mostly double-sided and is about to finish up its first black toner cartridge. I have scanned multiple documents and the clarity is excellent. We chose this printer because it is a laser that prints color and can scan. I'm not sure there is a laser printer out there in this price point. We have only had this for a month so I cannot comment on its durability.

So far it's working great, I've even been able to print from the app on my phone. This has been a really great printer and really easy to set up.
