works great; replaces older Dell printer; easy to install

I'm really impressed with this printer. The setup was quick and easy, and the print quality is excellent—both for documents and color images. It's fast, reliable, and has been a great addition to my home office. Highly recommended!

I really like this All-in-one laser printer. The scanner makes nice clear scans and the color prints are vibrant and crisp. Lasers are so much nicer as ink jets always seemed to dry up on me. My phone and laptop quickly connected so I can direct print from those other devices. The only thing I haven't figured out is when the unit is asleep connected to my desktop, I have to manually wake it and select the paper. This started after I selected to print in a different paper size format.

We are glad we got the canon printer. It is fast and easy to set up.

I really like this printer. The print quality is great and it functions well. The basic set up was easy, but I've had a little trouble with the scanner. I will be calling their support line tomorrow and I'm sure all will be well. I recommend this printer. It's my first Cannon, and I'm happy with the purchase.

Great quality, easy to install, and easy to print

I love this printer! I had an inkjet that the ink kept drying out. I read the laser printers are much better print, less risk of drying out over time. I use mine sporadically, but when I do I need a lot of documents. They offer but no subscription for toner replacements are necessary. Beautiful print job, easy to use. If I had any complaints it is the touch screen is a little too touchy. And it is heavy to move. I mean, it is an office printer! Despite that, I love it so much more than my other printer!

Wonderful purchase! An all-in-one color laser printer is the best of all possible worlds. No worries about gummed up ink ports when the printer might sit idle for a time. The videos on set-up were clear and easy to follow. We got a Mac and a PC with various periferals set up quickly and easily. For all the benefits the price was great!

I've been really enjoying this printer! I can connect to wifi and print from my laptop. It prints on color and black and white (super fast) though it takes a minute to turn on. The printer itself if pretty large, but it fits well on a tiny square ikea table in our office.

This printer delivers very good images and has sharp printing. The only thing that is a little annoying is how loud it is when printing, but I already knew that was likely to be an issue when I purchased it because of other reviews. I would still recommend it even with how loud it is.

I really like this printer, the speed is great and it is easy to use and set up. However, when using it for any length of time such as printing a set of 30 or more pages, it squeals horribly.

I bought this printer after reading all the reviews. So far it has been outstanding. It is a bit large so I had to rearrange my office a bit but as it turns out, that is for the better plus it gave me a chance to clean things up. Setup was very straightforward, the only issue I had was connecting to my wifi which turned out to just be an operator error on my part. The only issue in the review that had concerned me was some folks complaining that it is pretty noisy. I don't know if Canon had listened to those folks and done some reengineering to solve that issue but mine isn't any louder than other printers I've owned, in fact, it is quieter than a number of them. Printing and scanning is fast and the quality of the outputs is much better than my last Canon printer which, up till now, was the best. Very happy with this unit and the purchase through Best Buy was quick and easy. Printer was ready for pickup sooner than expected and the staff at Best Buy was very helpful with my picking it up.

Our HP printer started printing random solid lines across the page. We tried to resolve the problem, including replacing ink cartridges as recommended, multiple times to no avail. We had always used HP printers until we tried the current Canon model. Our daughter recommended that we opt for a printer that uses toner instead of ink since the potential for print head clogs is less. We found our Canon model on-sale at Best Buy and felt that it was a terrific deal. We are happy that we bought this printer as so far, the print quality is top rate and the printer appears to be high quality itself. Also, I am no "Techie" by any stretch of the imagination, but initial connection to our wifi system was relatively smooth with minimal issues. Again, we are happy with our purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a user-friendly printer/scanner.

This has been a great upgrade to my Brother color printer. Granted there's a slight increase in cost per page, but having an self-contained system that allows me to scan up to 50 documents and an increased capacity of 250 sheets in the cassette makes it worth it for our house. The one caveat that I found with this printer and it's scanning function is that the 654Cdw only allows for 1-sided scanning versus the 656Cdw allows for 2-sided scanning. Not a terrible compromise but I would have liked to just see two-sided scanning in this model versus adding it to a slightly higher model to add an extra "benefit" to moving to the next layer up. That said for the quality, this thing performs admirably. Black and white text printing comes out clean and quickly. I've attached a portion of a full art print and while it will never come close to the vividness of an inkjet, it does an adequate job and better than most laser printers I've tried. I definitely would be comfortable printing out graphic powerpoints using this printer and not feel like I've done a disservice to anyone I'm presenting to as the graphics and colors are saturated enough that everyone should be happy.

Pretty good so far. Over 1 year using it and still kicking it. It is even running with an aftermarket toner. Too large also, but, if you got the space, why not.

It's been a phenomenal printer so far. We needed a printer for a very specific use case. We don't print very often, but when we do, we can easily go through a couple hundred pages. This made our previous inkjet printers very expensive, so we decided to go the laser printer route. Not only is this thing an absolute workhorse when we need it to be, does not dry out, but it's also extremely customizable. We were able to create an email for this printer and setup scan to email feature, there are also a lot of other features for remote and cloud printing and scanning. Add the relatively inexpensive toner to the mix, and you have a really nice machine. I could see where using this daily to print hundreds of pages could be an issue, as I do not believe this is robust enough for such use case, but in our instance we found a great printer. Finally, while it have a lot of great features you can access through a UI, Canon does not force you to use them. In fact, you can set this up in minutes and it will scan and print right out of the box, with very limited technical knowledge required.
