This is a replacement for an HP that became the last HP I will own. I love that this is a MegaTank printer and that I no longer have to deal with ink cartridges. The ink reservoirs are easy to fill with no mess. Once warmed up, the printing is fast and quiet. The print quality is excellent for my needs, with very sharp print on the pages. I did the online setup and found it very easy. The printer was attached to my network as the network default and became easy to share. The only negative is that the screen does not light up.

    Mega Tank Great printer

I'm still getting to know this printer. Thus far I have used it to print many pages and several pictures. The print quality is very good. I'm still figuring out how to print really great looking pictures. This printer has a lot more features than my old one, so, I'm still on a learning curve with it. With all that I have printed, I have barely used 1/4 of the ink tanks. I'm really happy about that! On the down side; it is a bit of a nuisance having to put photo through the back paper feed. Then I have to select the paper source as cassette in order to print on the standard paper once more. Like I said, I'm still learning to use this machine to bring out the best in both of us.

I love the MegaTank on this printer. No more frequent changing of expensive ink cartridges. The windows on the ink tanks allow easy viewing of ink levels. This device comes stocked with plenty of ink, not just the starter cartridges most printers come with. The one thing I don't much like is the display on the front of the device for choosing print, scan and copy options. It is entirely too small and too dark. The print quality is good for an inkjet printer.

A fine printer. So far, the printer, copier, an scanner functions have worked flawlessly. I have not printed any critical photos but the rendering of color photos and illustrations in on-line content seems very accurate and realistic. Now that I have upgraded to a tank printer I feel much more free to print in color rather than relying only on my laser printer for economy. My previous, now retired, relatively new, very low cost ink jet printer had amazingly short ink cartridge life and astronomical cartridge prices and was cleverly designed to balk at accepting refills. Very happy to have a tank printer.

When I can get this machine to print it works fine. We had a difficult time installing the printer. I was surprised to learn from the Geek Squad technician who finally figured out the problem. We have a 5G network but according to the tech most printers do not recognize or support 5G. I found this explanation odd in this 5G world. I gave printed documents but printing photos is difficult because the printer does not want to switch auto to photo paper as the computer has requested. Early days but I am debating a dedicated photo printer. That would be a shame as I wanted to reduce the number of printers with this addition.

This printer is a champ! I am so happy with it. I bought this a year ago and the ink tank is still going! It is now at the half-full mark from when I filled it! Amazing! I print all the time and in color. I keep it on ink saver most of the time, but I have done large print projects. I am blown away! The printer may have cost a little more to start with, but I have saved a fortune in ink cartridges, and the environment, and got a fantastic printer. The printer itself, although nothing fancy gets the job done. It's a workhorse. I am so pleased with my purchase!

Great for the most part. LOVE the refillable ink. Saves a ton of money. About time we see this more instead of getting reamed(sorry dad joke) by ink prices. It's been reliable and cheap to operate. We're a large homeschool family that uses it a lot. Sometimes doesn't play nice with our computers and says it's offline, otherwise it's great.

My only problem is with the size of this printer. I do a lot of printing from the back paper feed and it adds a few more inches to the depth needed so I had to rearrange my work area 3 times trying to find something that works. Other than that, I am very satisfied with the quality of the print. I wish I had learned about this 4 printers ago, it would have saved me a whole lot of hassle and a lot less wasted pages.

I love this printer. It's taking me a bit to learn it since I'm use to HP and the Xerox from work but the prints are amazing. I wish the options from printing, scanning, copying were a lot easier from the commands to the buttons, to the software.

I love this printer! It has a large ink capacity. Over a year later and I’ve only used ¼ of the ink of each of the colors and I use it almost daily. I absolutely love the tank printer and will never be able to go back to cartridges. The value for the dollar is absolutely there. The ink refills are inexpensive when you’re ready to refill, for me that probably about 2 yrs down the road. Haha. It’s 100% worth spending the extra money on the tank printer because you will end up saving on the ink in the long run. No regrets. Also the print quality is excellent. I looked at other brands and for me the pictures and colors always seemed better on the canon pixma.

I love this printer so much. The ink capacity is fantastic. I love the idea of the ink tanks. My only issue with the printer has to do with printing images. The colors come out completely faded. Secondly, the printer is very loud. However, if noise does not bother you and you are generally using this printer for business purposes, this is a fantastic high-capacity printer for the home office.

Canon makes easy to use printers. I love the ink tank feature in this printer. My initial investment is a bit more, however the convenience, length of time the ink last and ease of adding ink, more than makes up for that.

The display is not backlit, so I have to use a flashlight to see what it shows. The setting for printing is difficult to make changes for 1 print. I want to use only black ink for draft copies, and I get a warning dialog box. It stops printing quit often to run it adjustment. It uses more ink than the HP version.

I've owned this printer for almost a full year now. It has been a great investment. Not sure how much I have printed, but I know it is over 1,000 pages and I have only used about a third of the ink. This print quality comes out great. The only downside I would say is that anything that is in the margins seems to only print half the line, but that is a problem with the computer configuration I'm sure. It hasn't been a problem big enough for me to need to solve at the moment.
