I've always had ink jet printers but I've hated the cost of replacement cartridges. When I noticed tank printers I thought I would wait a few months just not to be a beta tester for new technology. I took the plunge and purchased this Canon G6020 to upgrade my home office. I am pleased with the output this unit provides. Good quality black and white, great color reproduction, and very stingy on ink use judging by the level in the windows. Filling the tanks was easy as long as you don't rush the process, and you do get extra tubes of black ink which should last a long time. The only downside I have found is the print speed is a bit slow. But since I don't have to meet any deadlines this isn't a major factor for me. Once I set it up on my home network I have had no problem using it from any connected device, and the only hitch I've had is using it from an iPad I have to remember to force it to print from the bottom feed tray instead of the default top one. I'm sure there is a setting that I've overlooked to fix that issue, but it's no big deal. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

LOVE thiis printer. We had an Epson tank style that we had to warranty the first one. Second one if you didn't use it constantly you'd have to go thru a print clean process as it'd bleed all over what you were printing. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is none of the major printer manufacturers are putting screens big enough to read on these things.

Satisfied with purchase. It took a while to install for wifi use. I had to go through prompts to locate printer but I finally was able to get it going. This does print slow, which is a bummer. But, the prints are great. I also printed a couple of photos and they were pretty good for only 4 inks. I like that the printer stays on so I don't have to worry about running across the room to always power it up. I read some reviews that said it powers down, but mine doesn't. Paper can be used from tray or from rear. Overall, happy with printer mainly because it does produce great prints

My whole life, I have been buying cheap printers and have been disappointed. Most of my printers have never worked correctly, or run out of ink immediately and then you realize the ink costs more than the printer! Well, not so with this printer. The Canon PIXMA MegaTank G6020 comes with so much ink. It will print thousands of pages before you even need to refill it, and even then, it comes with 2 refills for the black ink! Also, it was incredibly easy to get the wireless connected and drivers installed. It did take a little time, so I'd leave at least an hour if you think you can do it quickly. There is a lot to set up. That being said, this is as nice as most printers I've used in offices. I am very impressed by the print quality and I have printed both black and white and color. My only very small complaint is that it doesn't come with a printing cable at all. I already have one, and maybe most people do, but I was surprised by that. It would be nice to be able to have someone able to just hook up their computer if they need to print something, instead of having to go through the wireless setup every time. (Not that it's difficult, but it does take a bit of time.)

This printer prints out great and is easy to use. Definitely better than our previous HP printer! Love how the ink for this printer will be cheaper and the picture quality is better! Perfect for the price and just what we need.

This is the 2nd G6020 ive purchased. It is a good printer. It uses little ink, is fast and is great for photos. The only minus is the printheads are not readily available so after the thousands of paper ive gone thru and needed to replace a printhead it wasnt available in any stores and cannon makes you jump through hoops if they even hanve it available.

I was hesitant about buying a more expensive printer up front. But overall, I'm glad with my purchase, and would buy it again. A few things: PROS: 1. Setup was easy and simple. Took about 15 mins total 2. The prints are clear and sharp 3. I don't need to hassle with ink for a long time. 4. It's duplex functionality is AMAZING. I forgot how amazing duplex is. you save A TON of paper. 5. I'd buy it again if it broke today. CONS: 1. The printer doesn't wake when you try to print. You need to manually turn it on before you can print. It's a hassle, but not a deal breaker. 2. When printing PDF's the printer thinks it's a picture (which it technically is, but I wish you could change that), therefore it tries to print from the back photo paper slot. It then says it's out of paper because you put that paper inside the slots in single sheets. 3. It's slightly slower that others (in my work office). But it's not a commercial printer, so I can live with it. Summary: I like it and I'd buy again. It's higher quality than most in my opinion. I love that I don't have to worry about ink cartridges. Do yourself a favor and go buy this printer. You'll be happy with it.

I decided a need a printer now that I wok mostly from home, and I researched a lot of reviews and compared prices and delivery options. I found that the ink tank type printers, though more expensive to begin with, save a LOT of money in the long run. I searched Amazon, and then Best Buy, and this printer had all the features I wanted for a decent price, plus Best Buy could deliver it to me the same day! So I was already happy, but nervous about the set up. But low and behold, the set up was pretty easy, especially with the videos to follow. Then, I started using it. First day, I printed more than 400 pages, and though it's slow on big double sided jobs compared to the big printers at the office, it got the job done well--the print quality is as good as it would have been in the office, and I didn't have to make a special trip just to print. I haven't tried photos yet, but the pictures in some of the documents I printed came out very well! I am just giddy about this printer!!!!

Didn’t want to buy printer at first bc of the price. It prints incredibly fast and doesn’t take forever to turn on. I like that it can print stuff from Apple print and Canon print. Easy to set up and it was easy to fill the tanks. Gets the job done. Highly recommend this printer for home usage.

Previously had a Canon Laser printer that conked out after 7 years. Was very happy with it, now retired and need just an occasional printer. Stayed with Canon for reliability. Chose the Mega Tank for lower cost per page. Set up was no problem. Just followed the instructions exactly. Carefully loaded ink. Went to Canon's site to initialize the printer. Hooked up to our wifi, and set up our Macbook Air's to print. No problem. The only issue seems to be it shuts off after a while, so to print you need to turn it back on. We will see if there is a setting I can adjust. After 1 day of use, very happy.

This is the first tank type printer that I have owned and I think it is a great printer. All of the previous ones were the ink cartridge type. This printer performs great without any problems. This is also the first Canon brand printer that I have owned and the quality seems great. All of the previous printers I have purchased were HP brand and they work for about a year or two then start developing problems. The last one would make a grinding noise every time the printer was initially turned on and when it was shut down. The previous HP did that also so I thought it was time to try another brand. I am very happy with this printer.
