Economically seems like a no brainer just wonder if i will have to replace those print heads after some time and there is some expense i haven't accounted for. otherwise pixma is a superb product...

First time owning a tank type printer. I am pleased with the capabilities of the printer. Love that now I can do a lot of printing and not have to replace cartridges. I actually use more black ink than color ink. This printer came with a total of three large bottles of black ink. Being able to actually see ink levels is a big plus.

we are still trying to figure it all out but we love that it is so good with printing pictures and that it is still not out of ink so far we have done more photo type printing and my biggest complaint is its suppose to do duplex printing it prints one side and then jams when it pulls the paper back in the colors are not as vibrant as we originally was hoping

Easy to set up, easy to use, holds TONS of paper at a time. Very responsive, never any problems. Other than not having backlit screen for menu, it is perfect.

This printer refused to connect to my home network. I've been computer savvy for over 20 years and I know how to hook up a wireless printer. Never did get this Canon model to connect. I also thought I could overlook the tiny display but it is very hard to see with aging eyes. It required me to use readers to read the display. I decided to try the other leading brand with the large display. I was up and running very quickly with no hiccups. I've always used Canon products for my printing needs but this model was a huge disappointment. EPIC FAIL!

Once i figured out out how to use and set up works great.

Never worked right from day one. Despite trouble shooting and doing all support options, there were always lines in the prints if the bottom feed tray was used. Right after the warranty ended, it started alternating between yellow and blue inks no longer printing despite being full and doing regular cleaning. If you try to do the deep clean option, it gives you an error code that says the ink cartridge is faulty even though it’s a refillable tank with their approved ink. Now it looses contact on the third print job before seizing up entirely and needing to be unplugged and restarted in order to reset because all of the buttons stop working.

I love being able to fill the tanks and not having to worry about ink cartridges that count the number of prints you make and won't let you print after you meet the set number of prints. The only issue was setting up the wireless network. Automatic was not friendly. Had to setup network manually.

very fast printing. color quality also good. I like wireless.

Prints so show. Literally, was not able to return it on time, because I was waiting on it to finish printing what I couldn't do without for that day.
