This printer has given me nothing but trouble since purchasing. I spent a lot of time researching printers and loved my old canon printer so I went with this model. First, the lcd screen is impossible to see. I have to shine a flashlight on it just to read it. It always turns itself off no matter how long it’s last been used. What use is wireless if I always have to go to the printer to turn it back on to connect. Then it only started printing some colors. Just yellow and black and not just magenta and black. I had to update software, clean it, run deep cleanings, several ink dumps, and test after test just to get it work and still I have trouble and must repeat all this often. It also always refuses to print saying there’s no paper in the rear cassette no matter if there is paper there or not. If it chooses to print from the rear, it loads crooked and always jams. But if it thinks theres no paper in the rear cassette, it just won’t print and there’s nothing that can be done to solve this problem. I can try anything but it won’t print until it somehow decides on its own it’s ok with whatever paper is there. There’s no reason but it just won’t work. It is completely unrealizable and mostly useless and I’m so disappointed and I’ve only had it a few months.

TERRIBLE!!! Spent 3+ hours trying to connect this printer to my HP Envy laptop. No success after 7 tries. The setup software doesn't work. The real treat comes when trying to enter a password on a printer that doesn't have any kind of keyboard. If you like frustration, repeated unsuccessful connection attempts, and wasting hours of your time then this is the printer for you. Otherwise, avoid this thing like the plague.

Got rid of the old HP when ink prices shot through the roof and they locked out 3rd party inks. This little Canon seems like a better fit for my needs.

Good printer for photos just prints slow if printing a lot. Will keep it and see how well it is over time. First time purchasing a canon.

This was an upgrade from my G4210. I really like it. The display panel on the front is much easier to read. I like having two paper sources and automatic printing on both sides. I also like the auto power on when something is sent to print.

I love Canon printers & can usually set one up quickly, but this one took a few hours. Set up took longer than a printer with a snap in ink cartridge. The ink has to be poured into 4 separate tanks, Comes in a bottle that you need to turn upside down and place over the small hole to wait to empty out. Spill just waiting to happen. The area with the screen is not easily visible. For such a large printer & much higher price than a non-mega tank, the screen could have been bigger.

Good printer. I like we do not have to buy cartridges/ The ink wells are the way to go.

I am very happy with the Cannon printer. I am hoping that the inks do not run out like my HP printer cartridges.

Love it. Efficient and fast, only complaint is the ink runs a little when you highlight or something over it. But for the price of replacing the ink, I don’t mind at all.

Great printer at a great price, but it can only scan one page at a time. There is no automatic feeder.

Printer is really efficient . I wished it had a photo paper tray.

This printer is a good fit for us. We are retired and just use the Canon occasionally. I do like the idea of not having to buy cartridges. The ink that came with the unit should last us for quite a while.

EVERYTHING WORKS WELL EXCEPT DISPLAY WINDOW VERY DARK AND PRINTING SMALL. I USE A FLASHLIGHT TO READ.

Easy to set up. Surprised w hen I opened the box and found that they included 3 bottles of black ink. Merry

Excellent copy machine to be utilized from the home. No cartridges needed just refill ink wells.It is a very dependable machine and it reasonably priced.

Printer works as expected. Color pics not as bright as expected. Overall ink is an economical advantage.

You will eventually end up with a 1700 error or 5b00 error. Make sure you get the full 4 year warranty from best buy. We made our last one fail within 2 years and had a bunch of ink left, so we bouth another one. This flaw that these have is not minor. It renders the orinter useless and cannot be used untill error 5b00 is corrected. It could easily be addressed but Canon did not make it easy for consumers to easily change out a absorber ink pad and reset the aborber counter. I actually opened up the last one and it was no where near full. So I assume it has a ticking time bomb counter and no sensors what so ever that actually measures how full the absorbers or waste reservoir is. Hey, it does a good job while it works. The sheer malice behind making a product destined to fail on you is corrupt and worthy of a law suit.

I am happy with this Cannon printer. I had one before, wanted another Cannon to continue printing photos beautifully.

So far this product is excellent! Best Buy configurated our 3 laptop computers to print to this for us &, although we've only had this for about a month, it's great! No problems at all so far! We wanted a printer that did not require ink cartridges!
