Easy to set up, great colors, WIRELESS!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First time purchasing a wireless computer. The set-up was very easy and had it up and running in less than 15 minutes. Prints in both B&W and color and works great. Even connects to my iPhone and iPad!

Decent printer, great support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this printer for a couple years, it's worked well. I like not having to constantly replace ink cartridges. WiFi connection sometimes is a weak point, it seems to go offline more than the HP. But Canon wins for great customer support. When there's a problem, you can call them and get an actual human being who will walk you through a solution.

G6020 printer setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was fairly easy to set up. Still trying to figure out different settings for different printing scenarios. Overall a good printer. Still a little confusing. Could be a better package with a more detailed user manual.

Hope it lasts longer.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far performing well. Like the ink tanks vs. the cartridges. Last Canon with tanks lasted a little over 3 years. Hope this one does better. Ink absorbers are built-in obsolecence

Overpriced to compensate for cheap ink?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No 5GHz wifi capability, this meant it was useless on my home network as it couldn't distinguish between the SSID broadcasting on 5GHz and the one on 2.4GHz. Common practice on today's mesh networks (e.g. Netgear Orbi and the like) is to use matching names here. It's a shame that Canon's brand new model can't handle this. Instead I had to revert to pairing via WPS which was eventually successful. Setup of the unit as a whole is clumsy at best. I'm coming from an Epson XP-830 (3 years old) that had a touch screen built right in to it on which you can do anything you want to configure the device. The Canon has no touch screen, and instead a 1990's dot matrix LCD display. Similarly, the Epson XP will automatically roll out the paper tray when printing begins whereas I've got to remember to run over and flip out the catcher for the paper on the Canon. It lacks an ADF which, for purposes of an office machine, is a pretty poor decision on Canon's part. On the plus side, the ink filling was 100% spill free which surprised me given this was my first "megatank" printer. As far as picture quality goes my wife (pro photographer) and I have always loved Pixma printers, but this one is definitely not in the same league as those we've had before. See the photo; on the left is the Epson XP-830 and the right is the Canon G6020. Same paper, same "plain paper" settings when printing, nothing else changed. The bottom photo for each is "Automatic" setting for quality, the top photo is "high quality". Notice how the Epson is almost identical for both, but the colors just get a bit more true-to-life in 'high quality' while the Canon simply washes out to something more akin to "draft mode" when set to "automatic". While the Epson XP isn't a megatank, the experience and output is far better than this Canon and, to boot, it can fax (if you're in to that sort of thing)

Great printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer in the midst of covid isolation for my kids. It's still going strong. I love that after sitting there for anything over a day or two I don't have to clean the heads to get out to print correctly again, like other printers.

Disappointed based on previous reviews/
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen is not lit so be prepared to have a flashlight near by. Had to move it from the shelf where I had kept my previous Canon MG5520 because in operation it chugs and shakes and the makes everything on the shelving unit vibrate. Was a pain to connect to both my laptop and my desktop (it still keeps coming up "offline" intermittently on the PC. Had to delete the backup printer from both computers to get this to work. Print seems ok but also much slower than the previous, and much cheaper, printer. All-in-all would not have purchased if I knew then what I know now

Not So Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality of pictures compared to my old canon are poor, the ink tank deal is better but they still dry out if you dont use the colors, my printer stopped printing from the cassette all i get is a error code and to load paper and it only a year old.the software is sparse and horrible compared to my old printer !.....i kept my old printer i think i may go back to using it its way more reliable and works way better without fuss !

Perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the greatest things I've ever bought in my life. I am nowhere close to running out of the first set of ink. It is absolutely wild. Everyone should switch over to tank printers.

Good for hobby photo printing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this printer exclusively for printing 8.5x11 photos. It can print them borderless. This is an excellent photo printer for the cost per print. I'm not a professional, just a hobbyist, so this printer suits my needs perfectly.

Cannon Fodder
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Usually we've found that Canon makes well thought out & quality products, well not this time. It took us three different lengthy attempts to get it hooked up to WiFi, the photographic print quality is poor, and it is too big (its desk top footprint is much bigger than the HP printer it replaced). And while on the Canon website trying to figure out hooking up the WiFi I read a plethora of reviews stating that although its supposed to last 4 years and the supplied ink 2 years, after only 1 year it stops working and you get a error message mandating a factory service that costs more than a new machine (granted that's hearsay but a lot of different people had the exact same thing to say so there must be some truth in it and hence its worth mentioning herein, especially if other will make a buying decision based upon only initial experiences with this machine and not long term ones, when this machine is marketed as a long term machine).
