    I am very familiar with Canon printers. In fact, this printer is replacing an older model (Pixma TR8520.) Except for the software installation the transition was painless. Both printers use the same ink cartridges, and the functions were similar.

    I hate printers, and this printer made me almost not hate printers. In all seriousness, this is the best printer I have ever used. Got it because my previous one would not connect to anything. Within 5 minutes this printer was set up and I could connect to it from any device. No problems printing color, and absolutely happy with my purchase! The one knock to it was I think I got a dud black ink cartridge as it smudges easily, but I'll be checking that out!

    I have had trouble with the output tray and the rear input paper tray. Both are broken--I don't know exactly how or why they are broken--but they are both made of flimsy plastic. I am thinking of replacing this printer with a model, perhaps by Epson, which I hope would be sturdier and be able to accommodate bigger paper media. (I intend to use this printer for producing photographs--much larger than the 8.5 x 11 inch photos which I currently make and sell. ) Suffice to say, I am not a happy camper.
