Q: Does this have auto duplex printing and scanning?
A: Does have duplex printing, i.e. can print on both sides of a page automatically from a word processing document or web page. Does not have duplex scanning. Don't know if there is an easy way to make duplex copies.
Q: what ink cartridge does model use tr8620
A: The 8620 uses #281 for the small cartridges and #280 for the big black one. Please note that the cartridges for the 8520 will not work in the 8620 printer. I tried that. Some 3rd party sellers on Amazon claim that they work for both printers. They don't.
Q: Do the print cartridges come with this printer or do I also have to order the print cartridges?
A: Yes. They come with cartridges
A: Indeed it does. I got a new iMac this summer with Catalina as its OS. Apple did a download updating Catalina to Big Sur. That update rendered my old Canon printer obsolete. Chatted with Canon on line and they were very helpful to recommend their "All in ones" that were compatible with Big Sur OS. My previous Canon all in one was 11 years old and still worked fine. Q: Can this print on cardstock... like 80#?
A: Yes I have not had a problem printing fliers on 80 lb card stock.
Q: Is the printer designed with a usb port for scanning?
A: Yes, it has a usb hookup as well as the lan connection hookup.
Q: Does this machine have faxing send/receive capability?
A: Yes, it shows that it has fax capability but I haven't used the fax so don't know how well it works.
