Stay Away From Canon
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stay away! Not sure if it's just this printer, but it feels like it could be Canon as a whole. Printer works fine, and shortly after our warranty ends the "ink absorber is full". Googled it and it is a pretty easy fix to clean ink absorber pads. Except even when you clean them, the printer software says they are full and eventually just stops working. Talked to Canon and said all I can do since I am out of warranty is buy a new printer. I asked if there was any way to factory reset it and they said they couldn't. SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY. Printers should definitely last more than a year. Definitely stay away from this printer, and probably Canon Printers as a whole.

Great photo printer, good multi-function features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon - Pixma TR8620 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer is a solid multi-functional printer that does it all in a fairly compact footprint. It can be a good addition to any home or small office or nowadays a work-from-home situation. I’ve owned many laser and inkjet printers from HP and Epson but haven’t used a Canon printer in many years, so testing this one was fun. The only feature I wasn’t able to test was the FAX, since I no longer have access to an analog phone line, but it’s a good legacy feature to have just in case. The setup is very easy through the built-in 4.3” LCD touchscreen display. The prints are high quality, crisp colors and dark blacks. The better quality photo paper you use, the better the prints will be. Pros: * Easy to use 4.3” touch-screen LCD, almost double the size of the competition * Animated instructions on LCD how to install ink cartridges * Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) scanning for up to a stack of 20 sheets * Automatic 2-sided printing, saves paper and trees * Wireless smartphone and chromebook printing in addition to the usual Windows, and MacOS printing * Multiple paper feeding options - bottom, back and top, depending on paper and print type * Built-in SD-card reader, can view and print pictures directly from it * Unique 5-cartridge system that offers greater, more accurate print quality * All connectivity options, USB, wired Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, Web Cons (minor): * Slower printing (but higher quality) than other comparable Inkjet printers 10-15 ppm * Bottom paper tray feels fragile and is a bit confusing to refill * Lower capacity (100) than other comparable printers

Canon continues to make good printers.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this Canon 8620 printer through the best buy tech insider network at no cost to test and give my honest opinion. I have had a Canon pixima 620 printer now for about 12 years, and it's still going strong. That being said, newer operating systems are making it obsolete. Support left off at windows 8.1. that is a good enough driver to get it to print by wire, but wifi is hit or miss. I set this printer up in about 10 minutes. Easy set up out of the box. Remove few tape pieces securing things, add printer ink (included are the xl versions of the 5 cartridges)and then follow onscreen instructions to align. The quick guide book is easy to follow that is included, and getting the drivers from Canon's website as instructed is simple. I set this up to print on my android phone, my windows 10 computers, and an iPad and iphone. All found this printer very easily. I will note I have all my devices connected wirelessly, I just have not tried by usb, which this does not include a cable (as per usual for the last 15 years or better). This also can be hardwired by ethernet cable if desired (also not included). I haven't tried that either, no need to for me right now. Now for the printing, quiet, colors are very good. I printed a few photos on photo paper for fun and very good quality. very much what I had with my old pixima 620. Scanning very easy via sheet feed or flatbed, it did a good job. Faxing is just as easy, no issues whatsoever. This will integrate into my home office easily. I recommend this printer without hesitation. It's a good price point for it, a name brand that is still holding to it's quality standards.

Horrible
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible printer. I have reinstalled four times. On the last attempt I thought I had it fixed but when I needed it to scan the error messages kept saying offline again. I wanted zero stars but the system will not let me leave the rating blank.

Horrible. Won't print UPC or lined charts
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible printer. It no longer prints any kind of chart or lined graphic such as a UPS return label with UPC bar code. It has plenty of fresh ink, have gone through every diagnostic step and cleaning process, yet it is unusable.
