Thin plastic low quality build.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several older Canon printers and got this one for a back up all in one in case one of my older units quit. With that said Pros the TR8620 setup network and wi fi all functions up and running less than 5 minutes. Prints text and documents quickly, scans and copies crisp clear images, fax sends and receives fines, 4x6 photos clear images accurate colors. CONS: Thin plastic construction trays doors and document feeder not a good feel or function If you plan to use everyday and leave on 24/7 for fax or print many photos the ink cartridges are very small and will run out quickly very costly to operate. It's an average all in one printing is fast, crisp and clear when printing front display window has to be lifted up position for paper to eject. It will serve my purpose for a backup all in one but my opinion for a CANON it should be better built and ink replacment to costly not to mention printer constantly conducts cleaning cycles wasting ink.

Super easy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Install was a breeze. No trouble at all, online setup was excellent. Print quality is superb, only concern is the small ink cartridges. Time will tell but so far this is a top-notch printer.

Does what it's supposed to do...and then some.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not jaw-dropping awesome, but the features are pretty nice. Wireless printing capability, compact design, and a sensitive touchscreen for responsive controls. The ink system is a little complex seeing as how you need 5 different cartridges, but it works to provide quality color prints.

Love this Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I love this printer. In helping friends and family set up a few different printers recently, I feel like this is one that tries to have some great advanced features, without overloading things and ruining the usability. Setup was really simple, but did take a while. I think like half an hour overall, but most of that time was it doing its own thing (printing, calibrating, connecting to the internet, etc.) Of that half hour only like 5 min. were me doing things. It does have a lot of ink cartridges, and it has 2 black ones which I don’t really understand. However, this is a big plus to me. Too many of the newer printers (one brand in particular) have these “convenient” all your colors in one cartridge. That’s a big scam and don’t fall for it. When your printer runs out of one color you have to replace the whole thing and throw out all the good inc in the other colors still in the cartridge. Always look for a printer with as many different color cartridges as it has actual colors it uses to print. All the prints come through clear and at a really good quality. I’m out of photo paper so I haven’t tested that yet, but I’m sure it will be great based on the other colors. The program to control the printer downloaded fine and works great. Really pretty simple. The scanner is a bit slow compared to other all–in-ones I’ve used, but nothing outrageous. The control screen is also an led display that has real words, no trying to guess what the blinking lights mean. It also makes selection from a menu easy. This is just a great printer and I would recommend it to anyone that is in the market for a new all-in-one unit.

Thank Goodness Unavailable - PizzaCrud
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for the Canon TR8620 all-in-one printer. Good size, seemingly decent quality (reviews), and speed, plus decent mobile-wireless interaction (printing from phones). Bought in 2020 "pandemic-era', it setup quickly and worked LOUDLY, but relatively quickly from the first uses. Then, the $80 ink cartridge sets started to evaporate - quickly!! Quicker than ANY INKJET PRINTER I've ever owned! Then paper jams (most of the time a software fault, not an actual jam, just reporting there was one). And more ink, and more ink and more ink. I'm printing only about 25-35 pages per month, but I'm replacing at least one ink cartridge every 2-3 months. This Canon printer was so bad, that I have already replaced it with an HP Color LaserJet (no ink - toner instead), and never going back to liquid inks. I'm using up the remaining inks for "junk printing" - work crud I have to read on paper, but then I'm not even going to sell this thing for $5.00, it goes to the E-Waste dump. That's how much of a pile-o-poo it is. I wouldn't have the heart to give it for free to someone.

Awful Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst printer ever!!! I’ve always been a huge fan of Canon printers and have used the PIXMA printers for years. This one is awful! Constantly offline and won’t activate when a project is sent to it. Now can’t print from IPhone despite WiFi being fine. Defaults to the photo printer when regular paper runs out, rather than just stopping and sending an alert. Goes thru ink very quickly. Paper tray is very flimsy and difficult to use. Huge disappointment. Stay away from this one!

I'm Sold!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You're going to read a lot of not-so-good reviews on the Canon TR8620a. In its defense I give it 5 stars. Why, you ask. A Geek came over yesterday and installed it and for the acid test I printed one of my photos and was sold. The 1-2 star reviews talk about the time it takes to print anything. Listen, I'm 74.5 years old with plenty of time on my hands. Regarding the aforementioned photo. It was like a baby being born.
