its awesome printer heard from Best Buy employee it does print pretty good pictures the ink is cheaper then office jet pro8035 u got to admit and they said upgrade from tr 4520

Works great for awhile then it begins to fail. Lose the print half through the process. Loses communication with printer whether you are using the cable provided or loses connection using Wi-Fi. Very frustrating. Must remove printer from Windows and do a total reload of Setup software in order to get it working! Then it just fails again a few days later! Don't buy this piece of junk!

Just received printer a couple of days ago set it up today. Wow for $200 it doesn’t even open the paper tray itself for printing! When you use AirPrint you have to go to printer open up front panel and pull out output tray for paper To come out to or it won’t print. Then when printing pictures you have to use back paper tray and you can only put in one piece of picture paper at a time. We’ll see how it goes but, for now I am not happy with purchase.

Echoing the first review, these new printers are of poor quality matching that of what Should be a $40 printer. My Pixma MX922 finally got the print head issue and I couldn't sort it out. Not feeling confident that it wasn't a sensor, I chose not to purchase a print head. Instead I started looking for similar models. This is a 'loose' interpretation of what should be a top end model. The irony: 1) Unbox printer, making sure to be careful in handling and removing the billion shipping stickers they use to keep things in place; 2) Plug device in; 3) Follow the steps up to the point of installing the ink; 4) Installs ink; PRINT.HEAD.ERROR Sooooo not happy. Knowing things can still shift in moving, I carefully remove everything, check all the inner workings related to the issue and find nothing (expected). Restarted the printer and same thing after the ink is installed. I've had canon's for decades due to the image quality (this does not meet the last model's quality!), but this is going to make me go look at Epson again.

If the installation manual were more thorough, I would have given it 5 Stars. I like it. Like anything else, I don't know what will happed down the road.

Horrible printer. I even did my research and looked at several different brands as well as different models in the Canon brand. Finally decided on this model. Wish I had done more research. I bought this printer on 10/31/2021 and at first, it worked beautifully. Now 90% of the time it doesn't print. I get errors that say the printer is offline when it is clearly online. After every single print job, it cycles through cleaning the heads or repositioning the heads, or something that is very loud. If you try to print anything during this loud cycling process it will never print. I don't usually post reviews, but I had to with this considering how much time and energy I put into researching and deciding which printer to buy; to have it fail after less than 2 months is heartbreaking, especially at the cost of $200. I could have bought a black & white laser printer for less and I'm sure it would have been more reliable. I guess I have a very expensive paperweight.

This is the worst printer i have ever purchased. This printer arrived by today and i have had it for less than a day and its given me a headache. In the initial setup, the printer asks permission to send private information to a place and if you dont agree to this term you cannot connect to Wi-fi, i agreed what ever.... I finally reached the part about setting up the ink or some bs like that. It did not print the test for setting up the paper or ink or whatever that test was. I threw suspicion out the window saying "its just a glitch because i wa messing with the settings." I then moved on to connect the printer to my phone and system, i tried to connect the printer to my system at first but it did not work i thought it might be a windows update that is not letting me connect so i moved on to my phone and it did not work kept giving me error 3774 i believe. So i decided that i should manually connect the printer to my wifi. It did not work kept giving me the same error code. I went though the settings and i found that i can scan a QR code and connect my phone to it. So i did that and it successfully connected to my phone YAY right? But no it did not even print!! It was just a bunch of blank papers! I reset the settings and turned it off restarted my system and my phone but nothing worked i gave up. Im taking it back first chance i get!! This is the work printer anyone could ever buy. $200 worth but its actually worth is only 10cents. I would not recommend this anyone. If anyone asks me my opinion i will tell them buy anything but a cannon. I used to love cannon printers i had used them for most of my life and when my last printer broke down this is what i get for being a loyal customer to cannon. Well not anymore.!!

Reason I gave a three , it keeps logging off of the Wi Fi connection and have to reconnect

Total junk. Half a day wasted getting it to connect properly over a variable 5g/2.4g auto network and a IOT network without success. If you shut it off to restart it, it will print one document before becoming inaccessible even though it is showing connected on the network. FAIL with both a PC and a MAC. It will be going back to BB today.

My first-time in use was successful with just printing an envelope. When I attempted to print a letter, it would just load paper and not print. Also, menu on printer is horrible. Keeps waiting for a response to press OK. I returned printer and found item to be poor in design and quite annoying with repeated menu response.
