Printer only worked 4 months

In less than 4 months, it stopped functioning properly. I received an error to insert paper and align it. There was already paper in it, but I opened it a took it out and re-aligned it. It sounded as if it was going to print, but received the error again. I tried about 15 times with more paper and less. Then I tried to clean the rollers. It told me to add 3 or more sheets of paper to finish the process. I put in 3 sheets, but received the same error. So after multiple attempts, I cancelled and tried to print again. No luck. The canon “warranty” process looks time consuming, so for a $60 printer, I’ll probably just replace it.
